1 Kings 19

1 Elijah, threatened by Jezebel, fleeth to Beer-sheba. 4 In the wilderness, being weary of his life, he is comforted by an angel. 9 At Horeb God appeareth unto him, sending him to anoint Hazael, Jehu, and Elisha. 19 Elisha, taking leave of his friends, followeth Elijah.

 19:1 ¶ And Ahab 256 told 5046 z8686 Iezebel 348 x853 all x3605 that x834 Eliiah 452 had done, 6213 z8804 and withall, x3605 how x834 hee had slaine 2026 z8804 x853 all x3605 the Prophets 5030 with the sword. 2719

 19:2 Then Iezebel 348 sent 7971 z8799 a messenger 4397 vnto x413 Eliiah, 452 saying; 559 z8800 So x3541 let the gods 430 do 6213 z8799 [to me], and more 3254 z8686 also, x3541 if x3588 I make 7760 z8799 not x853 thy life 5315 as the life 5315 of one 259 of x4480 them, by to morrow 4279 about this time. 6256

 19:3 And when he saw 7200 z8799 [that], hee arose, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 for x413 his life, 5315 and came 935 z8799 to Beersheba, 884 which x834 [belongeth] to Iudah, 3063 and left y3240 z8686 x5117 x853 his seruant 5288 there. x8033

 19:4 ¶ But he himselfe x1931 went 1980 z8804 a dayes 3117 iourney 1870 into the wildernesse, 4057 and came 935 z8799 and sate downe 3427 z8799 vnder x8478 a 259 Iuniper tree: 7574 and hee requested 7592 z8799 x853 for himselfe 5315 that hee might die, 4191 z8800 and sayd, 559 z8799 [It is] enough, 7227 now x6258 O LORD, 3068 take away 3947 z8798 my life: 5315 for x3588 I x595 [am] not x3808 better 2896 then my fathers. 1 x4480

 19:5 And as hee lay 7901 z8799 and slept 3462 z8799 vnder x8478 a 259 Iuniper tree, 7574 behold x2009 then, x2088 an Angel 4397 touched 5060 z8802 him, and sayd 559 z8799 vnto him, Arise, 6965 z8798 [and] eate. 398 z8798

 19:6 And he looked, 5027 z8686 and behold, x2009 there was a cake 5692 baken on the coales, 7529 and a cruse 6835 of water 4325 at his head: 4763 and hee did eate 398 z8799 and drinke, 8354 z8799 and laide him downe 7901 z8799 againe. 7725 z8799

 19:7 And the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 came againe 7725 z8799 the second time, 8145 and touched 5060 z8799 him, and sayd, 559 z8799 Arise, 6965 z8798 [and] eate, 398 z8798 because x3588 the iourney 1870 [is] too great 7227 for x4480 thee.

 19:8 And hee arose, 6965 z8799 and did eate 398 z8799 and drinke, 8354 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 in the strength 3581 of that x1931 meate 396 fourtie 705 dayes 3117 and fourtie 705 nights, 3915 vnto x5704 Horeb 2722 the mount 2022 of God. 430

 19:9 ¶ And he came 935 z8799 thither x8033 vnto x413 a caue, 4631 and lodged 3885 z8799 there, x8033 and behold, x2009 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 [came] to x413 him, and he said 559 z8799 vnto him, What x4100 doest thou here, x6311 Eliiah? 452

 19:10 And hee sayd, 559 z8799 I haue beene very y7065 z8763 iealous 7065 z8765 for the LORD 3068 God 430 of hostes: 6635 for x3588 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 haue forsaken 5800 z8804 thy Couenant, 1285 throwen downe 2040 z8804 x853 thine Altars, 4196 and slaine 2026 z8804 thy Prophets 5030 with the sword: 2719 and I, x589 [euen] I onely x905 am left, 3498 z8735 and they seeke 1245 z8762 x853 my life, 5315 to take it away. 3947 z8800

 19:11 And he sayd, 559 z8799 Goe forth, 3318 z8798 and stand 5975 z8804 vpon the mount 2022 before 6440 the LORD. 3068 And beholde, x2009 the LORD 3068 passed by, 5674 z8802 and a great 1419 and strong 2389 winde 7307 rent 6561 z8764 the mountaines, 2022 and brake in pieces 7665 z8764 the rockes, 5553 before 6440 the LORD; 3068 [but] the LORD 3068 [was] not x3808 in the winde: 7307 and after 310 the winde 7307 an earthquake, 7494 [but] the LORD 3068 [was] not x3808 in the earthquake. 7494

