2 Samuel 12

1 Nathan's parable of the ewe lamb causeth David to be his own judge. 7 David, reproved by Nathan, confesseth his sin, and is pardoned. 15 David mourneth and prayeth for the child, while it lived. 24 Solomon is born and named Jedidiah. 26 David taketh Rabbah, and tortureth the people thereof.

 12:1 ¶ And the LORD 3068 sent 7971 z8799 x853 Nathan 5416 vnto x413 Dauid: 1732 and he came 935 z8799 vnto x413 him, and said 559 z8799 vnto him, There were x1961 two 8147 men y582 x376 in one 259 citie; 5892 the one 259 rich, 6223 and the other 259 poore. 7326 z8802

 12:2 The rich 6223 [man] had x1961 exceeding 3966 many 7235 z8687 flockes 6629 and herds. 1241

 12:3 But the poore 7326 z8802 [man] had nothing x369 x3605 saue x3588 x518 one 259 litle 6996 ewe lambe, 3535 which x834 he had x1961 bought 7069 z8804 and nourished vp: 2421 z8762 and it grew vp 1431 z8799 together 3162 with x5973 him, and with x5973 his children, 1121 it did eate 398 z8799 of his owne meate, 6595 x4480 and dranke 8354 z8799 of his owne cup, 3563 x4480 and lay 7901 z8799 in his bosome, 2436 and was x1961 vnto him as a daughter. 1323

 12:4 And there came 935 z8799 a traueller 1982 vnto the rich 6223 man, 376 and he spared 2550 z8799 to take 3947 z8800 of his owne flocke, 6629 x4480 and of his owne herd, 1241 x4480 to dresse 6213 z8800 for the wayfaring man 732 z8802 that was come 935 z8802 vnto him, but tooke 3947 z8799 the poore 7326 z8802 mans 376 x853 lambe, 3535 and dressed 6213 z8799 it for the man 376 that was come 935 z8802 to x413 him.

 12:5 And Dauids 1732 anger 639 was greatly 3966 kindled 2734 z8799 against the man, 376 and he said 559 z8799 to x413 Nathan, 5416 As the LORD 3068 liueth, 2416 the man 376 that hath done 6213 z8802 this x2063 thing, shall surely y1121 die. 4194 x3588 x1121

 12:6 And he shall restore 7999 z8762 the Lambe 3535 fourefold, 706 because 6118 x834 he did 6213 z8804 x853 this x2088 thing, 1697 and because 834 x5921 he had no x3808 pittie. 2550 z8804

 12:7 ¶ And Nathan 5416 said 559 z8799 to x413 Dauid, 1732 Thou x859 art the man: 376 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 I x595 anointed 4886 z8804 thee king 4428 ouer x5921 Israel, 3478 and I x595 deliuered 5337 z8689 thee out of the hand 3027 x4480 of Saul, 7586

 12:8 And I gaue 5414 z8799 thee x853 thy Masters 113 house, 1004 and thy Masters 113 wiues 802 into thy bosome, 2436 and gaue 5414 z8799 thee x853 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 and of Iudah, 3063 and if x518 that had bene too litle, 4592 I would moreouer haue giuen 3254 z8686 vnto thee such 2007 and such x2007 things. y2007

 12:9 Wherefore x4069 hast thou despised 959 z8804 x853 the commandement 1697 of the LORD, 3068 to doe 6213 z8800 euill 7451 in his sight? 5869 thou hast killed 5221 z8689 x853 Uriah 223 the Hittite 2850 with the sword, 2719 and hast taken 3947 z8804 his wife 802 to be thy wife, 802 and hast slaine 2026 z8804 him with the sword 2719 of the children 1121 of Ammon. 5983

 12:10 Now x6258 therefore the sword 2719 shall neuer 5704 5769 x3808 depart 5493 z8799 from thine house, 1004 x4480 because 6118 x3588 thou hast despised 959 z8804 me, and hast taken 3947 z8799 x853 the wife 802 of Uriah 223 the Hittite, 2850 to be x1961 thy wife. 802

