2 Kings 20

1 Hezekiah, having received a message of death, by prayer hath his life lengthened. 8 The sun goeth ten degrees backward for a sign of that promise. 12 Berodach-baladan, sending to visit Hezekiah because of the wonder, hath notice of his treasures. 14 Isaiah understanding thereof foretelleth the Babylonian captivity. 20 Manasseh succeedeth Hezekiah.

 20:1 ¶ In those x1992 dayes 3117 was Hezekiah y2396 sicke 2470 z8804 x2396 vnto death: 4191 z8800 and the Prophet 5030 Isaiah 3470 the sonne 1121 of Amos 531 came 935 z8799 to x413 him, and saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Set thine house y1004 in order: 6680 z8761 x1004 for x3588 thou x859 shalt die, 4191 z8801 and not x3808 liue. 2421 z8799

 20:2 Then hee turned 5437 z8686 x853 his face 6440 to x413 the wall, 7023 and prayed 6419 z8691 vnto x413 the LORD, 3068 saying; 559 z8800

 20:3 I beseech y577 thee, x577 O LORD, 3068 remember 2142 z8798 now x4994 x853 how x834 I haue walked 1980 z8694 before 6440 thee in trueth, 571 and with a perfect 8003 heart, 3824 and haue done 6213 z8804 that which is good 2896 in thy sight: 5869 and Hezekiah 2396 wept 1058 z8799 y1065 sore. 1419 x1065

 20:4 And it came to passe x1961 afore x3808 Isaiah 3470 was gone out 3318 z8804 into the middle 8484 court, 2691 z8675 y5892 that the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 to x413 him, saying: 559 z8800

 20:5 Turne againe, 7725 z8798 and tell 559 z8804 x413 Hezekiah 2396 the captaine 5057 of my people, 5971 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 the God 430 of Dauid 1732 thy father, 1 I haue heard 8085 z8804 x853 thy prayer, 8605 I haue seene 7200 z8804 x853 thy teares: 1832 behold, x2009 I will heale 7495 z8802 thee; on the third 7992 day 3117 thou shalt goe vp 5927 z8799 vnto the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

 20:6 And I will adde 3254 z8689 vnto x5921 thy dayes 3117 fifteene 2568 6240 yeeres, 8141 and I will deliuer 5337 z8686 thee, and this x2063 city, 5892 out of the hand 3709 x4480 of the king 4428 of Assyria, 804 and I will defend 1598 z8804 x5921 this x2063 citie 5892 for mine owne sake, x4616 and for my seruant 5650 Dauids 1732 sake. x4616

 20:7 And Isaiah 3470 said, 559 z8799 Take 3947 z8798 a lumpe 1690 of figs. 8384 And they tooke 3947 z8799 and layd 7760 z8799 [it] on x5921 the boile, 7822 and he recouered. 2421 z8799

 20:8 ¶ And Hezekiah 2396 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Isaiah, 3470 What x4100 [shall bee] the signe 226 that x3588 the LORD 3068 wil heale 7495 z8799 me, and that I shall goe vp 5927 z8804 into the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 the third 7992 day? 3117

 20:9 And Isaiah 3470 said, 559 z8799 This x2088 signe 226 shalt thou [haue] of x4480 x854 the LORD, 3068 that x3588 the LORD 3068 will doe 6213 z8799 x853 the thing 1697 that x834 hee hath spoken: 1696 z8765 shall the shadow 6738 goe forward 1980 z8804 ten 6235 degrees, 4609 or x518 goe backe 7725 z8799 tenne 6235 degrees? 4609

 20:10 And Hezekiah 3169 answered, 559 z8799 It is a light thing 7043 z8738 for the shadow 6738 to go downe 5186 z8800 tenne 6235 degrees: 4609 nay, x3808 but x3588 let the shadow 6738 returne 7725 z8799 backward 322 tenne 6235 degrees. 4609

