Exodus 22

1 Of theft. 5 Of damage. 7 Of trespasses. 14 Of borrowing. 16 Of fornication. 18 Of witchcraft. 19 Of bestiality. 20 Of idolatry. 21 Of strangers, widows, and fatherless. 25 Of usury. 26 Of pledges. 28 Of reverence to magistrates. 29 Of the firstfruits.

 22:1 ¶ If x3588 a man 376 shal steale 1589 z8799 an oxe, 7794 or x176 a sheepe, 7716 and kill 2873 z8804 it, or x176 sell 4376 z8804 it; he shall restore 7999 z8762 fiue 2568 oxen 1241 for x8478 an oxe, 7794 and foure 702 sheepe 6629 for x8478 a sheepe. 7716

 22:2 ¶ If x518 a thiefe 1590 bee found 4672 z8735 breaking vp, 4290 and be smitten 5221 z8717 that he die, 4191 z8804 there shal no x369 blood 1818 be shed for him.

 22:3 If x518 the Sunne 8121 be risen 2224 z8804 vpon x5921 him, there shall be blood 1818 shed for him: [for] hee should make full y7999 z8763 restitution: 7999 z8762 if x518 he haue nothing, x369 then he shall bee sold 4376 z8738 for his theft. 1591

 22:4 If x518 the theft 1591 be certainely y4672 z8736 found 4672 z8735 in his hand 3027 aliue, 2416 whether it bee oxe 7794 x4480 or x5704 asse, 2543 or x5704 sheepe, 7716 he shall restore 7999 z8762 double. 8147

 22:5 ¶ If x3588 a man 376 shall cause a field 7704 or x176 vineyard 3754 to be eaten, 1197 z8686 and shall put y7971 z8765 in x7971 x853 his beast, 1165 and shall feede 1197 z8765 in another mans 312 field: 7704 of the best 4315 of his owne field, 7704 and of the best 4315 of his owne vineyard 3754 shall he make restitution. 7999 z8762

 22:6 ¶ If x3588 fire 784 breake out, 3318 z8799 and catch 4672 z8804 in thornes, 6975 so that the stackes of corne, 1430 or x176 the standing corne, 7054 or x176 the field 7704 be consumed 398 z8738 [therewith]; hee that kindled 1197 z8686 x853 the fire, 1200 shall surely y7999 z8763 make restitution. 7999 z8762

 22:7 ¶ If x3588 a man 376 shal deliuer 5414 z8799 vnto x413 his neighbour 7453 money 3701 or x176 stuffe 3627 to keepe, 8104 z8800 and it be stollen 1589 z8795 out of the mans y376 house; 1004 x4480 x376 if x518 the thiefe 1590 be found, 4672 z8735 let him pay 7999 z8762 double. 8147

 22:8 If x518 the thiefe 1590 be not 3808 found, 4672 z8735 then the master 1167 of the house 1004 shall be brought 7126 z8738 vnto x413 the Iudges, 430 [to see] whether x518 x3808 he haue put 7971 z8804 his hande 3027 vnto his neighbours 7453 goods. 4399

 22:9 For x5921 all x3605 maner 1697 of trespasse, 6588 [whether it be] for x5921 oxe, 7794 for x5921 asse, 2543 for x5921 sheepe, 7716 for x5921 raiment, 8008 [or] for x5921 any maner x3605 of lost thing, 9 which x834 [another] challengeth 559 z8799 to be his: x3588 x1931 x2088 the cause 1697 of both parties 8147 shall come 935 z8799 before x5704 the Iudges, 430 [and] whome x834 the Iudges 430 shall condemne, 7561 z8686 he shall pay 7999 z8762 double 8147 vnto his neighbour. 7453

 22:10 If x3588 a man 376 deliuer 5414 z8799 vnto x413 his neighbour 7453 an asse, 2543 or x176 an oxe, 7794 or x176 a sheepe, 7716 or any x3605 beast 929 to keepe, 8104 z8800 and it die, 4191 z8804 or x176 be hurt, 7665 z8738 or x176 driuen away, 7617 z8738 no man x369 seeing 7200 z8802 [it],

 22:11 Then shall an othe 7621 of the LORD 3068 be x1961 betweene x996 them both, 8147 that x518 hee hath not x3808 put 7971 z8804 his hand 3027 vnto his neighbours 7453 goods: 4399 and the owner 1167 of it shall accept 3947 z8804 thereof, and he shall not x3808 make it good. 7999 z8762

 22:12 And if x518 it be stollen 1589 z8800 z8735 from x4480 x5973 him, he shall make restitution 7999 z8762 vnto the owner 1167 thereof.

