Exodus 32

1 The people, in the absence of Moses, cause Aaron to make a calf. 7 God is angered thereby. 11 At the intreaty of Moses he is appeased. 19 He breaketh them. 20 He destroyeth the calf. 22 Aaron's excuse for himself. 25 Moses causeth the idolaters to be slain. 30 He prayeth for the people.

 32:1 ¶ And when the people 5971 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 Moses 4872 delayed 954 z8765 to come downe 3381 z8800 out of x4480 the mount, 2022 the people 5971 gathered themselues together 6950 z8735 vnto x5921 Aaron, 175 and said 559 z8799 vnto x413 him, Up, 6965 z8798 make 6213 z8798 vs gods 430 which x834 shall goe y3212 z8799 x1980 before 6440 vs: for x3588 as for this x2088 Moses, 4872 the man 376 that x834 brought y5927 z8689 vs vp x5927 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 we wot 3045 z8804 not x3808 what x4100 is become x1961 of him.

 32:2 And Aaron 175 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, Breake off 6561 z8761 the golden 2091 earerings 5141 which x834 are in the eares 241 of your wiues, 802 of your sonnes, 1121 and of your daughters, 1323 and bring 935 z8685 [them] vnto x413 me.

 32:3 And all x3605 the people 5971 brake off 6561 z8691 x853 the golden 2091 earerings, 5141 which x834 were in their eares, 241 and brought 935 z8686 [them] vnto x413 Aaron. 175

 32:4 And hee receiued 3947 z8799 [them] at their hand, 3027 x4480 and fashioned 6696 z8799 it with a grauing toole, 2747 after hee had made 6213 z8799 it a molten 4541 calfe: 5695 and they said, 559 z8799 These x428 be thy gods, 430 O Israel, 3478 which x834 brought y5927 z8689 thee vp x5927 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 32:5 And when Aaron 175 saw 7200 z8799 it, he built 1129 z8799 an altar 4196 before 6440 it, and Aaron 175 made proclamation, 7121 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 To morrow 4279 [is] a feast 2282 to the LORD. 3068

 32:6 And they rose vp early 7925 z8686 on the morrow, 4283 x4480 and offered 5927 z8686 burnt offerings, 5930 and brought 5066 z8686 peace offerings: 8002 and the people 5971 sate y3427 z8799 downe x3427 to eate 398 z8800 and to drinke, 8354 z8800 and rose vp 6965 z8799 to play. 6711 z8763

 32:7 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 Goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 get thee downe: 3381 z8798 for x3588 thy people 5971 which x834 thou broughtest 5927 z8689 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 haue corrupted 7843 z8765 [themselues].

 32:8 They haue turned y5493 z8804 aside x5493 quickly 4118 out of x4480 the way 1870 which x834 I commaunded 6680 z8765 them: they haue made 6213 z8804 them a molten 4541 Calfe, 5695 and haue worshipped 7812 z8691 it, and haue sacrificed 2076 z8799 thereunto, and saide, 559 z8799 These x428 bee thy gods, 430 O Israel, 3478 which x834 haue brought thee vp 5927 z8689 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 32:9 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 I haue seene 7200 z8804 x853 this x2088 people, 5971 and behold, x2009 it x1931 is a stiffenecked 7186 6203 people. 5971

 32:10 Now x6258 therefore let me alone, y3240 z8685 x5117 that my wrath 639 may waxe hot 2734 z8799 against them, and that I may consume 3615 z8762 them: and I will make 6213 z8799 of thee a great 1419 nation. 1471

 32:11 And Moses 4872 besought 2470 z8762 y6440 x853 the LORD 3068 his God, 430 and said, 559 z8799 LORD, 3068 why x4100 doeth thy wrath 639 ware hot 2734 z8799 against thy people, 5971 which x834 thou hast brought foorth 3318 z8689 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 with great 1419 power, 3581 and with a mighty 2389 hand? 3027

