1 Ahab, seduced by false prophets, according to the word of Micaiah, is slain at Ramoth-gilead. 37 The dogs lick up his blood, and Ahaziah succeedeth him. 41 Jehoshaphat's good reign. 45 His acts. 50 Jehoram succeedeth him. 51 Ahaziah's evil reign.

 22:1 ¶ And they continued 3427 z8799 three 7969 yeeres 8141 without x369 warre 4421 betweene x996 Syria 758 and Israel. 3478

 22:2 And it came to passe x1961 on the third 7992 yere, 8141 that Iehoshaphat 3092 the King 4428 of Iudah 3063 came downe 3381 z8799 to x413 the king 4428 of Israel. 3478

 22:3 (And the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 his seruants, 5650 Know 3045 z8804 ye that x3588 Ramoth y7433 in Gilead y1568 x7433 is ours, and wee x587 be still, 2814 z8688 [and] take 3947 z8800 x4480 it not out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the king 4428 of Syria?) 758

 22:4 And hee said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Iehoshaphat, 3092 Wilt thou goe y3212 z8799 x1980 with x854 me to battel 4421 to Ramoth Gilead? 7433 y1568 And Iehoshaphat 3092 said 559 z8799 to x413 the king 4428 of Israel, 3478 I [am] as thou y3644 [art], my people 5971 as thy people, 5971 my horses 5483 as thy horses. 5483

 22:5 And Iehoshaphat 3092 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the king 4428 of Israel, 3478 Enquire, 1875 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 at x853 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 to day. 3117

 22:6 Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 gathered y6908 z0 the prophets y5030 together 6908 z8799 x853 x5030 about foure 702 hundred 3967 men, 376 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, Shall I goe y3212 z8799 x1980 against x5921 Ramoth Gilead 7433 y1568 to battell, 4421 or x518 shall I forbeare? 2308 z8799 And they said, 559 z8799 Goe vp, 5927 z8798 for the Lord 136 shall deliuer 5414 z8799 it into the hand 3027 of the king. 4428

 22:7 And Iehoshaphat 3092 said, 559 z8799 [Is] there not x369 here x6311 a Prophet 5030 of the LORD 3068 besides, 5750 that we might enquire 1875 z8799 of x4480 x854 him?

 22:8 And the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Iehoshaphat, 3092 There is yet x5750 one 259 man, 376 (Micaiah 4321 the sonne 1121 of Imlah) 3229 by x4480 x854 whom we may enquire 1875 z8800 of x853 the LORD; 3068 but I x589 hate 8130 z8804 him, for x3588 he doth not x3808 prophesie 5012 z8691 good 2896 concerning x5921 me, but x3588 x518 euill. 7451 And Iehoshaphat 3092 said, 559 z8799 Let not x408 the King 4428 say 559 z8799 so. x3651

 22:9 Then the king 4428 of Israel 3478 called 7121 z8799 x413 an 259 Officer, 5631 and said, 559 z8799 Hasten 4116 z8761 [hither] Micaiah 4321 the sonne 1121 of Imlah. 3229

 22:10 And the King 4428 of Israel 3478 and Iehoshaphat 3092 the King 4428 of Iudah 3063 sate 3427 z8802 each 376 on x5921 his throne, 3678 hauing put on 3847 z8794 their robes, 899 in a voyd place 1637 in the entrance 6607 of the gate 8179 of Samaria, 8111 and all x3605 the Prophets 5030 prophecied 5012 z8693 before 6440 them.

 22:11 And Zedekiah 6667 the sonne 1121 of Chenaanah 3668 made 6213 z8799 him hornes 7161 of yron: 1270 and he sayd, 559 z8799 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 With these x428 shalt thou push 5055 z8762 x853 the Syrians, 758 vntill x5704 thou haue consumed 3615 z8763 them.