 22:13 If x518 it be torne in pieces, 2963 z8800 z8735 then let him bring 935 z8686 it [for] witnesse, 5707 and hee shall not x3808 make good 7999 z8762 that which was torne. 2966

 22:14 ¶ And if x3588 a man 376 borrowe 7592 z8799 ought of x4480 x5973 his neighbour, 7453 and it be hurt, 7665 z8738 or x176 die, 4191 z8804 the owner 1167 thereof being not x369 with x5973 it, y5973 he shall surely y7999 z8763 make it good. 7999 z8762

 22:15 But if x518 the owner 1167 thereof be with x5973 it, he shall not x3808 make it good: 7999 z8762 If x518 it x1931 bee an hired 7916 [thing], it came 935 z8804 for his hire. 7939

 22:16 ¶ And if x3588 a man 376 entice 6601 z8762 a maide 1330 that x834 is not x3808 betrothed, 781 z8795 and lie 7901 z8804 with x5973 her, he shall surely y4117 z8800 endow 4117 z8799 her to be his wife. 802

 22:17 If x518 her father 1 vtterly y3985 z8763 refuse 3985 z8762 to giue 5414 z8800 her vnto him, he shall pay 8254 z8799 money 3701 according to the dowrie 4119 of virgins. 1330

 22:18 ¶ Thou shalt not x3808 suffer a witch y3784 z8764 to liue. 2421 z8762 x3784

 22:19 ¶ Whosoeuer x3605 lieth 7901 z8802 with x5973 a beast, 929 shall surely y4191 z8800 be put to death. 4191 z8714

 22:20 ¶ Hee that sacrificeth 2076 z8802 vnto [any] god 430 saue 1115 vnto the LORD 3068 onely, x905 hee shall be vtterly destroyed. 2763 z8714

 22:21 ¶ Thou shalt neither x3808 vexe 3238 z8686 a stranger, 1616 nor x3808 oppresse 3905 z8799 him: for x3588 ye were x1961 strangers 1616 in the land 776 of Egypt. 4714

 22:22 ¶ Yee shall not x3808 afflict 6031 z8762 any x3605 widow, 490 or fatherlesse child. 3490

 22:23 If 518 thou afflict y6031 z8762 them in any wise, 6031 z8763 x853 and x3588 they crie y6817 z8799 at all 6817 z8800 vnto x413 mee, I will surely y8085 z8800 heare 8085 z8799 their crie. 6818

 22:24 And my wrath 639 shall waxe hote, 2734 z8804 and I will kill 2026 z8804 you with the sword: 2719 and your wiues 802 shall be x1961 widowes, 490 and your children 1121 fatherlesse. 3490

 22:25 ¶ If x518 thou lend 3867 z8686 money 3701 to any of x853 my people 5971 that is x853 poore 6041 by x5973 thee, thou shalt not x3808 be x1961 to him as an vsurer, 5383 z8802 neither x3808 shalt thou lay 7760 z8799 vpon x5921 him vsurie. 5392

 22:26 If x518 thou at all y2254 z8800 take y2254 z0 thy neighbors y7453 raiment y8008 to pledge, 2254 z8799 x7453 x8008 thou shalt deliuer 7725 z8686 it vnto him by y5704 that x5704 the sun 8121 goeth downe. 935 z8800

 22:27 For x3588 that x1931 is his couering 3682 onely, x905 it x1931 is his raiment 8071 for his skinne: 5785 wherein x4100 shal he sleepe? 7901 z8799 And it shal come to passe, x1961 when x3588 he crieth 6817 z8799 vnto x413 mee, that I will heare: 8085 z8804 for x3588 I x589 am gracious. 2587

 22:28 ¶ Thou shalt not x3808 reuile 7043 z8762 the Gods, 430 nor x3808 curse 779 z8799 the ruler 5387 of thy people. 5971

 22:29 ¶ Thou shalt not x3808 delay 309 z8762 t[o offer] the first of thy ripe fruits, 4395 and of thy liquors: 1831 the first borne 1060 of thy sonnes 1121 shalt thou giue 5414 z8799 vnto me.

 22:30 Likewise 3651 shalt thou do 6213 z8799 with thine oxen, 7794 [and] with thy sheepe: 6629 seuen 7651 dayes 3117 it shall be x1961 with x5973 his damme, 517 on the eight 8066 day 3117 thou shalt giue 5414 z8799 it me.

 22:31 ¶ And ye shall be x1961 holy 6944 men y582 x376 vnto me: neither x3808 shall ye eate 398 z8799 any flesh 1320 that is torne of beasts 2966 in the field: 7704 yee shall cast 7993 z8686 it to the dogs. 3611