 20:11 And Isaiah 3470 the Prophet 5030 cryed 7121 z8799 vnto x413 the LORD, 3068 and he brought 7725 z8686 x853 the shadow 6738 tenne 6235 degrees 4609 backeward, 322 by y4609 which x834 it had gone downe 3381 z8804 in the diall 4609 of Ahaz. 271

 20:12 ¶ At that x1931 time 6256 Berodach-Baladan 1255 the sonne 1121 of Baladan 1081 King 4428 of Babylon, 894 sent 7971 z8804 letters 5612 and a present 4503 vnto x413 Hezekiah: 2396 for x3588 he had heard 8085 z8804 that x3588 Hezekiah 2396 had beene sicke. 2470 z8804

 20:13 And Hezekiah 2396 hearkened 8085 z8799 vnto x5921 them, and shewed 7200 z8686 them x853 x3605 the house 1004 of his precious things, 5238 x853 the siluer, 3701 and the golde, 2091 and the spices, 1314 and the precious 2896 oyntment, 8081 and all the house 1004 of his armour, 3627 and all x3605 that x834 was found 4672 z8738 in his treasures: 214 there was x1961 nothing 1697 x3808 in his house, 1004 nor in all x3605 his dominion, 4475 that x834 Hezekiah 2396 shewed 7200 z8689 them not. x3808

 20:14 ¶ Then came 935 z8799 Isaiah 3470 the Prophet 5030 vnto x413 King 4428 Hezekiah, 2396 and sayde 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, What x4100 sayd 559 z8804 these x428 men? y582 x376 and from whence 370 x4480 came 935 z8799 they vnto x413 thee? And Hezekiah 2396 sayde, 559 z8799 They are come 935 z8804 from a farre y7350 countrey, 776 x4480 x7350 [euen] from Babylon. 894 x4480

 20:15 And he said, 559 z8799 What x4100 haue they seene 7200 z8804 in thine house? 1004 And Hezekiah 2396 answered, 559 z8799 x853 All x3605 the things that x834 [are] in mine house 1004 haue they seene: 7200 z8804 there is x1961 nothing 1697 x3808 among my treasures, 214 that x834 I haue not x3808 shewed 7200 z8689 them.

 20:16 And Isaiah 3470 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Hezekiah, 2396 Heare 8085 z8798 the word 1697 of the LORD. 3068

 20:17 Behold, x2009 the dayes 3117 come, 935 z8802 that all x3605 that x834 is in thine house, 1004 and that which x834 thy fathers 1 haue layde vp in store 686 z8804 vnto x5704 this x2088 day, 3117 shall be caried 5375 z8738 vnto Babylon: 894 nothing 1697 x3808 shall be left, 3498 z8735 sayth 559 z8804 the LORD. 3068

 20:18 And of thy sonnes 1121 x4480 that x834 shall issue 3318 z8799 from x4480 thee, which x834 thou shalt beget, 3205 z8686 shall they take away, 3947 z8799 and they shall bee x1961 Eunuches 5631 in the palace 1964 of the king 4428 of Babylon. 894

 20:19 Then said 559 z8799 Hezekiah 2396 vnto x413 Isaiah, 3470 Good 2896 is the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 which x834 thou hast spoken. 1696 z8765 And he said, 559 z8799 Is it not x3808 good, if x518 peace 7965 and trueth 571 be x1961 in my dayes? 3117

 20:20 ¶ And the rest 3499 of the actes 1697 of Hezekiah, 2396 and all x3605 his might, 1369 and how x834 hee made 6213 z8804 x853 a poole 1295 and a conduit, 8585 & brought 935 z8686 x853 water 4325 into the city, 5892 are they x1992 not x3808 written 3789 z8803 in x5921 the booke 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Iudah? 3063

 20:21 And Hezekiah 2396 slept 7901 z8799 with x5973 his fathers, 1 and Manasseh 4519 his sonne 1121 reigned 4427 z8799 in his stead. x8478
