Ioshua 3

1 Joshua cometh to Jordan. 2 The officers instruct the people for the passage. 7 The LORD encourageth Joshua. 9 Joshua encourageth the people. 14 The waters of Jordan are divided.

 3:1 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 rose early 7925 z8686 in the morning, 1242 and they remooued 5265 z8799 from Shittim, 7851 x4480 and came 935 z8799 to x5704 Iordan, 3383 hee x1931 and all x3605 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and lodged 3885 z8799 there x8033 before x2962 they passed ouer. 5674 z8799

 3:3 And they commanded 6680 z8762 x853 the people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800 When ye see 7200 z8800 x853 the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 of the LORD 3068 your God, 430 and the Priests 3548 the Leuites 3881 bearing 5375 z8802 it, then yee x859 shall remooue 5265 z8799 from your place, 4725 x4480 and goe 1980 z8804 after 310 it.

 3:4 Yet x389 there shalbe x1961 a space 7350 betweene x996 you and it, about two thousand 505 cubites 520 by measure: 4060 come not neere 7126 z8799 x408 vnto x413 it, that x4616 x834 ye may know 3045 z8799 x853 the way 1870 by which x834 ye must goe: y3212 z8799 x1980 for x3588 yee haue not x3808 passed 5674 z8804 [this] way 1870 heretofore. 8543 8032 x4480

 3:6 And Ioshua 3091 spake 559 z8799 vnto x413 the Priests, 3548 saying, 559 z8800 Take vp 5375 z8798 x853 the Arke 727 of the Couenant, 1285 and passe ouer 5674 z8798 before 6440 the people. 5971 And they tooke vp 5375 z8799 x853 the Arke 727 of the Couenant, 1285 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 before 6440 the people. 5971

 3:7 ¶ And the LORD 3068 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 Ioshua, 3091 This x2088 day 3117 wil I begin 2490 z8686 to magnifie 1431 z8763 thee in the sight 5869 of all x3605 Israel, 3478 that x834 they may know 3045 z8799 that x3588 as x834 I was x1961 with x5973 Moses, 4872 [so] I will be x1961 with x5973 thee.

 3:8 And thou x859 shalt commaund 6680 z8762 x853 the Priests 3548 that beare 5375 z8802 the Arke 727 of the Couenant, 1285 saying; 559 z8800 When ye are come 935 z8800 to x5704 the brinke 7097 of the water 4325 of Iordan, 3383 yee shall stand still 5975 z8799 in Iordan. 3383

 3:9 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 Come x5066 hither, y5066 z8798 x2008 and heare 8085 z8798 x853 the words 1697 of the LORD 3068 your God. 430

 3:10 And Ioshua 3091 said, 559 z8799 Hereby x2063 ye shall know 3045 z8799 that x3588 the liuing 2416 God 410 is among 7130 you, and that he will without faile y3423 z8687 driue out 3423 z8686 from before 6440 x4480 you x853 the Canaanites, 3669 and the Hittites, 2850 and the Hiuites, 2340 and the Perizzites, 6522 and Girgashites, 1622 and the Amorites, 567 and the Iebusites. 2983

 3:11 Behold, x2009 the Arke 727 of the Couenant, 1285 euen the Lord 113 of all x3605 the earth, 776 passeth ouer 5674 z8802 before 6440 you, into Iordan. 3383

 3:12 Now x6258 therefore take 3947 z8798 yee twelue 8147 6240 men 376 out of the Tribes 7626 x4480 of Israel, 3478 out of euery y259 Tribe y7626 a man. 376 259 x7626

 3:13 And it shall come to passe, x1961 assoone as the soles 3709 of the feete 7272 of the Priestes 3548 that beare 5375 z8802 the Arke 727 of the LORD, 3068 the Lord 113 of all x3605 the earth, 776 shall rest 5117 z8800 in the waters 4325 of Iordan, 3383 [that] the waters 4325 of Iordan 3383 shall be cut off, 3772 z8735 [from] the waters 4325 that come downe 3381 z8802 from aboue: 4605 x4480 and they shall stand 5975 z8799 vpon an 259 heape. 5067

 3:14 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 when the people 5971 remooued 5265 z8800 from their tents, 168 x4480 to passe ouer 5674 z8800 x853 Iordan, 3383 and the Priests 3548 bearing 5375 z8802 the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 before 6440 the people; 5971

 3:15 And as they that bare 5375 z8802 the Arke 727 were come 935 z8800 vnto x5704 Iordan, 3383 and the feet 7272 of the Priestes 3548 that bare 5375 z8802 the Arke, 727 were dipped 2881 z8738 in the brimme 7097 of the water, 4325 (for Iordan 3383 ouerfloweth 4390 z8804 x5921 all x3605 his banks 1415 at x3605 the time 3117 of haruest) 7105

 3:16 That the waters 4325 which came downe 3381 z8802 from aboue, 4605 x4480 stood 5975 z8799 [and] rose vp 6965 z8804 vpon an 259 heape 5067 very 3966 farre, 7368 z8687 from the city 5892 Adam, 121 x4480 that x834 [is] beside 6654 x4480 Zaretan: 6891 and those that came downe 3381 z8802 toward x5921 the sea 3220 of the plaine, 6160 [euen] the salt 4417 sea, 3220 failed, 8552 z8804 [and] were cut off: 3772 z8738 and the people 5971 passed ouer 5674 z8804 right against x5048 Iericho. 3405

 3:17 And the Priestes 3548 that bare 5375 z8802 the Arke 727 of the Couenant 1285 of the LORD, 3068 stood 5975 z8799 firme 3559 z8687 on drie ground, 2724 in the midst 8432 of Iordan, 3383 and all x3605 the Israelites 3478 passed ouer 5674 z8802 on drie ground, 2724 vntill x5704 x834 all x3605 the people 1471 were passed 5674 z0 cleane 8552 z8804 ouer 5674 z8800 x853 Iordan. 3383
