1 Israel is in the hand of the Philistines. 2 An angel appeareth to Manoah's wife. 8 The angel appeareth to Manoah. 15 Manoah's sacrifice, whereby the angel is discovered. 24 Samson is born.

 13:1 ¶ And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 did 6213 z8800 euill 7451 againe 3254 z8686 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 and the LORD 3068 deliuered 5414 z8799 them into the hand 3027 of the Philistines 6430 forty 705 yeeres. 8141

 13:2 ¶ And there was x1961 a certaine 259 man 376 of Zorah, y6881 x4480 x6681 of the family 4940 x4480 of the Danites, 1839 whose name 8034 was Manoah, 4495 and his wife 802 was barren, 6135 and bare 3205 z8804 not. x3808

 13:3 And the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 vnto x413 the woman, 802 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 her, Behold x2009 now, x4994 thou x859 [art] barren, 6135 and bearest 3205 z8804 not: x3808 but thou shalt conceiue 2029 z8804 and beare 3205 z8804 a sonne. 1121

 13:4 Now x6258 therefore beware 8104 z8734 I pray thee, x4994 and drinke 8354 z8799 not x408 wine, 3196 nor strong drinke, 7941 and eat 398 z8799 not x408 any x3605 vncleane 2931 thing.

 13:5 For x3588 loe, x2009 thou shalt conceiue, y2030 x2029 and beare 3205 z8802 a sonne, 1121 and no x3808 rasor 4177 shall come 5927 z8799 on x5921 his head: 7218 for x3588 the child 5288 shall be x1961 a Nazarite 5139 vnto God 430 from x4480 the wombe: 990 and he x1931 shall begin 2490 z8686 to deliuer 3467 z8687 x853 Israel 3478 out of the hand 3027 x4480 of the Philistines. 6430

 13:6 ¶ Then the woman 802 came, 935 z8799 and told 559 z8799 her husband, 376 saying; 559 z8800 A man 376 of God 430 came 935 z8804 vnto x413 mee, and his countenance 4758 [was] like the countenance 4758 of an Angel 4397 of God, 430 very 3966 terrible: 3372 z8737 but I asked 7592 z8804 him not x3808 whence x335 x4480 x2088 he x1931 was, neither x3808 told 5046 z8689 he me his name: 8034

 13:7 But he said 559 z8799 vnto mee, Behold, x2009 thou shalt conceiue y2030 x2029 and beare 3205 z8802 a sonne; 1121 and now, x6258 drinke y7941 x8354 no x408 wine 3196 nor strong drinke, y8354 z8799 x7941 neither x408 eate 398 z8799 any x3605 vncleane 2932 thing: for x3588 the childe 5288 shal be x1961 a Nazarite 5139 to God, 430 from x4480 the wombe, 990 to x5704 the day 3117 of his death. 4194

 13:8 ¶ Then Manoah 4495 entreated 6279 z8799 x413 the LORD, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 O 994 my Lord, 136 let y4994 the man 376 of God 430 which x834 thou didst send, 7971 z8804 come x935 againe y935 z8799 x5750 vnto x413 vs, & teach 3384 z8686 vs what x4100 we shall do 6213 z8799 vnto the childe 5288 that shall be borne. 3205 z8795

 13:9 And God 430 hearkened 8085 z8799 to the voyce 6963 of Manoah; 4495 and the Angel 4397 of God 430 came x935 againe y935 z8799 x5750 vnto x413 the woman 802 as shee x1931 sate 3427 z8802 in the field: 7704 But Manoah 4495 her husband 376 was not x369 with x5973 her.

 13:10 And the woman 802 made haste, 4116 z8762 and ranne, 7323 z8799 and shewed 5046 z8686 her husband, 376 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him; Behold, x2009 the man 376 hath appeared 7200 z8738 vnto x413 me, that x834 came 935 z8804 vnto x413 me the [other] day. 3117

 13:11 And Manoah 4495 arose, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 his wife, 802 and came 935 z8799 to x413 the man, 376 and said 559 z8799 vnto him, Art thou x859 the man 376 that x834 spakest 1696 z8765 vnto x413 the woman? 802 And he said, 559 z8799 I x589 am.