 22:12 And all x3605 the Prophets 5030 prophecied 5012 z8737 so, x3651 saying; 559 z8800 Goe vp 5927 z8798 to Ramoth Gilead, 7433 y1568 and prosper: 6743 z8685 for the LORD 3068 shall deliuer 5414 z8804 [it] into the kings 4428 hand. 3027

 22:13 And the messenger 4397 that x834 was gone 1980 z8804 to call 7121 z8800 Micaiah, 4321 spake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 him, saying, 559 z8800 Behold x2009 now, x4994 the words 1697 of the prophets 5030 [declare] good 2896 vnto x413 the King 4428 with one 259 mouth: 6310 let thy word, 1697 I pray thee, x4994 bee x1961 like the word 1697 of one 259 of them, x4480 and speake 1696 z8765 [that which is] good. 2896

 22:14 And Micaiah 4321 sayde, 559 z8799 As the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 what x834 the LORD 3068 saith 559 z8799 vnto x413 me, that will I speake. 1696 z8762

 22:15 ¶ So he came 935 z8799 to x413 the king, 4428 and the king 4428 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Micaiah, 4321 shall wee goe y3212 z8799 x1980 against x413 Ramoth Gilead 7433 y1568 to battell, 4421 or x518 shall we forbeare? 2308 z8799 And he answered 559 z8799 x413 him, Go, 5927 z8798 and prosper: 6743 z8685 for the LORD 3068 shall deliuer 5414 z8804 [it] into the hand 3027 of the king. 4428

 22:16 And the king 4428 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, How x5704 many x4100 times 6471 shall I x589 adiure 7650 z8688 thee, that x834 thou tell 1696 z8762 x413 me nothing x3808 but x7535 that which is true, 571 in the Name 8034 of the LORD? 3068

 22:17 And hee sayd, 559 z8799 I saw 7200 z8804 x853 all x3605 Israel 3478 scattered 6327 z8737 vpon x413 the hilles, 2022 as sheepe 6629 that x834 haue not x369 a shepheard. 7462 z8802 And the LORD 3068 said, 559 z8799 These x428 haue no x3808 master, 113 let them returne 7725 z8799 euery man 376 to his house 1004 in peace. 7965

 22:18 And the King 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Iehoshaphat, 3092 Did I not x3808 tell 559 z8804 x413 thee, that he would prophecie 5012 z8691 no x3808 good 2896 concerning x5921 me, but x3588 x518 euill? 7451

 22:19 And he said, 559 z8799 Heare 8085 z8798 thou therefore x3651 the word 1697 of the LORD: 3068 I sawe 7200 z8804 x853 the LORD 3068 sitting 3427 z8802 on x5921 his Throne, 3678 and all x3605 the hoste 6635 of heauen 8064 standing 5975 z8802 by x5921 him, on his right hand 3225 x4480 and on his left. 8040 x4480

 22:20 And the LORD 3068 said, 559 z8799 Who x4310 shall perswade 6601 z8762 x853 Ahab, 256 that hee may goe vp 5927 z8799 and fall 5307 z8799 at Ramoth Gilead? 7433 y1568 And one x2088 sayd 559 z8799 on this manner, 3541 and another x2088 said 559 z8802 on that manner. 3541

 22:21 And there came forth 3318 z8799 a spirit, 7307 and stood 5975 z8799 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 I x589 will perswade 6601 z8762 him.

 22:22 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Wherewith? x4100 And hee sayd, 559 z8799 I will goe foorth, 3318 z8799 and I will be x1961 a lying 8267 spirit 7307 in the mouth 6310 of all x3605 his prophets. 5030 And he said, 559 z8799 Thou shalt perswade 6601 z8762 him, and preuaile 3201 z8799 also: x1571 Goe forth, 3318 z8798 and doe 6213 z8798 so. x3651

 22:23 Now x6258 therfore behold, x2009 the LORD 3068 hath put 5414 z8804 a lying 8267 spirit 7307 in the mouth 6310 of all x3605 these x428 thy prophets, 5030 and the LORD 3068 hath spoken 1696 z8765 euill 7451 concerning x5921 thee.

 22:24 But Zedekiah 6667 the sonne 1121 of Chenaanah 3668 went neere, 5066 z8799 and smote 5221 z8686 x853 Micaiah 4321 on x5921 the cheeke, 3895 and said, 559 z8799 Which x335 [way] y335 x2088 went 5674 z8804 the Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 from x4480 x854 me, to speake 1696 z8763 vnto x854 thee?

