1 Kings 9

1 God's Covenant in a vision with Solomon. 10 The mutual presents of Solomon and Hiram. 15 In Solomon's works the Gentiles were his bondmen, the Israelites honourable servants. 24 Pharaoh's daughter removeth to her house. 25 Solomon's yearly solemn sacrifices. 26 His navy fetcheth gold from Ophir.

 9:1 ¶ And it came to passe, x1961 when Solomon 8010 had finished 3615 z8763 the building 1129 z8800 of x853 the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and the kings 4428 house, 1004 and all x3605 Solomons 8010 desire 2837 which x834 hee was pleased 2654 z8804 to doe, 6213 z8800

 9:2 That the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 to x413 Solomon 8010 the second time, 8145 as x834 hee had appeared 7200 z8738 vnto x413 him at Gibeon. 1391

 9:3 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, I haue heard 8085 z8804 x853 thy prayer 8605 and thy supplication 8467 that x834 thou hast made y2603 z8694 x2063 before 6440 me: I haue hallowed 6942 z8689 x853 this x2088 house 1004 which x834 thou hast built, 1129 z8804 to put 7760 z8800 my Name 8034 there x8033 for y5704 euer, 5769 x5704 and mine eyes 5869 and mine heart 3820 shall be x1961 there x8033 perpetually. 3117 x3605

 9:4 And if x518 thou x859 wilt walke y3212 z8799 x1980 before 6440 me, as x834 Dauid 1732 thy father 1 walked, 1980 z8804 in integritie 8537 of heart, 3824 and in vprightnesse, 3476 to doe 6213 z8800 according to all x3605 that x834 I haue commanded 6680 z8765 thee, [and] wilt keepe 8104 z8799 my Statutes, 2706 and my Iudgements: 4941

 9:5 Then I will establish 6965 z8689 x853 the throne 3678 of thy kingdome 4467 vpon x5921 Israel 3478 for euer, 5769 as x834 I promised 1696 z8765 to x5921 Dauid 1732 thy father, 1 saying, 559 z8800 There shall not x3808 faile 3772 z8735 thee a man 376 vpon x4480 x5921 the throne 3678 of Israel. 3478

 9:6 [But] if x518 you shall at all y7725 z8800 turne 7725 z8799 from following 310 x4480 me, you x859 or your children, 1121 and will not x3808 keepe 8104 z8799 my Commandements, 4687 [and] my Statutes, 2708 which x834 I haue set 5414 z8804 before 6440 you, but goe 1980 z8804 and serue 5647 z8804 other 312 gods, 430 and worship 7812 z8694 them:

 9:7 Then will I cut off 3772 z8689 x853 Israel 3478 out y6440 of x4480 x5921 x6440 the land 127 which x834 I haue giuen 5414 z8804 them; and this house 1004 which x834 I haue hallowed 6942 z8689 for my Name, 8034 will I cast x7971 out y7971 z8762 of x4480 x5921 my sight, 6440 and Israel 3478 shall bee x1961 a prouerbe, 4912 and a by-word 8148 among all x3605 people: 5971

 9:8 And at this x2088 house 1004 [which] is x1961 high, 5945 euery one x3605 that passeth 5674 z8802 by x5921 it, shalbe astonished, 8074 z8799 and shall hisse, 8319 z8804 and they shal say, 559 z8804 Why x4100 hath the LORD 3068 done 6213 z8804 thus x3602 vnto this x2063 land, 776 and to this x2088 house? 1004

 9:9 And they shall answere, 559 z8804 Because x5921 x834 they forsooke 5800 z8804 x853 the LORD 3068 their God, 430 who x834 brought forth 3318 z8689 x853 their fathers 1 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 and haue taken hold 2388 z8686 vpon other 312 gods, 430 and haue worshipped 7812 z8691 them, and serued 5647 z8799 them: therefore x5921 x3651 hath the LORD 3068 brought 935 z8689 vpon x5921 them x853 all x3605 this x2063 euill. 7451

 9:10 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 at the end 7097 x4480 of twentie 6242 yeeres, 8141 when x834 Solomon 8010 had built 1129 z8804 x853 the two 8147 houses, 1004 x853 the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and the Kings 4428 house, 1004

 9:11 ([Now] Hiram 2438 the king 4428 of Tyre 6865 had furnished 5375 z8765 x853 Solomon 8010 with Cedar 730 trees, 6086 and firre 1265 trees, 6086 and with golde 2091 according to al x3605 his desire) 2656 that then 227 4428 Solomon 8010 gaue 5414 z8799 Hiram 2438 twentie 6242 cities 5892 in the land 776 of Galile. 1551

 9:12 And Hiram 2438 came out 3318 z8799 from Tyre 6865 x4480 to see 7200 z8800 x853 the cities 5892 which x834 Solomon 8010 had giuen 5414 z8804 him, and they pleased 3474 5869 z8804 him not. x3808

