1 The nations which were left to prove Israel. 5 By communion with them they commit idolatry. 8 Othniel delivereth them from Cushan-rishathaim, 12 Ehud from Eglon, 31 Shamgar from the Philistines.

 3:1 ¶ Now these x428 [are] the nations 1471 which x834 the LORD 3068 left, y3240 z8689 x5117 to prooue 5254 z8763 x853 Israel 3478 by them, (euen x853 as many x3605 x834 of Israel as had not x3808 knowen 3045 z8804 x853 all x3605 the warres 4421 of Canaan; 3667

 3:31 ¶ And after 310 him was x1961 Shamgar 8044 the sonne 1121 of Anath, 6067 which slew 5221 z8686 of x853 the Philistines 6430 sixe 8337 hundred 3967 men 376 with an oxe 1241 goad, 4451 and he x1931 also x1571 deliuered 3467 z8686 x853 Israel. 3478
