Exodus 16

1 The Israelites come to Sin. 2 They murmur for want of bread. 4 God promiseth them bread from heaven. 11 Quails are sent, 14 and manna. 16 The ordering of manna. 25 It was not to be found on the Sabbath. 32 An omer of it is preserved.

 16:1 ¶ And they tooke their iourney 5265 z8799 from Elim, 362 x4480 and all x3605 the Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 came 935 z8799 vnto x413 the wildernesse 4057 of Sin, 5512 which x834 is betweene x996 Elim 362 and Sinai, 5514 on the fifteenth 6240 y2568 x2508 day 3117 of the second 8145 moneth 2320 after their departing out 3318 z8800 of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 16:2 And the whole x3605 Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 murmured 3885 z8735 against x5921 Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 in the wildernesse. 4057

 16:3 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 saide 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, Would to God 4310 5414 z8799 wee had died 4191 z8800 by the hand 3027 of the LORD 3068 in the land 776 of Egypt, 4714 when wee sate 3427 z8800 by x5921 the flesh 1320 pots, 5518 [and] when we did eate 398 z8800 bread 3899 to the full: 7648 for x3588 ye haue brought vs forth 3318 z8689 x853 into x413 this x2088 wildernesse, 4057 to kill 4191 z8687 x853 this x2088 whole x3605 assembly 6951 with hunger. 7458

 16:4 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 the LORD 3068 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 Behold, x2009 I will raine 4305 z8688 bread 3899 from x4480 heauen 8064 for you: and the people 5971 shall goe out, 3318 z8804 and gather 3950 z8804 a certaine rate y1697 euery day, 3117 x1697 that x4616 I may proue 5254 z8762 them, whether they will walke y3212 z8799 x1980 in my Law, 8451 or x518 no. x3808

 16:5 And it shall come to passe, x1961 that on the sixt 8345 day, 3117 they shall prepare 3559 z8689 x853 that which 834 they bring in, 935 z8686 and it shall be x1961 twice 4932 as much as x5921 x834 they gather 3950 z8799 dayly. 3117

 16:6 And Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 all x3605 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 At euen, 6153 then ye shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 the LORD 3068 hath brought you out 3318 z8689 x853 from the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 16:7 And in the morning, 1242 then ye shall see 7200 z8804 x853 the glory 3519 of the LORD, 3068 for that he heareth 8085 z8800 x853 your murmurings 8519 against x5921 the LORD: 3068 And what x4100 are wee, 5168 that x3588 yee murmure 3885 z8686 z8675 z8735 against x5921 vs?

 16:8 And Moses 4872 said, 559 z8799 [This shalbe] when the LORD 3068 shal giue 5414 z8800 you in the euening 6153 flesh 1320 to eate, 398 z8800 and in the morning 1242 bread 3899 to the full: 7646 z8800 for that the LORD 3068 heareth 8085 z8800 x853 your murmurings 8519 which x834 ye x859 murmure 3885 z8688 against x5921 him; and what x4100 [are] wee? 5168 Your murmurings 8519 are not x3808 against x5921 vs, but x3588 against x5921 the LORD. 3068

 16:9 ¶ And Moses 4872 spake 559 z8799 vnto x413 Aaron, 175 Say 559 z8798 vnto x413 all x3605 the Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 Come neere 7126 z8798 before 6440 the LORD: 3068 for x3588 hee hath heard 8085 z8804 x853 your murmurings. 8519

 16:10 And it came to passe x1961 as Aaron 175 spake 1696 z8763 vnto x413 the whole x3605 Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 that they looked 6437 z8799 toward x413 the wildernesse, 4057 and behold, x2009 the glory 3519 of the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8738 in the cloude. 6051

 16:11 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 16:12 I haue heard 8085 z8804 x853 the murmurings 8519 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478 Speake 1696 z8761 vnto x413 them, saying, 559 z8800 At x996 euen 6153 y996 ye shall eat 398 z8799 flesh, 1320 and in the morning 1242 ye shalbe filled 7646 z8799 with bread: 3899 and ye shal know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 am the LORD 3068 your God. 430

 16:13 And it came to passe, x1961 that at euen 6153 the Quailes 7958 came vp, 5927 z8799 and couered 3680 z8762 x853 the campe: 4264 and in the morning 1242 the dew 2919 lay 7902 x1961 round about 5439 the hoste. 4264

 16:14 And when the dewe 2919 that lay 7902 was gone vp, 5927 z8799 behold, x2009 vpon x5921 the face 6440 of the wildernesse 4057 there lay a small 1851 round thing, 2636 z8794 [as] small 1851 as the hoare frost 3713 on x5921 the ground. 776

