1 Kings 14

1 Abijah being sick, Jeroboam sendeth his wife disguised with presents to the prophet Ahijah at Shiloh. 5 Ahijah, forewarned by God, denounceth God's judgment. 17 Abijah dieth, and is buried. 19 Nabab succeedeth Jeroboam. 21 Rehoboam's wicked reign. 25 Shishak spoileth Jerusalem. 29 Abijam succeedeth Rehoboam.

 14:1 ¶ At that x1931 time 6256 Abiiah 29 the sonne 1121 of Ieroboam 3379 fell sicke. 2470 z8804

 14:2 And Ieroboam 3379 said 559 z8799 to his wife, 802 Arise, 6965 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 and disguise y8138 z8690 thy selfe, x8138 that x3588 thou x859 be not x3808 knowen 3045 z8799 to be the wife 802 of Ieroboam: 3379 and get 1980 z8804 thee to Shiloh: 7887 Behold, x2009 there x8033 [is] Ahiiah 281 the Prophet, 5030 which x1931 told 1696 z8765 x5921 mee that I should [be] king 4428 ouer x5921 this x2088 people. 5971

 14:3 And take 3947 z8804 with x3027 thee y3027 ten 6235 loaues, 3899 and cracknels, 5350 and a cruse 1228 of honie, 1706 and goe 935 z8804 to x413 him: he x1931 shall tell 5046 z8686 thee what x4100 shall become x1961 of the childe. 5288

 14:4 And Ieroboams 3379 wife 802 did x6213 so, y6213 z8799 x3651 and arose, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 to Shiloh, 7887 and came 935 z8799 to the house 1004 of Ahiiah: 281 but Ahiiah 281 could 3201 z8804 not x3808 see, 7200 z8800 for x3588 his eyes 5869 were set 6965 z8804 by reason of his age. 7869 x4480

 14:5 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8804 vnto x413 Ahiiah, 281 Behold, x2009 the wife 802 of Ieroboam 3379 commeth 935 z8802 to aske 1875 z8800 a thing 1697 of x4480 x5973 thee for x413 her sonne, 1121 for x3588 hee x1931 is sicke: 2470 z8802 thus 2090 and thus x2088 shalt thou say 1696 z8762 vnto x413 her: for it shall be x1961 when shee commeth in, 935 z8800 that shee x1931 shall faine her selfe to be another y5234 z8693 woman. x5234

 14:6 And it was x1961 so, when Ahiiah 281 heard 8085 z8800 x853 the sound 6963 of her feet, 7272 as she came in 935 z8802 at the doore, 6607 that hee said, 559 z8799 Come in, 935 z8798 thou wife 802 of Ieroboam, 3379 why x4100 x2088 fainest thou thy selfe to be another? 5234 z8693 x859 for I x595 am sent 7971 z8803 to x413 thee with heauie 7186 [tidings].

 14:7 Goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 tell 559 z8798 Ieroboam, 3379 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 Forasmuch x3282 x834 as y3282 I exalted 7311 z8689 thee from among 8432 x4480 the people, 5971 and made 5414 z8799 thee prince 5057 ouer x5921 my people 5971 Israel, 3478

 14:8 And rent 7167 z0 x853 the kingdome 4467 away y7167 z8799 from the house 1004 x4480 of Dauid, 1732 and gaue 5414 z8799 it thee: and [yet] thou hast not x3808 beene x1961 as my seruant 5650 Dauid, 1732 who x834 kept 8104 z8804 my Commandements, 4687 and who x834 followed 1980 310 z8804 mee with all x3605 his heart, 3824 to doe 6213 z8800 that onely x7535 which was right 3477 in mine eyes, 5869

 14:9 But hast done 6213 z8800 euill 7489 z8686 aboue all x4480 x3605 that x834 were x1961 before 6440 thee: for thou hast gone y3212 z8799 x1980 and made 6213 z8799 thee other 312 gods, 430 and molten images, 4541 to prouoke me to anger, 3707 z8687 and hast cast 7993 z8689 me behinde 310 thy backe: 1458

 14:10 Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 I will bring 935 z8688 euill 7451 vpon x413 the house 1004 of Ieroboam, 3379 and will cut off 3772 z8689 from Ieroboam, 3379 him that pisseth 8366 z8688 against the wall, 7023 [and] him that [is] shut vp 6113 z8803 and left 5800 z8803 in Israel, 3478 and will take away 1197 z8765 the remnant 310 of the house 1004 of Ieroboam, 3379 as x834 a man taketh away 1197 z8762 dung, 1557 till x5704 it be all gone. 8552 z8800

 14:11 Him that dieth 4191 z8801 of Ieroboam 3379 in the citie, 5892 shall the dogs 3611 eate: 398 z8799 and him that dieth 4191 z8801 in the field, 7704 shall the foules 5775 of the aire 8064 eate: 398 z8799 for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath spoken 1696 z8765 [it].

