1, 12 Destruction is threatened for their impiety, 5 and idolatry.

8:3 Israel 3478 hath cast off 2186 z8804 the thing that is good: 2896 the enemie 341 z8802 shall pursue 7291 z8799 him.

8:4 They x1992 haue set vp Kings, 4427 z8689 but not x3808 by x4480 me: they haue made Princes, y7786 z8689 x8323 and I knew 3045 z8804 [it] not: x3808 of their siluer 3701 and their golde 2091 haue they made 6213 z8804 them idoles, 6091 that x4616 they may be cut off. 3772 z8735

8:5 ¶ Thy calfe, 5695 O Samaria, 8111 hath cast y2186 z8804 thee off: x2186 mine anger 639 is kindled 2734 z8804 against them: how long x5704 x4970 will it bee ere 3808 they attaine 3201 z8799 to innocencie? 5356

8:6 For x3588 from Israel 3478 x4480 [was] it x1931 also, the workeman 2796 made 6213 z8804 it, x1931 therefore it is not x3808 God: 430 but x3588 the calfe 5695 of Samaria 8111 shall be x1961 broken in pieces. 7616

8:7 For x3588 they haue sowen 2232 z8799 the winde, 7307 and they shall reape 7114 z8799 the whirlewinde: 5492 it hath no x369 stalke: 7054 the budde 6780 shall yeeld 6213 z8799 no x1097 meale: 7058 if y194 so be x194 it yeeld, 6213 z8799 the strangers 2114 z8801 shall swallow it vp. 1104 z8799

8:8 Israel 3478 is swallowed vp, 1104 z8738 now x6258 shal they be x1961 among the Gentiles, 1471 as a vessell 3627 wherein [is] no x369 pleasure. 2656

8:9 For x3588 they x1992 are gone vp 5927 z8804 to Assyria, 804 a wilde Asse 6501 alone 909 z8802 by himselfe; Ephraim 669 hath hired 8566 z8689 louers. 158

8:10 Yea, x1571 though x3588 they haue hired 8566 z8799 among the nations, 1471 now x6258 will I gather 6908 z8762 them, and they shall sorrow 2490 z8686 a little 4592 for the burden 4853 x4480 of the King 4428 of princes. 8269

8:11 Because x3588 Ephraim 669 hath made many 7235 z8689 altars 4196 to sinne, 2398 z8800 altars 4196 shall be x1961 vnto him to sinne. 2398 z8800

8:12 I haue written 3789 z8799 to him the great things 7230 z8675 y7239 of my Law, 8451 [but] they were counted 2803 z8738 as x3644 a strange thing. 2114 z8801

8:13 They sacrifice 2076 z8799 flesh 1320 for the sacrifices 2077 of mine offerings, 1890 and eate 398 z8799 [it; but] the LORD 3068 accepteth 7521 z8804 them not: x3808 now x6258 will he remember 2142 z8799 their iniquitie, 5771 and visite 6485 z8799 their sinnes: 2403 they x1992 shal returne 7725 z8799 to Egypt. 4714

8:14 For Israel 3478 hath forgotten 7911 z8799 x853 his maker, 6213 z8802 and buildeth 1129 z8799 temples; 1964 and Iudah 3063 hath multiplied 7235 z8689 fenced 1219 z8803 cities: 5892 but I will send 7971 z8765 a fire 784 vpon his cities, 5892 and it shall deuoure 398 z8804 the palaces 759 thereof.
