Ioshua 11

1 Divers kings are overcome at the waters of Merom. 10 Hazor is taken and burnt. 16 All the country is taken by Joshua. 21 The Anakims cut off.

 11:1 ¶ And it came to passe, x1961 when Iabin 2985 king 4428 of Hazor 2674 had heard 8085 z8800 [those things], that hee sent 7971 z8799 to x413 Iobab 3103 king 4428 of Madon, 4068 and to x413 the king 4428 of Shimron, 8110 & to x413 the king 4428 of Achshaph, 407

 11:2 And to x413 the kings 4428 that x834 [were] on the North 6828 x4480 of the mountaines, 2022 and of the plaines 6160 South 5045 of Cinneroth, 3672 and in the valley, 8219 and in the borders 5299 of Dor, 1756 on the West; 3220 x4480

 11:3 [And to] the Canaanite 3669 on the East 4217 x4480 and on the West, 3220 x4480 and to the Amorite, 567 and the Hittite, 2850 and the Perizzite, 6522 and the Iebusite 2983 in the mountaines, 2022 and to the Hiuite 2340 vnder x8478 Hermon 2768 in the land 776 of Mizpeh. 4709

 11:4 And they went out, 3318 z8799 they x1992 and all x3605 their hostes 4264 with x5973 them, much 7227 people, 5971 euen as the sand 2344 that x834 [is] vpon x5921 the Seashore 3220 8193 in multitude, 7230 with horses 5483 and charets 7393 very 3966 many. 7227

 11:5 And when all x3605 these x428 Kings 4428 were met together, 3259 z8735 they came 935 z8799 and pitched 2583 z8799 together 3162 at x413 the waters 4325 of Merom, 4792 to fight 3898 z8736 against x5973 Israel. 3478

 11:6 ¶ And the LORD 3068 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 Ioshua, 3091 Be not x408 afraid 3372 z8799 because y6440 of x4480 x6440 them: for x3588 to morrow 4279 about this x2063 time 6256 will I x595 deliuer them vp 5414 z8802 x853 al x3605 slaine 2491 before 6440 Israel: 3478 thou shalt hough 6131 z8762 x853 their horses, 5483 and burne 8313 z8799 their charets 4818 with fire. 784

 11:7 So Ioshua 3091 came, 935 z8799 and all x3605 the people 5971 of warre 4421 with x5973 him, against x5921 them by x5921 the waters 4325 of Merom 4792 suddenly, 6597 and they fell x5307 vpon y5307 z8799 them.

 11:9 And Ioshua 3091 did 6213 z8799 vnto them as x834 the LORD 3068 bade 559 z8804 him: hee houghed 6131 z8765 x853 their horses, 5483 and burnt 8313 z8804 their charets 4818 with fire. 784

 11:10 ¶ And Ioshua 3091 at that x1931 time 6256 turned backe, 7725 z8799 and tooke 3920 z8799 x853 Hazor, 2674 and smote 5221 z8689 the king 4428 thereof with the sword: 2719 for x3588 Hazor 2674 beforetime 6440 was the head 7218 of all x3605 those x428 kingdomes. 4467

 11:11 And they smote 5221 z8686 x853 all x3605 the soules 5315 that x834 were therein with the edge 6310 of the sword, 2719 vtterly destroying 2763 z8687 [them]: there was not x3808 any x3605 left 3498 z8738 to breathe; 5397 and he burnt 8313 z8804 Hazor 2674 with fire. 784

 11:12 And all x3605 the cities 5892 of those x428 kings, 4428 and all x3605 the kings 4428 of them, did Ioshua 3091 take, 3920 z8804 and smote 5221 z8686 them with the edge 6310 of the sword, 2719 [and] he vtterly destroied 2763 z8689 them, as x834 Moses 4872 the seruant 5650 of the LORD 3068 commanded. 6680 z8765

 11:13 But x7535 as for the cities 5892 that stood y5975 z8802 still x5975 in x5921 their strength, 8510 Israel 3478 burned 8313 z8804 none x3808 of them, saue 2108 x853 Hazor 2674 onely; x905 [that] did Ioshua 3091 burne. 8313 z8804

 11:14 And all x3605 the spoile 7998 of these x428 cities, 5892 and the cattell, 929 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 tooke for a pray 962 z8804 vnto themselues: but x7535 x853 euery x3605 man 120 they smote 5221 z8689 with the edge 6310 of the sword, 2719 vntill x5704 they had destroyed 8045 z8687 them, neither x3808 left 7604 z8689 they any x3605 to breathe. 5397

 11:15 ¶ As x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses 4872 his seruant, 5650 so x3651 did Moses 4872 command 6680 z8765 x853 Ioshua, 3091 and so x3651 did 6213 z8804 Ioshua: 3091 hee left y5493 z0 nothing y1697 vndone 5493 z8689 x3808 x1697 of all x4480 x3605 that x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses. 4872

 11:16 So Ioshua 3091 tooke 3947 z8799 x853 all x3605 that x2063 land, 776 the hilles, 2022 and all x3605 the South countrey, 5045 and all x3605 the land 776 of Goshen, 1657 and the valley, 8219 and the plaine, 6160 and the mountaine 2022 of Israel, 3478 and the valley 8219 of the same:

 11:17 [Euen] from x4480 the mount 2022 Halak, 2510 that goeth vp 5927 z8802 to Seir, 8165 vnto x5704 Baal-Gad, 1171 in the valley 1237 of Lebanon, 3844 vnder x8478 mount 2022 Hermon: 2768 and all x3605 their kings 4428 he tooke, 3920 z8804 and smote 5221 z8686 them, and slew 4191 z8686 them.

 11:18 Ioshua 3091 made 6213 z8804 warre 4421 a long 7227 time, 3117 with x854 all x3605 those x428 kings. 4428

 11:19 There was x1961 not x3808 a citie 5892 that x834 made peace 7999 z8689 with x413 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 saue x1115 the Hiuites 2340 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of Gibeon; 1391 x853 all x3605 [other] they tooke 3947 z8804 in battell. 4421

 11:20 For x3588 it was x1961 of x4480 x853 the LORD 3068 to harden 2388 z8763 x853 their hearts, 3820 that they should come against 7125 z8800 x853 Israel 3478 in battell, 4421 that x4616 he might destroy x2763 them vtterly, y2763 z8687 & that they might haue x1961 no x1115 fauour: 8467 but x3588 that x4616 hee might destroy 8045 z8687 them, as x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses. 4872

 11:21 ¶ And at that x1931 time 6256 came 935 z8799 Ioshua 3091 and cut off 3772 z8686 x853 the Anakims 6062 from x4480 the mountaines, 2022 from x4480 Hebron, 2275 from x4480 Debir, 1688 from x4480 Anab, 6024 and from all x4480 x3605 the mountaines 2022 of Iudah, 3063 and from all x4480 x3605 the mountaines 2022 of Israel: 3478 Ioshua 3091 destroyed x2763 [them] vtterly y2763 z8689 with x5973 their cities. 5892

 11:22 There was none x3808 of the Anakims 6062 left 3498 z8738 in the land 776 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 onely x7535 in Gaza, 5804 in Gath, 1661 and in Ashdod, 795 there remained. 7604 z8738

 11:23 So Ioshua 3091 tooke 3947 z8799 x853 the whole x3605 land 776 according to all x3605 that x834 the LORD 3068 saide 1696 z8765 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 and Ioshua 3091 gaue 5414 z8799 it for an inheritance 5159 vnto Israel, 3478 according to their diuisions 4256 by their tribes: 7626 and the land 776 rested 8252 z8804 from warre. 4421 x4480