 14:12 Arise 6965 z8798 thou x859 therefore, get y3212 z8798 x1980 thee to thine owne house: 1004 and when thy feete 7272 enter 935 z8800 into the citie, 5892 the child 3206 shall die. 4191 z8804

 14:13 And all x3605 Israel 3478 shall mourne 5594 z8804 for him, and bury 6912 z8804 him: for x3588 x2088 he onely x905 of Ieroboam 3379 shal come 935 z8799 to x413 the graue, 6913 because x3282 in him there is found 4672 z8738 some good 2896 thing 1697 toward x413 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 in the house 1004 of Ieroboam. 3379

 14:14 Moreouer, the LORD 3068 shall raise him vp 6965 z8689 a king 4428 ouer x5921 Israel, 3478 who x834 shal cut off 3772 z8686 x853 the house 1004 of Ieroboam 3379 that x2088 day: 3117 but what? x4100 euen x1571 now. x6258

 14:15 For the LORD 3068 shall smite 5221 z8689 x853 Israel, 3478 as x834 a reede 7070 is shaken 5110 z8799 in the water, 4325 and hee shall root vp 5428 z8804 x853 Israel 3478 out of x4480 x5921 this x2063 good 2896 land, 127 which x834 hee gaue 5414 z8804 to their fathers, 1 and shall scatter 2219 z8765 them beyond 5676 x4480 the Riuer, 5104 because x3282 x834 they haue made 6213 z8804 x853 their groues, 842 prouoking the LORD y3068 to anger. 3707 z8688 x853 x3068

 14:16 And hee shall giue y5414 z0 Israel y3478 vp, 5414 z8799 x853 x3478 because 1558 of the sinnes 2403 of Ieroboam, 3379 who x834 did sinne, 2398 z8804 & who x834 made Israel y3478 to sinne. 2398 z8689 x853 x3478

 14:17 ¶ And Ieroboams 3379 wife 802 arose, 6965 z8799 and departed, y3212 z8799 x1980 and came 935 z8799 to Tirzah: 8656 [and] when shee x1931 came 935 z8802 to the threshold 5592 of the doore, 1004 the child 5288 died. 4191 z8804

 14:18 And they buried 6912 z8799 him, and all x3605 Israel 3478 mourned 5594 z8799 for him, according to the word 1697 of the LORD, 3068 which x834 hee spake 1696 z8765 by the hand 3027 of his seruant 5650 Ahiiah 281 the Prophet. 5030

 14:19 And the rest 3499 of the actes 1697 of Ieroboam, 3379 how x834 hee warred, 3898 z8738 and how x834 hee reigned, 4427 z8804 behold, x2009 they [are] written 3789 z8803 in x5921 the booke 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the kings 4428 of Israel. 3478

 14:20 And the dayes 3117 which x834 Ieroboam 3379 reigned, 4427 z8804 [were] two 8147 and twentie 6242 yeeres: 8141 and he slept 7901 z8799 with x5973 his fathers, 1 and Nadab 5070 his sonne 1121 reigned 4427 z8799 in his stead. x8478

 14:21 ¶ And Rehoboam 7346 the sonne 1121 of Solomon 8010 reigned 4427 z8804 in Iudah: 3063 Rehoboam 7346 [was] fourtie 705 and one 259 yeeres 8141 olde 1121 when he began to reigne, 4427 z8800 and hee reigned 4427 z8804 seuenteene 7651 6240 yeeres 8141 in Ierusalem, 3389 the citie 5892 which x834 the LORD 3068 did chuse 977 z8804 out of all x4480 x3605 the tribes 7626 of Israel, 3478 to put 7760 z8800 x853 his Name 8034 there: x8033 and his mothers 517 name 8034 was Naamah 5279 an Ammonitesse. y5985 x5984

 14:22 And Iudah 3063 did 6213 z8799 euill 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 and they prouoked him to iealousie 7065 z8762 x853 with their sinnes 2403 which x834 they had committed, 2398 z8804 aboue all x4480 x3605 that x834 their fathers 1 had done. 6213 z8804

 14:23 For they x1992 also x1571 built 1129 z8799 them high places, 1116 and images, 4676 and groues 842 on x5921 euery x3605 high 1364 hill, 1389 and vnder x8478 euery x3605 greene 7488 tree. 6086

 14:24 And there were x1961 also x1571 Sodomites 6945 in the land, 776 [and] they did 6213 z8804 according to all x3605 the abominations 8441 of the nations 1471 which x834 the LORD 3068 cast out 3423 z8689 before 6440 x4480 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 14:25 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 in the fift 2549 yeere 8141 of king 4428 Rehoboam, 7346 [that] Shishak 7895 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 came vp 5927 z8804 against x5921 Ierusalem: 3389

 14:26 And he tooke away 3947 z8799 x853 the treasures 214 of the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and the treasures 214 of the kings 4428 house, 1004 hee euen tooke away 3947 z8804 all: x3605 and he tooke away 3947 z8799 x853 all x3605 the shields 4043 of gold 2091 which x834 Solomon 8010 had made. 6213 z8804

 14:27 And king 4428 Rehoboam 7346 made 6213 z8799 in their stead x8478 brasen 5178 shields, 4043 and committed 6485 z8689 them vnto x5921 the hands 3027 of the chiefe 8269 of the guard, 7323 z8801 which kept 8104 z8802 the doore 6607 of the kings 4428 house. 1004

 14:28 And it was x1961 so, when 1767 x4480 the king 4428 went 935 z8800 into the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 that the guard 7323 z8801 bare 5375 z8799 them, and brought them backe 7725 z8689 into x413 the guard-chamber. 7323 8372 z8801

 14:29 ¶ Nowe the rest 3499 of the actes 1697 of Rehoboam, 7346 and all x3605 that x834 hee did, 6213 z8804 are they x1992 not x3808 written 3789 z8803 in x5921 the booke 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the kings 4428 of Iudah? 3063

 14:30 And there was x1961 warre 4421 betweene x996 Rehoboam 7346 and Ieroboam 3379 all x3605 [their] dayes. 3117

 14:31 And Rehoboam 7346 slept 7901 z8799 with x5973 his fathers, 1 and was buried 6912 z8735 with x5973 his fathers 1 in the city 5892 of Dauid: 1732 and his mothers 517 name 8034 was Naamah 5279 an Ammonitesse. y5985 x5984 And Abijam 38 his sonne 1121 reigned 4427 z8799 in his stead. x8478
