1 Kings 21

1 Ahab being denied Naboth's vinyard is grieved. 5 Jezebel writing letters against Naboth, he is condemned of blasphemy. 15 Ahab taketh possession of the vinyard. 17 Elijah denounceth judgments against Ahab and Jezebel. 25 Wicked Ahab repenting, God deferreth the judgment.

 21:1 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 after 310 these x428 things, 1697 that Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite 3158 had x1961 a vineyard, 3754 which x834 [was] in Iezreel, 3157 hard x681 by y681 the palace 1964 of Ahab 256 king 4428 of Samaria. 8111

 21:2 And Ahab 256 spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Naboth, 5022 saying, 559 z8800 Giue 5414 z8798 me x853 thy vineyard, 3754 that I may haue x1961 it for a garden 1588 of herbes, 3419 because x3588 it x1931 [is] neere y7138 vnto 681 x7138 my house, 1004 and I will giue 5414 z8799 thee for x8478 it a better 2896 vineyard 3754 then x4480 it: [or] if x518 it seeme good y2896 to thee, 5869 x2895 I will giue 5414 z8799 thee the worth 4242 of it x2088 in money. 3701

 21:3 And Naboth 5022 said 559 z8799 to x413 Ahab, 256 The LORD 3068 x4480 forbid 2486 it mee, that I should giue 5414 z8800 x4480 x853 the inheritance 5159 of my fathers 1 vnto thee.

 21:4 And Ahab 256 came 935 z8799 into x413 his house, 1004 heauie, 5620 and displeased, 2198 because x5921 of the word 1697 which x834 Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite 3158 had spoken 1696 z8765 to x413 him: for he had saide, 559 z8799 I will not x3808 giue 5414 z8799 thee x853 the inheritance 5159 of my fathers: 1 and he laid him downe 7901 z8799 vpon x5921 his bed, 4296 and turned away 5437 z8686 x853 his face, 6440 and would eate 398 z8804 no x3808 bread. 3899

 21:5 ¶ But Iezebel 348 his wife 802 came 935 z8799 to x413 him, and said 1696 z8762 vnto x413 him, Why x4100 x2088 is thy spirit 7307 so sad, 5620 that thou eatest 398 z8802 no x369 bread? 3899

 21:6 And he said 1696 z8762 vnto x413 her, Because x3588 I spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite, 3158 and said 559 z8799 vnto him, Giue 5414 z8798 mee x853 thy vineyard 3754 for money, 3701 or x176 else if x518 it please y2655 x2654 thee, x859 I will giue 5414 z8799 thee [another] vineyard 3754 for x8478 it: And he answered, 559 z8799 I wil not x3808 giue 5414 z8799 thee x853 my vineyard. 3754

 21:7 And Iezebel 348 his wife 802 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Doest thou x859 now x6258 gouerne 6213 z8799 x5921 the kingdome 4410 of Israel? 3478 Arise, 6965 z8798 [and] eate 398 z8798 bread, 3899 and let thine heart 3820 bee merrie: 3190 z8799 I x589 will giue 5414 z8799 thee x853 the vineyard 3754 of Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite. 3158

 21:8 So shee wrote 3789 z8799 letters 5612 in Ahabs 256 name, 8034 and sealed 2856 z8799 [them] with his seale, 2368 and sent 7971 z8799 the letters 5612 vnto x413 the Elders, 2205 and to x413 the Nobles 2715 that x834 were in his citie 5892 dwelling 3427 z8802 with x854 Naboth. 5022

 21:9 And she wrote 3789 z8799 in the letters, 5612 saying, 559 z8800 Proclaime 7121 z8798 a fast, 6685 and set 3427 z8685 x853 Naboth 5022 on high 7218 among the people: 5971

 21:10 And set 3427 z8685 two 8147 men, y582 x376 sonnes 1121 of Belial 1100 before x5048 him, to beare witnes y5749 z8686 against x5749 him, saying, 559 z8800 Thou diddest blaspheme 1288 z8765 God 430 and the king: 4428 and then carie him out, 3318 z8689 and stone 5619 z8798 him that he may die. 4191 z8799

 21:11 And the men y582 x376 of his citie, 5892 [euen] the Elders 2205 and the Nobles 2715 who x834 were the inhabitants 3427 z8802 in his citie, 5892 did 6213 z8799 as x834 Iezebel 348 had sent 7971 z8804 vnto x413 them, [and] as x834 it was written 3789 z8803 in the letters 5612 which x834 she had sent 7971 z8804 vnto x413 them.