 12:11 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Behold, x2009 I will raise vp 6965 z8688 euill 7451 against x5921 thee out of thine owne house, 1004 x4480 and I will take 3947 z8804 x853 thy wiues 802 before thine eyes, 5869 and giue 5414 z8804 [them] vnto thy neighbour, 7453 and he shall lie 7901 z8804 with x5973 thy wiues 802 in the sight 5869 of this x2063 Sunne. 8121

 12:12 For x3588 thou x859 diddest 6213 z8804 [it] secretly: 5643 but I x589 will do 6213 z8799 x853 this x2088 thing 1697 before x5048 all x3605 Israel, 3478 and before x5048 the Sunne. 8121

 12:13 And Dauid 1732 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 Nathan, 5416 I haue sinned 2398 z8804 against the LORD. 3068 And Nathan 5416 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 Dauid, 1732 The LORD 3068 also x1571 hath put away 5674 z8689 thy sinne, 2403 thou shalt not x3808 die. 4191 z8799

 12:14 Howbeit, 657 because x3588 by this x2088 deede 1697 thou hast giuen y5006 z0 great occasion 5006 z8763 x853 to the enemies 341 z8802 of the LORD 3068 to blaspheme, 5006 z8765 the childe 1121 also x1571 that is borne 3209 vnto thee, shall surely y4191 z8800 die. 4191 z8799

 12:15 ¶ And Nathan 5416 departed y3212 z8799 x1980 vnto x413 his house: 1004 and the LORD 3068 strake 5062 z8799 x853 the childe 3206 that x834 Uriahs 223 wife 802 bare 3205 z8804 vnto Dauid, 1732 and it was very sicke. 605 z8735

 12:16 Dauid 1732 therfore besought 1245 z8762 x853 God 430 for x1157 the childe, 5288 and Dauid 1732 fasted, 6684 6685 z8799 and went x935 in, y935 z8804 and lay 7901 z8804 all x3605 night 3885 z8804 vpon the earth. 776

 12:17 And the Elders 2205 of his house 1004 arose, 6965 z8799 [and went] to x5921 him, to raise him vp 6965 z8687 from x4480 the earth: 776 but he would 14 z8804 not, x3808 neither x3808 did he eate 1262 z8804 bread 3899 with x854 them.

 12:18 And it came to passe x1961 on the seuenth 7637 day, 3117 that the childe 3206 died: 4191 z8799 and the seruants 5650 of Dauid 1732 feared 3372 z8799 to tell 5046 z8687 him that x3588 the child 3206 was dead: 4191 z8804 for x3588 they saide, 559 z8804 Behold, x2009 while the childe 3206 was x1961 yet aliue, 2416 we spake 1696 z8765 vnto x413 him, and he would not x3808 hearken 8085 z8804 vnto our voice: 6963 how x349 will he then y6213 z0 vexe 7451 x6213 himselfe, y6213 z8804 if we tell 559 z8799 x413 him that the childe 3206 is dead? 4191 z8804

 12:19 But when Dauid 1732 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 his seruants 5650 whispered, 3907 z8693 Dauid 1732 perceiued 995 z8799 that x3588 the childe 3206 was dead: 4191 z8804 therefore Dauid 1732 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 his seruants, 5650 Is the child 3206 dead? 4191 z8804 and they said, 559 z8799 He is dead. 4191 z8804

 12:20 Then Dauid 1732 arose 6965 z8799 from the earth 776 x4480 and washed, 7364 z8799 and anointed 5480 z8686 [himselfe], and changed 2498 z8762 his apparell, 8071 and came 935 z8799 into the house 1004 of the LORD, 3068 and worshipped: 7812 z8691 then hee came 935 z8799 to x413 his owne house, 1004 and when he required, 7592 z8799 they set 7760 z8799 bread 3899 before him, and he did eate. 398 z8799