 19:12 And after 310 the earthquake, 7494 a fire, 784 [but] the LORD 3068 [was] not x3808 in the fire: 784 and after 310 the fire, 784 a still 1827 small 1851 voice. 6963

 19:13 And it was x1961 so, when Eliiah 452 heard 8085 z8800 [it], that he wrapped 3874 z8686 his face 6440 in his mantle, 155 and went out, 3318 z8799 and stood 5975 z8799 in the entring in 6607 of the caue: 4631 and behold, x2009 [there came] a voice 6963 vnto x413 him, and sayd, 559 z8799 What x4100 doest thou here, x6311 Eliiah? 452

 19:14 And he sayd, 559 z8799 I haue beene very y7065 z8763 iealous 7065 z8765 for the LORD 3068 God 430 of hostes, 6635 because x3588 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 haue forsaken 5800 z8804 thy Couenant, 1285 throwen downe 2040 z8804 x853 thine Altars, 4196 and slaine 2026 z8804 thy Prophets 5030 with the sword, 2719 and I, x589 [euen] I onely x905 am left, 3498 z8735 and they seeke 1245 z8762 x853 my life, 5315 to take it away. 3947 z8800

 19:15 And the LORD 3068 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 returne 7725 z8798 on thy way 1870 to the wildernesse 4057 of Damascus: 1834 and when thou commest, 935 z8804 anoint 4886 z8804 x853 Hazael 2371 to be King 4428 ouer x5921 Syria. 758

 19:16 And Iehu 3058 the sonne 1121 of Nimshi 5250 shalt thou anoint 4886 z8799 to bee king 4428 ouer x5921 Israel: 3478 and Elisha 477 the sonne 1121 of Shaphat 8202 of Abel Meholah, 65 x4480 shalt thou annoint 4886 z8799 to be Prophet 5030 in thy roume. x8478

 19:17 And it shall come to passe, x1961 that him that escapeth 4422 z8737 the sword 2719 x4480 of Hazael, 2371 shall Iehu 3058 slay: 4191 z8686 and him that escapeth 4422 z8737 from the sword 2719 x4480 of Iehu, 3058 shall Elisha 477 slay. 4191 z8686

 19:18 Yet I haue left 7604 z8689 [me] seuen 7651 thousand 505 in Israel, 3478 all x3605 the knees 1290 which x834 haue not x3808 bowed 3766 z8804 vnto Baal, 1168 and euery x3605 mouth 6310 which x834 hath not x3808 kissed 5401 z8804 him.

 19:19 ¶ So hee departed y3212 z8799 x1980 thence x4480 x8033 and found 4672 z8799 x853 Elisha 477 the sonne 1121 of Shaphat, 8202 who x1931 was plowing 2790 z8802 with twelue 8147 6240 yoke 6776 of oxen before 6440 him, and hee x1931 with the twelfth: 8147 6240 and Eliiah 452 passed 5674 z8799 by x413 him, and cast 7993 z8686 his mantle 155 vpon x413 him.

 19:20 And he left 5800 z8799 x853 the oxen, 1241 and ranne 7323 z8799 after 310 Eliiah, 452 and said, 559 z8799 Let mee, I pray thee, x4994 kisse 5401 z8799 my father 1 and my mother, 517 and then I wil follow 310 y3212 z8799 x1980 thee: and he said 559 z8799 vnto him, Goe x1980 backe y3212 z8798 againe; 7725 z8798 for x3588 what x4100 haue I done 6213 z8804 to thee?

 19:21 And he returned backe 7725 z8799 from x4480 x310 him, y310 and tooke 3947 z8799 x853 a yoke 6776 of oxen, 1241 & slew 2076 z8799 them, and boyled 1310 z8765 their flesh 1320 with the instruments 3627 of the oxen, 1241 and gaue 5414 z8799 vnto the people, 5971 and they did eat: 398 z8799 then he arose, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 Eliiah, 452 and ministred 8334 z8762 vnto him.