 32:12 Wherefore x4100 should the Egyptians 4714 speake 559 z8799 and say, 559 z8800 For mischiefe 7451 did he bring y3318 z8689 them out, x3318 to slay 2026 z8800 them in the mountaines, 2022 & to consume 3615 z8763 them from x4480 x5921 the face 6440 of the earth? 127 Turne 7725 z8798 from thy fierce y2740 wrath, 639 x4480 x2740 and repent 5162 z8734 of x5921 this euill 7451 against thy people. 5971

 32:13 Remember 2142 z8798 Abraham, 85 Isaac, 3327 and Israel 3478 thy seruants, 5650 to whom x834 thou swarest 7650 z8738 by thine owne selfe, and saidest 1696 z8762 vnto x413 them, I will multiply 7235 z8686 x853 your seed 2233 as the starres 3556 of heauen: 8064 and all x3605 this x2063 land 776 that x834 I haue spoken 559 z8804 of, will I giue 5414 z8799 vnto your seed, 2233 and they shall inherit 5157 z8804 it for euer. 5769

 32:14 And the LORD 3068 repented 5162 z8735 of x5921 the euill 7451 which x834 he thought 1696 z8765 to doe 6213 z8800 vnto his people. 5971

 32:15 ¶ And Moses 4872 turned, 6437 z8799 and went downe 3381 z8799 from x4480 the Mount, 2022 and the two 8147 Tables 3871 of the Testimony 5715 were in his hand: 3027 the Tables 3871 were written 3789 z8803 on both 8147 x4480 their sides; 5676 on the one side, x4480 x2088 and on the other x4480 x2088 were they x1992 written. 3789 z8803

 32:16 And the Tables 3871 were the worke 4639 of God; 430 and the writing 4385 was the writing 4385 of God, 430 grauen 2801 z8803 vpon x5921 the Tables. 3871

 32:17 And when Ioshua 3091 heard 8085 z8799 x853 the noise 6963 of the people 5971 as they shouted, 7452 hee said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 [There is] a noise 6963 of warre 4421 in the campe. 4264

 32:18 And he said, 559 z8799 [It is] not x369 the voyce 6963 of them that shout 6030 z8800 for mastery, 1369 neither x369 [is it] the voyce 6963 of them that cry 6030 z8800 for being ouercome: 2476 [but] the noyse 6963 of them that sing 6031 z8763 doe I x595 heare. 8085 z8802

 32:19 ¶ And it came to passe, x1961 assoone as x834 he came nigh 7126 z8804 vnto x413 the campe, 4264 that he saw 7200 z8799 x853 the Calfe, 5695 and the dancing: 4246 and Moses 4872 anger 639 waxed hot, 2734 z8799 and he cast 7993 z8686 x853 the Tables 3871 out of his hands, 3027 x4480 and brake 7665 z8762 them beneath 8478 the mount. 2022

 32:20 And he tooke 3947 z8799 x853 the Calfe 5695 which x834 they had made, 6213 z8804 and burnt 8313 z8799 [it] in the fire, 784 and ground 2912 z8799 [it] to x5704 powder, 1854 z8804 x834 and strawed 2219 z8799 [it] vpon 6440 x5921 the water, 4325 and made x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 drinke 8248 z8686 [of it].

 32:21 And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Aaron, 175 What x4100 did 6213 z8804 this x2088 people 5971 vnto thee, that x3588 thou hast brought 935 z8689 so great 1419 a sinne 2401 vpon x5921 them?

 32:22 And Aaron 175 said, 559 z8799 Let not x408 the anger 639 of my lord 113 waxe hot: 2734 z8799 thou x859 knowest 3045 z8804 x853 the people, 5971 that x3588 they x1931 are set on mischiefe. 7451

 32:23 For they said 559 z8799 vnto me, Make 6213 z8798 vs gods 430 which x834 shall goe y3212 z8799 x1980 before 6440 vs: for x3588 as for this x2088 Moses, 4872 the man 376 that x834 brought vs vp 5927 z8689 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 we wot 3045 z8804 not x3808 what x4100 is become x1961 of him.

