Hosea 2

1 The idolatry of the people. 6 God's judgments against them. 14 His promises of reconciliation with them.

 2:1 ¶ Say 559 z8798 ye vnto your brethren, 251 Ammi, 5971 & to your sisters, 269 Ruhamah: 7355 z8795

 2:2 Plead 7378 z8798 with your mother, 517 plead: 7378 z8798 for x3588 she x1931 [is] not x3808 my wife, 802 neither x3808 [am] I x595 her husband: 376 let her therefore put away 5493 z8686 her whordomes 2183 out of her sight, 6440 x4480 and her adulteries 5005 from betweene x4480 x996 her breasts; 7699

 2:3 Lest x6435 I strip 6584 z8686 her naked, 6174 and set 3322 z8689 her as in the day 3117 that shee was borne, 3205 z8736 and make 7760 z8804 her as a wildernesse, 4057 and set 7896 z8804 her like a drie 6723 land, 776 and slay 4191 z8689 her with thirst. 6772

 2:4 And I will not x3808 haue mercy y7355 z8762 vpon x7355 her children, 1121 for x3588 they x1992 [be] the children 1121 of whordomes. 2183

 2:5 For x3588 their mother 517 hath played the harlot: 2181 z8804 shee that conceiued 2029 z8802 them hath done shamefully: y3001 z8689 x954 for x3588 shee sayd, 559 z8804 I will goe y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 my louers, 157 z8764 that giue 5414 z8802 [me] my bread 3899 and my water, 4325 my wooll 6785 and my flaxe, 6593 mine oyle, 8081 and my drinke. 8250

 2:6 ¶ Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 I will hedge y7753 z8801 vp x7753 x853 thy way 1870 with thornes, 5518 and make 1443 z8804 x853 a wall, 1447 that she shall not x3808 find 4672 z8799 her pathes. 5410

 2:7 And she shall follow y7291 z8765 after x7291 x853 her louers, 157 z8764 but she shall not x3808 ouertake 5381 z8686 them, and she shall seeke 1245 z8765 them, but shall not x3808 find 4672 z8799 [them]: then shall she say, 559 z8804 I will goe y3212 z8799 x1980 and returne 7725 z8799 to x413 my first 7223 husband, 376 for x3588 then x227 [was] it better 2896 with me then now. 6258 x4480

 2:8 For she x1931 did not x3808 know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x595 gaue 5414 z8804 her corne, 1715 and wine, 8492 and oyle, 3323 and multiplied 7235 z8689 her siluer 3701 and gold, 2091 [which] they prepared 6213 z8804 for Baal. 1168

 2:9 Therefore x3651 will I returne, 7725 z8799 and take away 3947 z8804 my Corne 1715 in the time 6256 thereof, and my wine 8492 in the season 4150 thereof, and wil recouer 5337 z8689 my wooll 6785 and my flaxe 6593 [giuen] to couer 3680 z8763 x853 her nakednesse. 6172

 2:10 And now x6258 will I discouer 1540 z8762 x853 her lewdnesse 5040 in the sight 5869 of her louers, 157 z8764 and none 376 x3808 shall deliuer 5337 z8686 her out of mine hand. 3027 x4480

 2:11 I will also cause all x3605 her mirth 4885 to cease, 7673 z8689 her feast daies, 2282 her new moones, 2320 and her Sabbaths, 7676 and all x3605 her solemne feasts. 4150

 2:12 And I will destroy 8074 z8689 her vines 1612 and her figge trees, 8384 whereof x834 she hath said; 559 z8804 These x1992 [are] my rewards 866 that x834 my louers 157 z8764 haue giuen 5414 z8804 me: and I will make 7760 z8804 them a forrest, 3293 and the beasts 2416 of the field 7704 shall eate 398 z8804 them.

 2:13 And I will visite 6485 z8804 vpon x5921 her x853 the daies 3117 of Baalim, 1168 wherein x834 she burnt incense 6999 z8686 to them, and she decked 5710 z8799 her selfe with her eare-rings, 5141 and her Iewels, 2484 and she went y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 her louers, 157 z8764 and forgate 7911 z8804 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 2:14 ¶ Therefore x3651 behold, x2009 I x595 will allure 6601 z8764 her, and bring y3212 z8689 x1980 her into the wildernesse, 4057 and speake 1696 z8765 comfortably 3820 x5921 vnto her.

 2:15 And I wil giue 5414 z8804 her, x853 her vineyards 3754 from thence, x4480 x8033 and the valley 6010 of Achor 5911 for a doore 6607 of hope, 8615 and she shall sing 6030 z8804 there, x8033 as in the dayes 3117 of her youth, 5271 and as in the day 3117 when she came vp 5927 z8800 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 2:16 And it shall be x1961 at that x1931 day, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 [that] thou shalt call 7121 z8799 mee Ishi; 376 and shalt call 7121 z8799 mee no x3808 more x5750 Baali. 1180

 2:17 For I will take away 5493 z8689 x853 the names 8034 of Baalim 1168 out of her mouth, 6310 x4480 & they shal no x3808 more x5750 be remembred 2142 z8735 by their name. 8034

 2:18 And in that x1931 day 3117 will I make 3772 z8804 a couenant 1285 for them with x5973 the beasts 2416 of the field, 7704 and with x5973 the foules 5775 of heauen, 8064 and with the creeping things 7431 of the ground: 127 and I will breake 7665 z8799 the bow 7198 and the sword, 2719 and the battell 4421 out of x4480 the earth, 776 and will make them to lie downe 7901 z8689 safely. 983

 2:19 And I will betroth 781 z8765 thee vnto me for euer; 5769 yea, I will betroth 781 z8765 thee vnto me in righteousnesse, 6664 and in iudgement, 4941 and in louing kindnesse, 2617 and in mercies. 7356

 2:20 I will euen betroth 781 z8765 thee vnto me in faithfulnesse, 530 and thou shalt know 3045 z8804 x853 the LORD. 3068

 2:21 And it shall come to passe x1961 in that x1931 day, 3117 I will heare, 6030 z8799 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 I will heare 6030 z8799 x853 the heauens, 8064 and they x1992 shall heare 6030 z8799 x853 the earth, 776

 2:22 And the earth 776 shall heare 6030 z8799 x853 the corne, 1715 and the wine, 8492 and the oyle, 3323 and they x1992 shall heare 6030 z8799 x853 Iezreel. 3157

 2:23 And I will sow 2232 z8804 her vnto me in the earth, 776 and I will haue mercy y7355 z8765 vpon x7355 x853 her that had not x3808 obtained mercy, 7355 z8795 z8677 y3818 and I will say 559 z8804 [to them] which were not x3808 my people; 5971 Thou x859 [art] my people, 5971 and they x1931 shallsay, 559 z8799 [Thou art] my God. 430