 9:13 And he said, 559 z8799 What x4100 cities 5892 [are] these x428 which x834 thou hast giuen 5414 z8804 me, my brother? 251 And he called 7121 z8799 them the land 776 of Cabul 3521 vnto x5704 this x2088 day. 3117

 9:14 And Hiram 2438 sent 7971 z8799 to the king 4428 sixe score 3967 6242 talents 3603 of gold. 2091

 9:15 ¶ And this x2088 [is] the reason 1697 of the leuie 4522 which x834 king 4428 Solomon 8010 raised, 5927 z8689 for to build 1129 z8800 x853 the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and his owne house, 1004 and Millo, 4407 and the wall 2346 of Ierusalem, 3389 and Hazor, 2674 and Megiddo, 4023 and Gezer. 1507

 9:16 [For] Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 had gone vp, 5927 z8804 and taken 3920 z8799 x853 Gezer, 1507 and burnt 8313 z8799 it with fire, 784 and slaine 2026 z8804 the Canaanites 3669 that dwelt 3427 z8802 in the citie, 5892 and giuen 5414 z8799 it for a present 7964 vnto his daughter 1323 Solomons 8010 wife. 802

 9:17 And Solomon 8010 built 1129 z8799 x853 Gezer, 1507 and Beth-horon 1032 the nether, 8481

 9:18 And Baalath, 1191 and Tadmor 8412 in the wildernesse, 4057 in the land. 776

 9:19 And all x3605 the cities 5892 of store 4543 that x834 Solomon 8010 had, x1961 and cities 5892 for his charets, 7393 and cities 5892 for his horsemen, 6571 and that y2837 which x834 Solomon 8010 disired 2836 z8804 to build 1129 z8800 in Ierusalem, 3389 and in Lebanon, 3844 and in all x3605 the land 776 of his dominion. 4475

 9:20 [And] all x3605 the people 5971 that were left 3498 z8737 of x4480 the Amorites, 567 Hittittes, 2850 Perizzites, 6522 Hiuites, 2340 and Iebusites, 2983 which x834 were not x3808 of the children 1121 x4480 of Israel, 3478

 9:21 Their children 1121 that x834 were left 3498 z8738 after 310 them in the land, 776 whom x834 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 also were not x3808 able 3201 z8804 vtterly to destroy, 2763 z8687 vpon those did Solomon 8010 leuie 5927 z8686 a tribute y4522 of bond-seruice 5647 z8802 x4522 vnto x5704 this x2088 day. 3117

 9:22 But of the children 1121 x4480 of Israel 3478 did Solomon 8010 make 5414 z8804 no x3808 bondmen: 5650 but x3588 they x1992 [were] men y582 x376 of warre, 4421 and his seruants, 5650 and his princes, 8269 and his captaines, 7991 and rulers 8269 of his charets, 7393 and his horsemen. 6571

 9:23 These x428 [were] the chiefe 8269 of the officers 5324 z8737 that x834 [were] ouer x5921 Solomons 8010 worke, 4399 fiue 2568 hundred 3967 and fiftie, 2572 which bare rule 7287 z8802 ouer the people 5971 that wrought 6213 z8804 in the worke. 4399

 9:24 ¶ But x389 Pharaohs 6547 daughter 1323 came vp 5927 z8804 out of the citie 5892 x4480 of Dauid, 1732 vnto x413 her house 1004 which x834 Solomon had built 1129 z8804 for her: then x227 did he build 1129 z8804 x853 Millo. 4407

 9:25 ¶ And three 7969 times 6471 in a yeere 8141 did Solomon 8010 offer 5927 z8689 burnt offerings, 5930 and peace offerings 8002 vpon x5921 the Altar 4196 which x834 he built 1129 z8804 vnto the LORD, 3068 and he burnt incense 6999 z8687 vpon x854 the altar y4196 that x834 [was] before 6440 the LORD: 3068 so he finished 7999 z8765 x853 the house. 1004

 9:26 ¶ And king 4428 Solomon 8010 made 6213 z8804 a nauie of ships 590 in Ezion Geber, 6100 which x834 [is] beside x854 Eloth, 359 on x5921 the shoare 8193 of the red 5488 sea, 3220 in the land 776 of Edom. 123

 9:27 And Hiram 2438 sent 7971 z8799 in the nauie 590 x853 his seruants, 5650 shipmen 591 y582 x376 that had knowledge 3045 z8802 of the Sea, 3220 with x5973 the seruants 5650 of Solomon. 8010

 9:28 And they came 935 z8799 to Ophir, 211 and fet 3947 z8799 from thence x4480 x8033 gold 2091 foure 702 hundred 3967 and twentie 6242 talents, 3603 and brought 935 z8686 [it] to x413 king 4428 Solomon. 8010
