Ioshua 6

1 Jericho is shut up. 2 God instructeth Joshua how to besiege it. 11 The city is compassed. 17 It must be cursed. 20 The walls fall down. 22 Rahab is saved. 26 The builder of Jericho is cursed.

 6:1 ¶ Now Iericho 3405 was straitly y5462 z8802 shut vp, 5462 z8794 because 6440 x4480 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 none x369 went out, 3318 z8802 & none x369 came in. 935 z8802

 6:2 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Ioshua, 3091 See, 7200 z8798 I haue giuen 5414 z8804 into thine hand 3027 x853 Iericho, 3405 and the King 4428 thereof, [and] the mighty x1368 men y1368 of valour. 2428

 6:3 And ye shall compasse 5437 z8804 x853 the city, 5892 all x3605 [yee] men y582 x376 of warre, 4421 [and] goe round about 5362 z8687 x853 the city 5892 once: 6471 259 thus x3541 shalt thou doe 6213 z8799 sixe 8337 dayes. 3117

 6:4 And seuen 7651 Priests 3548 shall beare 5375 z8799 before 6440 the Arke 727 seuen 7651 trumpets 7782 of rams hornes: 3104 and the seuenth 7637 day 3117 yee shall compasse 5437 z8799 x853 the city 5892 seuen 7651 times, 6471 and the Priests 3548 shall blow 8628 z8799 with the trumpets. 7782

 6:5 And it shall come to passe x1961 that when they make a long y4900 z8800 [blast] x4900 with the rammes-horne, 3104 7161 [and] when ye heare 8085 z8800 x853 the sound 6963 of the trumpet, 7782 all x3605 the people 5971 shall shout 7321 z8686 with a great 1419 shout: 8643 and the wall 2346 of the citie 5892 shall fall downe 5307 z8804 flat, 8478 and the people 5971 shall ascend vp 5927 z8804 euery man 376 straight before x5048 him.

 6:6 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 the sonne 1121 of Nun 5126 called 7121 z8799 x413 the Priests, 3548 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, Take vp 5375 z8798 x853 the Arke 727 of the Couenant, 1285 and let x5375 seuen 7651 Priests 3548 beare 5375 z8799 seuen 7651 trumpets 7782 of rammes-hornes, 3104 before 6440 the Arke 727 of the LORD. 3068

 6:7 And he said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the people, 5971 Passe on, 5674 z8798 and compasse 5437 z8798 x853 the city, 5892 and let him that is armed 2502 z8803 passe on 5674 z8799 before 6440 the Arke 727 of the LORD. 3068

 6:8 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 when Ioshua 3091 had spoken 559 z8800 vnto x413 the people, 5971 that the seuen 7651 Priestes 3548 bearing 5375 z8802 the seuen 7651 trumpets 7782 of rammes hornes, 3104 passed on 5674 z8804 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and blew 8628 z8804 with the trumpets: 7782 and the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 of the LORD 3068 followed 1980 z8802 x310 them. y310

 6:9 ¶ And the armed y2502 z8803 men x2502 went 1980 z8802 before 6440 the Priests 3548 that blew 8628 z8802 z8675 z8804 with the trumpets: 7782 and the rereward 622 z8764 came 1980 z8802 after 310 the Arke, 727 [the Priests] going on, 1980 z8800 and blowing 8628 z8800 with the trumpets. 7782

 6:10 And Ioshua 3091 had commanded 6680 z8765 the people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800 Ye shall not x3808 shout, 7321 z8686 nor x3808 make any noise 8085 z8686 with x854 your voice, 6963 neither x3808 shall any word 1697 proceed y3318 z8799 out x3318 of your mouth, 6310 x4480 vntill x5704 the day 3117 I bid 559 z8800 you shoute, 7321 z8685 then shall ye shoute. 7321 z8689

 6:11 So the Arke 727 of the LORD 3068 compassed 5437 z8686 x853 the citie, 5892 going about 5362 z8687 [it] once: 6471 259 and they came 935 z8799 into the campe, 4264 and lodged 3885 z8799 in the campe. 4264

 6:12 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 rose earely 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and the Priests 3548 tooke vp 5375 z8799 x853 the Arke 727 of the LORD. 3068

 6:13 And seuen 7651 Priests 3548 bearing 5375 z8802 seuen 7651 trumpets 7782 of rammes hornes 3104 before 6440 the Arke 727 of the LORD, 3068 went on y1980 z8802 continually, 1980 z8800 and blew 8628 z8804 with the trumpets: 7782 and the armed men 2502 z8803 went 1980 z8802 before 6440 them, but the rereward 622 z8764 came 1980 z8802 after 310 the Arke 727 of the LORD, 3068 [the Priests] going on 1980 z8800 and blowing 8628 z8800 with the trumpets. 7782

 6:14 And the second 8145 day 3117 they compassed 5437 z8799 x853 the citie 5892 once, 6471 259 and returned 7725 z8799 into the campe: 4264 so x3541 they did 6213 z8804 sixe 8337 dayes. 3117