 13:12 And Manoah 4495 said, 559 z8799 Now x6258 let thy words 1697 come to passe: 935 z8799 How x4100 shall wee order 4941 x1961 the childe, 5288 and [how] shall we doe 4639 vnto him?

 13:13 And the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Manoah, 4495 Of all x4480 x3605 that x834 I said 559 z8804 vnto x413 the woman, 802 let her beware. 8104 z8735

 13:14 She may not x3808 eate 398 z8799 of any x4480 x3605 thing that x834 commeth 3318 z8799 of the Uine, 1612 x4480 neither x408 let her drinke 8354 z8799 wine 3196 or strong drinke, 7941 nor x408 eat 398 z8799 any x3605 vncleane 2932 thing: all x3605 that x834 I commanded 6680 z8765 her, let her obserue. 8104 z8799

 13:15 ¶ And Manoah 4495 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 the Angel 4397 of the LORD, 3068 I pray thee x4994 let vs deteine 6113 z8799 thee, vntill wee shall haue made ready 6213 z8799 a kid 1423 5795 for 6440 thee.

 13:16 And the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Manoah, 4495 Though x518 thou deteine 6113 z8799 mee, I will not x3808 eat 398 z8799 of thy bread: 3899 and if 518 thou wilt offer 6213 z8799 a burnt offering, 5930 thou must offer 5927 z8686 it vnto the LORD: 3068 for x3588 Manoah 4495 knew 3045 z8804 not x3808 that x3588 he x1931 was an Angel 4397 of the LORD. 3068

 13:17 And Manoah 4495 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the Angel 4397 of the LORD, 3068 What x4310 is thy name, 8034 that when x3588 thy sayings 1697 come to passe, 935 z8799 we may doe thee honour? 3513 z8765

 13:18 And the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto him, Why x4100 askest 7592 z8799 thou thus x2088 after my name, 8034 seeing it x1931 is secret? 6383 z8675

 13:19 So Manoah 4495 tooke 3947 z8799 x853 a kid, 1423 5795 with x854 a meat offering, 4503 and offered 5927 z8799 [it] vpon x5921 a rocke 6697 vnto the LORD: 3068 and the [Angel] did 6213 z8800 wonderously, 6381 z8688 and Manoah 4495 and his wife 802 looked on. 7200 z8802

 13:20 For it came to passe, x1961 when the flame 3851 went vp 5927 z8800 toward heauen 8064 from off x4480 x5921 the altar, 4196 that the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 ascended 5927 z8799 in the flame 3851 of the altar: 4196 and Manoah 4495 and his wife 802 looked on 7200 z8802 [it], and fell x5307 on y5307 z8799 x5921 their faces 6440 to the ground. 776

 13:21 (But the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 did no x3808 more 3254 z8804 appeare 7200 z8736 to x413 Manoah 4495 and to x413 his wife:) 802 then x227 Manoah 4495 knewe 3045 z8804 that x3588 he x1931 [was] an Angel 4397 of the LORD. 3068

 13:22 And Manoah 4495 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 his wife, 802 Wee shall surely y4191 z8800 die, 4191 z8799 because x3588 wee haue seene 7200 z8804 God. 430

 13:23 But his wife 802 said 559 z8799 vnto him, If 3863 the LORD 3068 were pleased 2654 z8804 to kill 4191 z8687 vs, he would not x3808 haue receiued 3947 z8804 a burnt offering 5930 and a meat offering 4503 at our hands, 3027 x4480 neither x3808 would hee haue shewed 7200 z8689 vs x853 all x3605 these x428 things, nor x3808 would as at this time 6256 haue told 8085 z8689 vs [such things] as these. 2063

 13:24 ¶ And the woman 802 bare 3205 z8799 a sonne, 1121 and called 7121 z8799 x853 his name 8034 Samson: 8123 and the child 5288 grew, 1431 z8799 & the LORD 3068 blessed 1288 z8762 him.

 13:25 And the Spirit 7307 of the LORD 3068 beganne 2490 z8686 to mooue x6470 him at times y6470 z8800 in the campe 4264 of Dan, 1835 betweene x996 Zorah 6881 and Eshtaol. 847