 32:24 And I said 559 z8799 vnto them, Whosoeuer x4310 hath any gold, 2091 let them breake y6561 z8690 it off: x6561 So they gaue 5414 z8799 it mee: then I cast 7993 z8686 it into the fire, 784 & there came out 3318 z8799 this x2088 Calfe. 5695

 32:25 ¶ And when Moses 4872 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 x853 the people 5971 were naked, 6544 z8803 (for x3588 Aaron 175 had made them naked 6544 z8804 vnto their shame, 8103 amongst their enemies) 6965 z8801

 32:26 Then Moses 4872 stood 5975 z8799 in the gate 8179 of the campe, 4264 and saide, 559 z8799 Who x4310 is on the LORDS 3068 side? [let him come] vnto x413 mee. And all x3605 the sonnes 1121 of Leui 3878 gathered y622 z8735 themselues together x622 vnto x413 him.

 32:27 And hee said 559 z8799 vnto them, Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel, 3478 Put 7760 z8798 euery man 376 his sword 2719 by x5921 his side, 3409 and go y5674 z8798 in x5674 and out 7725 z8798 from gate 8179 x4480 to gate 8179 throughout the campe, 4264 and slay 2026 z8798 euery man 376 x853 his brother, 251 and euery man 376 x853 his companion, 7453 and euery man 376 x853 his neighbour. 7138

 32:28 And the children 1121 of Leui 3878 did 6213 z8799 according to the word 1697 of Moses; 4872 and there fell 5307 z8799 of x4480 the people 5971 that x1931 day 3117 about three 7969 thousand 505 men. 376

 32:29 For Moses 4872 had said, 559 z8799 Consecrate x4390 x3027 your selues y4390 z8798 y3027 to day 3117 to the LORD, 3068 [euen] 3588 euery man 376 vpon his sonne, 1121 and vpon his brother, 251 that he may bestow 5414 z8800 vpon x5921 you a blessing 1293 this day. 3117

 32:30 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 on the morrow, 4283 x4480 that Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 the people, 5971 Ye x859 haue sinned 2398 z8804 a great 1419 sinne: 2401 And now x6258 I will goe vp 5927 z8799 vnto x413 the LORD; 3068 peraduenture 194 I shall make an atonement 3722 z8762 for 1157 your sinne. 2403

 32:31 And Moses 4872 returned 7725 z8799 vnto x413 the LORD, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 Oh, 577 this x2088 people 5971 haue sinned 2398 z8804 a great 1419 sinne, 2401 and haue made 6213 z8799 them gods 430 of gold. 2091

 32:32 Yet now, x6258 if x518 thou wilt forgiue 5375 z8799 their sinne; 2403 and if x518 not, x369 blot 4229 z8798 me, I pray thee, x4994 out of thy Booke, 5612 x4480 which x834 thou hast written. 3789 z8804

 32:33 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 Whosoeuer 834 x4310 hath sinned 2398 z8804 against me, him will I blot out 4229 z8799 of my Booke. 5612 x4480

 32:34 Therefore now x6258 goe, y3212 z8798 x1980 leade 5148 z8798 x853 the people 5971 vnto x413 [the place] of which x834 I haue spoken 1696 z8765 vnto thee: Behold, x2009 mine Angel 4397 shall goe y3212 z8799 x1980 before 6440 thee; Neuerthelesse in the day 3117 when I visit, 6485 z8800 I will visit 6485 z8804 their sinne 2403 vpon x5921 them.

 32:35 And the LORD 3068 plagued 5062 z8799 x853 the people, 5971 because 834 x5921 they made 6213 z8804 x853 the Calfe, 5695 which 834 Aaron 175 made. 6213 z8804