 12:21 Then said 559 z8799 his seruants 5650 vnto x413 him, What x4100 thing 1697 [is] this x2088 that x834 thou hast done? 6213 z8804 thou didst fast 6684 z8804 and weepe 1058 z8799 for the childe, 3206 while x5668 it was aliue, 2416 but when x834 the childe 3206 was dead, 4191 z8804 thou didst rise 6965 z8804 and eat 398 z8799 bread. 3899

 12:22 And he said, 559 z8799 While the child 3206 was yet x5750 aliue, 2416 I fasted 6684 z8804 and wept: 1058 z8799 for x3588 I said, 559 z8804 Who x4310 can tell, 3045 z8802 [whether] GOD 3068 will be gracious 2603 z8804 z8675 z8762 to me, that the child 3206 may liue? 2416

 12:23 But now x6258 hee is dead, 4191 z8804 Wherefore x4100 x2088 should I x589 fast? 6684 z8802 Can 3201 z8799 I bring him backe x7725 againe? y7725 z8687 x5750 I x589 shall goe 1980 z8802 to x413 him, but he x1931 shall not x3808 returne 7725 z8799 to x413 me.

 12:24 ¶ And Dauid 1732 comforted 5162 z8762 x853 Bathsheba 1339 his wife, 802 and went x935 in y935 z8799 vnto x413 her, and lay 7901 z8799 with x5973 her: and she bare 3205 z8799 a sonne, 1121 and he called 7121 z8799 x853 his name 8034 Solomon, 8010 and the LORD 3068 loued 157 z8804 him.

 12:25 And hee sent 7971 z8799 by the hand 3027 of Nathan 5416 the Prophet, 5030 and hee called 7121 z8799 x853 his name 8034 Iedidiah, 3041 because x5668 of the LORD. 3068

 12:26 ¶ And Ioab 3097 fought 3898 z8735 against Rabbah 7237 of the children 1121 of Ammon, 5983 and tooke 3920 z8799 x853 the royall 4410 citie. 5892

 12:27 And Ioab 3097 sent 7971 z8799 messengers 4397 to x413 Dauid, 1732 and said, 559 z8799 I haue fought 3898 z8738 against Rabbah, 7237 and x1571 haue taken 3920 z8804 x853 the citie 5892 of waters. 4325

 12:28 Now x6258 therefore, gather 622 z0 x853 the rest 3499 of the people 5971 together, y622 z8798 and encampe 2583 z8798 against x5921 the citie, 5892 and take 3920 z8798 it: lest x6435 I x589 take 3920 z8799 x853 the citie, 5892 and it be called 7121 z8738 after x5921 my name. 8034

 12:29 And Dauid 1732 gathered 622 z0 x853 all x3605 the people 5971 together, y622 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 to Rabbah, 7237 and fought 3898 z8735 against it, and tooke 3920 z8799 it.

 12:30 And he tooke 3947 z8799 x853 their kings 4428 crowne 5850 from off x4480 x5921 his head 7218 (the weight 4948 whereof [was] a talent 3603 of gold, 2091 with the precious 3368 stones) 68 and it was x1961 [set] on x5921 Dauids 1732 head, 7218 and he brought forth 3318 z8689 the spoile 7998 of the citie 5892 in great 3966 abundance. 7235 z8687

 12:31 And he brought foorth 3318 z8689 the people 5971 that x834 [were] therein, and put 7760 z8799 [them] vnder sawes, 4050 and vnder harrowes 2757 of yron, 1270 and vnder axes 4037 of yron, 1270 and made them passe y5674 z8689 through x5674 x853 the bricke-kilne: 4404 And thus x3651 did 6213 z8799 he vnto all x3605 the cities 5892 of the children 1121 of Ammon. 5983 So Dauid 1732 and all x3605 the people 5971 returned 7725 z8799 vnto Ierusalem. 3389