 22:25 And Micaiah 4321 sayde, 559 z8799 Beholde, x2009 thou shalt see 7200 z8802 in that x1931 day, 3117 when x834 thou shalt goe y935 z8799 into x935 an inner 2315 chamber, 2315 to hide y2247 z8736 thy selfe. x2247

 22:26 And the King 4428 of Israel 3478 sayde, 559 z8799 Take 3947 z8798 x853 Micaiah, 4321 and cary him backe 7725 z8685 vnto x413 Amon 526 the gouernour 8269 of the citie, 5892 and to x413 Ioash 3101 the kings 4428 sonne: 1121

 22:27 And say, 559 z8804 Thus x3541 sayth 559 z8804 the King, 4428 Put 7760 z8798 x853 this x2088 fellow in the prison, 1004 3608 and feede 398 z8685 him with bread 3899 of affliction, 3906 and with water 4325 of afflictio, 3906 vntil x5704 I come 935 z8800 in peace. 7965

 22:28 And Micaiah 4321 saide, 559 z8799 If x518 thou returne y7725 z8799 at all 7725 z8800 in peace, 7965 the LORD 3068 hath not x3808 spoken 1696 z8765 by me. And he said, 559 z8799 Hearken, 8085 z8798 O people, 5971 euery x3605 one of you.

 22:29 So the King 4428 of Israel, 3478 and Iehoshaphat 3092 the king 4428 of Iudah, 3063 went vp 5927 z8799 to Ramoth Gilead. 7433 y1568

 22:30 And the king 4428 of Israel 3478 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Iehoshaphat, 3092 I wil disguise y2664 z8692 my selfe, x2664 & enter 935 z8800 into the battell, 4421 but put x3847 thou x859 on y3847 z8798 thy robes. 899 And the King 4428 of Israel 3478 disguised y2664 z8691 himselfe, x2664 & went 935 z8799 into the battell. 4421

 22:31 But the King 4428 of Syria 758 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 his x834 thirtie 7970 and two 8147 Captaines y8269 that had rule ouer x8269 his x834 charets, 7393 saying, 559 z8800 Fight 3898 z8735 neither x3808 with x854 small 6996 nor great, 1419 saue x3588 x518 only x905 with x854 the king 4428 of Israel. 3478

 22:32 And it came to passe, x1961 when the captaines 8269 of the charets 7393 saw 7200 z8800 x853 Iehoshaphat, 3092 that they x1992 said, 559 z8804 Surely x389 it x1931 is the king 4428 of Israel. 3478 And they turned aside 5493 z8799 to fight 3898 z8736 against x5921 him: and Iehoshaphat 3092 cryed out. 2199 z8799

 22:34 And a certaine man 376 drew 4900 z8804 a bow 7198 at a venture, 8537 and smote 5221 z8686 x853 the king 4428 of Israel 3478 betweene x996 the ioynts 1694 of the harnesse: 8302 wherefore hee sayd 559 z8799 vnto the driuer of his charet, 7395 Turne 2015 z8798 thine hand, 3027 and cary me out 3318 z8685 of x4480 the hoste, 4264 for x3588 I am wounded. 2470 z8717

 22:35 And the battell 4421 increased 5927 z8799 that x1931 day: 3117 and the king 4428 was x1961 stayed vp 5975 z8716 in his charet 4818 against 5227 the Syrians, 758 and died 4191 z8799 at euen: 6153 and the blood 1818 ranne out 3332 z8799 of the wound, 4347 into x413 the mids 2436 of the charet. 7393

 22:36 And there went 5674 z8799 a proclamation 7440 throughout the hoste, 4264 about the going downe 935 z8800 of the Sunne, 8121 saying, 559 z8800 Euery man 376 to x413 his citie, 5892 and euery man 376 to x413 his owne countrey. 776

 22:42 Iehoshaphat 3092 [was] thirtie 7970 and fiue 2568 yeeres 8141 olde 1121 when hee began to reigne, 4427 z8800 and he reigned 4427 z8804 twentie 6242 and fiue 2568 yeeres 8141 in Ierusalem: 3389 and his mothers 517 name 8034 [was] Azubah 5806 the daughter 1323 of Shilhi. 7977
