2 Kings 24

1 Jehoiakim, first subdued by Nebuchadnezzar, then rebelleth against him, procureth his own ruin. 6 Jehoiachin succeedeth him. 7 The king of Egypt is vanquished by the king of Babylon. 8 Jehoiachin's evil reign. 10 Jerusalem is taken and carried captive into Babylon. 17 Zedekiah is made king, and reigneth ill unto the utter destruction of Judah.

 24:1 ¶ In his dayes 3117 Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 came vp, 5927 z8804 and Iehoiakim 3079 became x1961 his seruant 5650 three 7969 yeeres: 8141 then hee turned 7725 z8799 and rebelled 4775 z8799 against him.

 24:2 And the LORD 3068 sent 7971 z8762 against him x853 bands 1416 of the Chaldees, 3778 and bandes 1416 of the Syrians, 758 and bandes 1416 of the Moabites, 4124 and bands 1416 of the children 1121 of Ammon, 5983 and sent 7971 z8762 them against Iudah 3063 to destroy 6 z8687 it, according to the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 which x834 hee spake 1696 z8765 by 3027 his seruants 5650 the Prophets. 5030

 24:3 Surely x389 at x5921 the commandement 6310 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 [this] vpon Iudah, 3063 to remooue 5493 z8687 [them] out of x4480 x5921 his sight, 6440 for the sinnes 2403 of Manasseh, 4519 according to all x3605 that x834 he did: 6213 z8804

 24:4 And also x1571 for the innocent 5355 blood 1818 that x834 hee shedde: 8210 z8804 (for hee filled 4390 z8762 x853 Ierusalem 3389 with innocent 5355 blood) 1818 which the LORD 3068 would 14 z8804 not x3808 pardon. 5545 z8800

 24:5 ¶ Nowe the rest 3499 of the actes 1697 of Iehoiakim, 3079 and all x3605 that x834 he did, 6213 z8804 are they x1992 not x3808 written 3789 z8803 in x5921 the booke 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Iudah? 3063

 24:6 So Iehoiakim 3079 slept 7901 z8799 with x5973 his fathers: 1 and Iehoiachin 3078 his sonne 1121 reigned 4427 z8799 in his stead. x8478

 24:7 And the king 4428 of Egypt 4714 came 3318 z8800 not x3808 againe 3254 z8689 any more x5750 out of his land: 776 x4480 for x3588 the King 4428 of Babylon 894 had taken 3947 z8804 from the riuer y5158 x4480 x5104 of Egypt, 4714 vnto x5704 the riuer y5104 x4480 x5158 Euphrates, 6578 all x3605 that x834 pertained x1961 to the King 4428 of Egypt. 4714

 24:9 And hee did 6213 z8799 that [which was] euill 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 according to all x3605 that x834 his father 1 had done. 6213 z8804

 24:10 ¶ At that x1931 time 6256 the seruants 5650 of Nebuchadnezzar 5019 King 4428 of Babylon 894 came vp 5927 z8804 against Ierusalem, 3389 and the citie 5892 was besieged. 935 4692 z8799

 24:11 And Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 came 935 z8799 against x5921 the citie, 5892 and his seruants 5650 did besiege 6696 z8802 x5921 it.

 24:12 And Iehoiachin 3078 the King 4428 of Iudah 3063 went out 3318 z8799 to x5921 the king 4428 of Babylon, 894 hee, x1931 and his mother, 517 and his seruants, 5650 and his princes, 8269 and his officers: 5631 and the king 4428 of Babylon 894 tooke 3947 z8799 him in the eight 8083 yeere 8141 of his reigne. 4427 z8800

 24:13 And hee caried out 3318 z8686 thence x4480 x8033 x853 all x3605 the treasures 214 of the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and the treasure 214 of the kings 4428 house, 1004 and cut in pieces 7112 z8762 x853 all x3605 the vessels 3627 of gold 2091 which x834 Solomon 8010 King 4428 of Israel 3478 had made 6213 z8804 in the Temple 1964 of the LORD, 3068 as x834 the LORD 3068 had said. 1696 z8765

 24:14 And hee caried away 1540 z8689 x853 all x3605 Ierusalem, 3389 and all x3605 the princes, 8269 & all x3605 the mighty men 1368 of valour, 2428 [euen] tenne 6235 thousand 505 captiues, 1540 z8802 and all x3605 the craftsmen, 2796 and smiths: 4525 none x3808 remained, 7604 z8738 saue 2108 the poorest sort 1803 of the people 5971 of the land. 776

 24:15 And he caried away 1540 z8686 x853 Iehoiachin 3078 to Babylon, 894 and the kings 4428 mother, 517 and the kings 4428 wiues, 802 and his officers, 5631 and the mighty 352 z8675 y193 of the land, 776 those caried y3212 z8689 x1980 hee into captiuitie, 1473 from Ierusalem 3389 x4480 to Babylon. 894

 24:16 And all x3605 the men y582 x376 of might, 2428 [euen] seuen 7651 thousand, 505 and craftesmen, 2796 & smiths 4525 a thousand, 505 all x3605 that were strong 1368 and apt 6213 z8802 for warre, 4421 euen them the king 4428 of Babylon 894 brought 935 z8686 captiue 1473 to Babylon. 894

 24:17 ¶ And the king 4428 of Babylon 894 made x4427 x853 Mattaniah 4983 his fathers brother 1730 king 4427 z8686 in his stead, x8478 and changed 5437 z8686 x853 his name 8034 to Zedekiah. 6667

 24:18 Zedekiah 6667 [was] twentie 6242 and one 259 yeeres 8141 olde 1121 when hee began to reigne, 4427 z8800 [and] he reigned 4427 z8804 eleuen 259 6240 yeeres 8141 in Ierusalem: 3389 and his mothers 517 name 8034 was Hamutal, 2537 the daughter 1323 of Ieremiah 3414 of Libnah. 3841 x4480

 24:19 And hee did 6213 z8799 that [which was] euill 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 according to all x3605 that x834 Iehoiachin 3079 had done. 6213 z8804

 24:20 For x3588 through x5921 the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 it came to passe x1961 in Ierusalem 3389 and Iudah, 3063 vntill x5704 he had cast them out 7993 z8689 x853 from x4480 x5921 his presence, 6440 that Zedekiah 6667 rebelled 4775 z8799 against the king 4428 of Babylon. 894
