Iob 22

1 Eliphaz sheweth that man's goodness profiteth not God. 5 He accuseth Job of divers sins. 21 He exhorteth him to repentance, with promises of mercy.

 22:1 ¶ Then Eliphaz 464 the Temanite 8489 answered, 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799

 22:2 Can a man 1397 be profitable 5532 z8799 vnto God? 410 as y3588 hee that x3588 is wise 7919 z8688 may be profitable 5532 z8799 vnto x5921 himselfe.

 22:3 [Is] it any pleasure 2656 to the Almighty, 7706 that x3588 thou art righteous? 6663 z8799 or x518 [is] it gaine 1215 [to him], that x3588 thou makest thy waies y1870 perfite? 8552 z8686 x1870

 22:4 Will hee reproue 3198 z8686 thee for feare 3374 x4480 of thee? will he enter 935 z8799 with x5973 thee into iudgment? 4941

 22:5 Is not x3808 thy wickednesse 7451 great? 7227 and thine iniquities 5771 infinite? 7093 x369

 22:6 For x3588 thou hast taken a pledge 2254 z8799 from thy brother 251 for nought, 2600 and stripped 6584 z8686 the naked 6174 of their clothing. 899

 22:10 Therefore x5921 x3651 snares 6341 [are] round about 5439 thee, and sudden 6597 feare 6343 troubleth 926 z8762 thee,

 22:11 Or x176 darkenes 2822 that thou canst not x3808 see, 7200 z8799 and abundance 8229 of waters 4325 couer 3680 z8762 thee.

 22:13 And thou sayest, 559 z8804 How x4100 doth God 410 know? 3045 z8804 can he iudge 8199 z8799 through x1157 the darke cloude? 6205

 22:14 Thicke cloudes 5645 [are] a couering 5643 to him that he seeth 7200 z8799 not, x3808 and hee walketh 1980 z8691 in the circuit 2329 of heauen. 8064

 22:16 Which x834 were cut downe 7059 z8795 out of x3808 time, 6256 whose foundation 3247 was ouerflowen 3332 z8714 with a flood. 5104

 22:17 Which said 559 z8802 vnto God, 410 Depart 5493 z8798 from x4480 vs, and what x4100 can the Almightie 7706 doe 6466 z8799 for them?

 22:18 Yet he x1931 filled 4390 z8765 their houses 1004 with good 2896 things: but the counsell 6098 of the wicked 7563 is farre 7368 z8804 from x4480 me.

 22:19 The righteous 6662 see 7200 z8799 [it], and are glad, 8055 z8799 and the innocent 5355 laugh them to scorne. 3932 z8799

 22:20 Whereas 518 our substance 7009 is not x3808 cut downe, 3582 z8738 but the remnant 3499 of them the fire 784 consumeth. 398 z8804

 22:25 Yea the Almightie 7706 shall bee x1961 thy defence, 1220 and thou shalt haue plenty 8443 of siluer. 3701

 22:26 For x3588 then x227 shalt thou haue thy delight 6026 z8691 in x5921 the Almightie, 7706 and shalt lift vp 5375 z8799 thy face 6440 vnto x413 God. 433

 22:27 Thou shalt make thy prayer 6279 z8686 vnto x413 him, and he shall heare 8085 z8799 thee, and thou shalt pay 7999 z8762 thy vowes. 5088