 6:15 And it came to passe x1961 on the seuenth 7637 day, 3117 that they rose early 7925 z8686 about the dawning 5927 z8800 of the day, 7837 and compassed 5437 z8799 x853 the citie 5892 after the same x2088 maner, 4941 seuen 7651 times: 6471 only x7535 on that x2088 day 3117 they compassed 5437 z8804 x853 the citie 5892 seuen 7651 times. 6471

 6:16 And it came to passe x1961 at the seuenth 7637 time, 6471 when the Priests 3548 blewe 8628 z8804 with the trumpets, 7782 Ioshua 3091 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the people, 5971 Shout, 7321 z8685 for x3588 the LORD 3068 hath giuen 5414 z8804 you x853 the citie. 5892

 6:17 ¶ And the citie 5892 shalbe x1961 accursed, 2764 [euen] it, x1931 and all x3605 that x834 [are] therein, to the LORD: 3068 onely x7535 Rahab 7343 the harlot 2181 z8802 shal liue, 2421 z8799 she, x1931 and all x3605 that x834 [are] with x854 her in the house, 1004 because x3588 she hid 2244 z8689 x853 the messengers 4397 that x834 we sent. 7971 z8804

 6:18 And you, x859 in any wise y7535 x7357 keepe 8104 z8798 your selues from x4480 the accursed thing, 2764 lest x6435 yee make your selues accursed, 2763 z8686 when yee take 3947 z8804 of x4480 the accursed thing, 2764 and make 7760 z8804 x853 the campe 4264 of Israel 3478 a curse, 2764 and trouble 5916 z8804 it.

 6:19 But all x3605 the siluer, 3701 and gold, 2091 and vessels 3627 of brasse 5178 and yron, 1270 are consecrated 6944 vnto the LORD: 3068 they shall come 935 z8799 into the treasurie 214 of the LORD. 3068

 6:20 So the people 5971 shouted 7321 z8686 when the Priests blew 8628 z8799 with the trumpets: 7782 and it came to passe x1961 when the people 5971 heard 8085 z8800 x853 the sound 6963 of the trumpet, 7782 and the people 5971 shouted 7321 z8686 with a great 1419 shout, 8643 that the wall 2346 fell downe x5307 flat, y5307 z8799 x8478 so that the people 5971 went vp 5927 z8799 into the citie, 5892 euery man 376 straight before x5048 him, and they tooke 3920 z8799 x853 the citie. 5892

 6:21 And they vtterly destroyed 2763 z8686 x853 all x3605 that x834 was in the city, 5892 both man 376 x4480 and woman, 802 yong 5288 x4480 and old, 2205 and oxe, 7794 and sheepe, 7716 and asse, 2543 with the edge 6310 of the sword. 2719

 6:22 But Ioshua 3091 had said 559 z8804 vnto the two 8147 men y582 x376 that had spied out 7270 z8764 x853 the countrey; 776 Goe y935 z8798 into x935 the harlots 2181 z8802 x802 house, 1004 and bring out 3318 z8685 thence x4480 x8033 x853 the woman 802 and all x3605 that x834 she hath, as x834 ye sware 7650 z8738 vnto her.

 6:23 And the yong men 5288 that were spies, 7270 z8764 went in, 935 z8799 and brought out 3318 z8686 x853 Rahab, 7343 and her father, 1 and her mother, 517 and her brethren, 251 and all x3605 that x834 she had: and they brought out 3318 z8689 all x3605 her kinred, 4940 and left y3240 z8686 x5117 them without 2351 x4480 the campe 4264 of Israel. 3478

 6:24 And they burnt 8313 z8804 the city 5892 with fire, 784 and all x3605 that x834 was therein: onely x7535 the siluer 3701 & the gold, 2091 and the vessels 3627 of brasse 5178 and of yron, 1270 they put 5414 z8804 into the Treasury 214 of the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

 6:25 And Ioshua 3091 saued 2421 z0 Rahab 7343 the harlot 2181 z8802 aliue, y2421 z8689 and her fathers 1 houshold, 1004 and all x3605 that x834 she had: and she dwelleth 3427 z8799 in 7130 Israel 3478 euen vnto x5704 this x2088 day, 3117 because x3588 she hid 2244 z8689 x853 the messengers 4397 which x834 Ioshua 3091 sent 7971 z8804 to spy out 7270 z8763 x853 Iericho. 3405

 6:26 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 adiured 7650 z8686 [them] at that x1931 time, 6256 saying, 559 z8800 Cursed 779 z8803 be the man 376 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 that x834 riseth vp 6965 z8799 and buildeth 1129 z8804 x853 this x2063 city 5892 x853 Iericho: 3405 he shall lay the foundation 3245 z8762 therof in his first borne, 1060 and in his yongest 6810 [sonne] shall hee set vp 5324 z8686 the gates 1817 of it.

 6:27 So the LORD 3068 was x1961 with x854 Ioshua, 3091 and his fame 8089 was x1961 noised throughout all x3605 the countrey. 776
