1 God's judgments against the priests, the people, and the princes of Israel, for their manifold sins, 15 until they repent.

5:1 ¶ Heare 8085 z8798 yee this, x2063 O priests, 3548 and hearken, 7181 z8685 ye house 1004 of Israel, 3478 and giue yee eare, 238 z8685 O house 1004 of the king: 4428 for x3588 iudgement 4941 [is] toward you, because x3588 yee haue beene x1961 a snare 6341 on Mizpah, 4709 and a net 7568 spread 6566 z8803 vpon x5921 Tabor. 8396

5:2 And the reuolters 7846 are profound 6009 z8689 to make slaughter, 7819 z8800 though I x589 haue bene a rebuker 4148 of them all. x3605

5:3 I x589 know 3045 z8804 Ephraim, 669 and Israel 3478 is not x3808 hid 3582 z8738 from x4480 me: for x3588 now, x6258 O Ephraim, 669 thou committest whordome, 2181 z8689 [and] Israel 3478 is defiled. 2930 z8738

5:4 They will not x3808 frame 5414 z8799 their doings 4611 to turne 7725 z8800 vnto x413 their God: 430 for x3588 the spirit 7307 of whoredomes 2183 [is] in the midst 7130 of them, and they haue not x3808 knowen 3045 z8804 the LORD. 3068

5:5 And the pride 1347 of Israel 3478 doth testifie 6030 z8804 to his face: 6440 therefore shall Israel 3478 and Ephraim 669 fall 3782 z8735 in their iniquity: 5771 Iudah 3063 also x1571 shall fall 3782 z8804 with x5973 them.

5:6 They shall goe y3212 z8799 x1980 with their flocks, 6629 and with their heards 1241 to seeke 1245 z8763 x853 the LORD: 3068 but they shall not x3808 finde 4672 z8799 [him], he hath withdrawen 2502 z8804 himselfe from x4480 them.

5:7 They haue dealt treacherously 898 z8804 against the LORD: 3068 for x3588 they haue begotten 3205 z8804 strange 2114 z8801 children, 1121 now x6258 shall a moneth 2320 deuoure 398 z8799 them with x854 their portions. 2506

5:8 Blow 8628 z8798 yee the cornet 7782 in Gibeah, 1390 [and] the trumpet 2689 in Ramah: 7414 cry alowd 7321 z8685 at Beth-auen: 1007 after 310 thee, O Beniamin. 1144

5:9 Ephraim 669 shall be x1961 desolate 8047 in the day 3117 of rebuke: 8433 among the tribes 7626 of Israel 3478 haue I made knowen 3045 z8689 that which shall surely be. 539 z8737

5:10 The Princes 8269 of Iudah 3063 were x1961 like them that remooue 5253 z8688 the bound: 1366 [therefore] I will powre out 8210 z8799 my wrath 5678 vpon x5921 them like water. 4325

5:11 Ephraim 669 is oppressed, 6231 z8803 [and] broken 7533 z8803 in iudgement: 4941 because x3588 he willingly 2974 z8689 walked 1980 z8804 after 310 the commandement. 6673

5:12 Therefore [wil] I x589 [be] vnto Ephraim 669 as a moth: 6211 and to the house 1004 of Iudah 3063 as rottennesse. 7538

5:13 When Ephraim 669 saw 7200 z8799 x853 his sicknesse, 2483 and Iudah 3063 [saw] x853 his wound: 4205 then went y3212 z8799 x1980 Ephraim 669 to x413 the Assyrian, 804 and sent 7971 z8799 to x413 king 4428 Iareb; 3377 z8677 y7378 z8799 yet could 3201 z8799 he x1931 not x3808 heale 7495 z8800 you, nor x3808 cure 1455 z8799 x4480 you of your wound. 4205

5:14 For x3588 I x595 [will bee] vnto Ephraim 669 as a Lion, 7826 and as a yong Lion 3715 to the house 1004 of Iudah: 3063 I, x589 [euen] I x589 wil teare 2963 z8799 and goe away: y3212 z8799 x1980 I will take away, 5375 z8799 and none x369 shall rescue 5337 z8688 [him].

5:15 ¶ I will goe y3212 z8799 x1980 [and] returne 7725 z8799 to x413 my place, 4725 till x5704 x834 they acknowledge their offence, 816 z8799 and seeke 1245 z8765 my face: 6440 in their affliction 6862 they will seeke me early. 7836 z8762