 21:12 They proclaimed 7121 z8804 a fast, 6685 and set 3427 z8689 x853 Naboth 5022 on high 7218 among the people. 5971

 21:13 And there came y935 z8799 in x935 two 8147 men, y582 x376 children 1121 of Belial, 1100 and sate 3427 z8799 before x5048 him: and the men y582 x376 of Belial 1100 witnessed y5749 z8686 against x5749 him, euen against x853 Naboth, 5022 in the presence x5048 of the people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800 Naboth 5022 did blaspheme 1288 z8765 God 430 and the king. 4428 Then they caried him foorth 3318 z8686 out y2351 of x4480 x2351 the citie, 5892 and stoned 5619 z8799 him with stones, 68 that hee died. 4191 z8799

 21:14 Then they sent 7971 z8799 to x413 Iezebel, 348 saying, 559 z8800 Naboth 5022 is stoned, 5619 z8795 and is dead. 4191 z8799

 21:15 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 when Iezebel 348 heard 8085 z8800 that x3588 Naboth 5022 was stoned 5619 z8795 and was dead, 4191 z8799 that Iezebel 348 said 559 z8799 to x413 Ahab, 256 Arise, 6965 z8798 take possession 3423 z8798 of x853 the Uineyard 3754 of Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite, 3158 which x834 hee refused 3985 z8765 to giue 5414 z8800 thee for money: 3701 for x3588 Naboth 5022 is not x369 aliue, 2416 but x3588 dead. 4191 z8804

 21:16 And it came to passe x1961 when Ahab 256 heard 8085 z8800 that x3588 Naboth 5022 was dead, 4191 z8804 that Ahab 256 rose vp 6965 z8799 to goe downe 3381 z8800 to x413 the Uineyard 3754 of Naboth 5022 the Iezreelite, 3158 to take possession 3423 z8800 of it.

 21:17 ¶ And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 to x413 Eliiah 452 the Tishbite, 8664 saying, 559 z8800

 21:18 Arise, 6965 z8798 goe downe 3381 z8798 to meet y7125 z8800 x7121 Ahab 256 king 4428 of Israel, 3478 which x834 [is] in Samaria: 8111 behold, x2009 hee [is] in the Uineyard 3754 of Naboth, 5022 whither x834 x8033 he is gone downe 3381 z8804 to possesse 3423 z8800 it.

 21:19 And thou shalt speake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 him, saying, 559 z8800 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Hast thou killed, 7523 z8804 and also x1571 taken possession? 3423 z8804 And thou shalt speake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 him, saying, 559 z8800 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD; 3068 In the place 4725 where x834 dogs 3611 licked 3952 z8804 x853 the blood 1818 of Naboth, 5022 shall dogges 3611 licke 3952 z8799 x853 thy blood, 1818 euen x1571 thine. x859

 21:20 And Ahab 256 said 559 z8799 to x413 Eliiah, 452 Hast thou found 4672 z8804 me, O mine enemie? 341 z8802 And he answered, 559 z8799 I haue found 4672 z8804 [thee]: because x3282 thou hast sold 4376 z8692 thy selfe to worke 6213 z8800 euill 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD. 3068

 21:21 Behold, x2009 I will bring 935 z8688 euill 7451 vpon x413 thee, and will take away 1197 z8765 thy posteritie, 310 and will cut off 3772 z8689 from Ahab 256 him that pisseth 8366 z8688 against the wall, 7023 and him that is shut vp, 6113 z8803 and left 5800 z8803 in Israel, 3478

 21:22 And will make 5414 z8804 x853 thine house 1004 like the house 1004 of Ieroboam 3379 the sonne 1121 of Nebat, 5028 and like the house 1004 of Baasha 1201 the sonne 1121 of Ahiiah, 281 for x413 the prouocation 3708 wherewith x834 thou hast prouoked [mee] to anger, 3707 z8689 and made Israel y3478 to sinne. 2398 z8686 x853 x3478

 21:23 And of Iezebel 348 also x1571 spake 1696 z8765 the LORD, 3068 saying, 559 z8800 The dogs 3611 shall eate 398 z8799 x853 Iezebel 348 by the wall 2426 of Iezreel. 3157

 21:24 Him that dieth 4191 z8801 of Ahab 256 in the citie, 5892 the dogs 3611 shall eate: 398 z8799 and him that dieth 4191 z8801 in the field, 7704 shall the foules 5775 of the aire 8064 eat. 398 z8799

 21:25 ¶ But x7535 there was x1961 none x3808 like vnto Ahab, 256 which x834 did sell y4376 z8694 himselfe x4376 to worke 6213 z8800 wickednesse 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 whom x834 x853 Iezebel 348 his wife 802 stirred vp. 5496 z8689

 21:26 And hee did very 3966 abominably 8581 z8686 in following 310 y3212 z8800 x1980 Idoles, 1544 according to all x3605 things as x834 did 6213 z8804 the Amorites, 567 whom x834 the LORD 3068 cast out 3423 z8689 before 6440 x4480 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 21:27 And it came to passe x1961 when Ahab 256 heard 8085 z8800 x853 those x428 wordes, 1697 that hee rent 7167 z8799 his clothes, 899 and put 7760 z8799 sackecloth 8242 vpon x5921 his flesh, 1320 and fasted, 6684 z8799 and lay 7901 z8799 in sackcloth, 8242 and went 1980 z8762 softly. 328

 21:28 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 to x413 Eliiah 452 the Tishbite, 8664 saying, 559 z8800

 21:29 Seest 7200 z8804 thou how x3588 Ahab 256 humbleth y3665 z8738 himselfe x3665 before 6440 x4480 mee? because 3282 x3588 hee humbleth y3665 z8738 himselfe x3665 before 6440 x4480 mee, I will not x3808 bring 935 z8686 the euill 7451 in his dayes: 3117 [but] in his sonnes 1121 dayes 3117 will I bring 935 z8686 the euill 7451 vpon x5921 his house. 1004