 16:15 And when the children 1121 of Israel 3478 saw 7200 z8799 it, they said 559 z8799 one 376 to x413 another, 251 It x1931 is Manna: 4478 for x3588 they wist 3045 z8804 not x3808 what x4100 it x1931 [was]. And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, This x1931 is the bread 3899 which x834 the LORD 3068 hath giuen 5414 z8804 you to eate. 402

 16:16 ¶ This x2088 [is] the thing 1697 which 834 the LORD 3068 hath commanded: 6680 z8765 gather 3950 z8798 of x4480 it euery man 376 according y6310 to x6310 his eating: 400 an Omer 6016 for euery man, 1538 according to the number 4557 of your persons, 5315 take 3947 z8799 yee euery man 376 for them which x834 [are] in his tents. 168

 16:17 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 did 6213 z8799 so, x3651 and gathered 3950 z8799 some more, 7235 z8688 some lesse. 4591 z8688

 16:18 And when they did mete 4058 z8799 [it] with an Omer, 6016 he that gathered much, 7235 z8688 had nothing ouer, 5736 z8689 x3808 and he that gathered litle, 4591 z8688 had no x3808 lacke: 2637 z8689 they gathered 3950 z8804 euery man 376 according y6310 to x6310 his eating. 400

 16:19 And Moses 4872 saide, 559 z8799 Let no x408 man 376 leaue 3498 z8686 of x4480 it till x5704 the morning. 1242

 16:20 Notwithstanding they hearkened 8085 z8804 not x3808 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 but some y582 x376 of them left 3498 z8686 of x4480 it vntill x5704 the morning, 1242 and it bred 7311 z8799 wormes, 8438 and stanke: 887 z8799 and Moses 4872 was wroth 7107 z8799 with x5921 them.

 16:21 And they gathered 3950 z8799 it euery morning, 1242 euery man 376 according y6310 to x6310 his eating: 400 and when the Sunne 8121 waxed hot, 2552 z8804 it melted. 4549 z8738

 16:22 ¶ And it came to passe x1961 that on the sixt 8345 day 3117 they gathered 3950 z8804 twice y4932 as much x4932 bread, 3899 two 8147 Omers 6016 for one 259 [man]: and all x3605 the rulers 5387 of the Congregation 5712 came 935 z8799 and told 5046 z8686 Moses. 4872

 16:23 And he said 559 z8799 vnto x413 them, This x1931 is that which x834 the LORD 3068 hath said, 1696 z8765 To morrow 4279 [is] the rest 7677 of the holy 6944 Sabbath 7676 vnto the LORD: 3068 bake 644 z8798 that x853 which x834 you will bake, 644 z8799 to day, and seethe 1310 z8761 that x834 ye will seethe, 1310 z8762 and that which 3605 remaineth ouer, 5736 z8802 lay vp y3240 z8685 x5117 for you to be kept 4931 vntill x5704 the morning. 1242

 16:24 And they laid it vp y3240 z8686 x5117 x853 till x5704 the morning, 1242 as x834 Moses 4872 bade: 6680 z8765 and it did not x3808 stinke, 887 z8689 neither x3808 was x1961 there any worme 7415 therein.

 16:25 And Moses 4872 saide, 559 z8799 Eate 398 z8798 that to day, 3117 for x3588 to day 3117 is a Sabbath 7676 vnto the LORD: 3068 to day 3117 yee shall not x3808 finde 4672 z8799 it in the field. 7704

 16:26 Sixe 8337 dayes 3117 ye shall gather 3950 z8799 it, but on the seuenth 7637 day 3117 [which is] the Sabbath, 7676 in it there shall be x1961 none. x3808

 16:27 ¶ And it came to passe, x1961 that there went out 3318 z8804 [some] of x4480 the people 5971 on the seuenth 7637 day 3117 for to gather, 3950 z8800 and they found 4672 z8804 none. x3808

 16:28 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 How long x5704 x575 refuse 3985 z8765 yee to keepe 8104 z8800 my Commandements, 4687 and my Lawes? 8451

 16:29 See, 7200 z8798 for x3588 that the LORD 3068 hath giuen 5414 z8804 you the Sabbath, 7676 therefore x5921 x3651 hee x1931 giueth 5414 z8802 you on the sixt 8345 day 3117 the bread 3899 of two dayes: 3117 abide 3427 z8798 yee euery man 376 in his place: x8478 let no x408 man 376 goe out 3318 z8799 of his place 4725 x4480 on the seuenth 7637 day. 3117

 16:30 So the people 5971 rested 7673 z8799 on the seuenth 7637 day. 3117

 16:31 And the house 1004 of Israel 3478 called 7121 z8799 x853 the name 8034 thereof Manna: 4478 and it x1931 [was] like Coriander 1407 seed, 2233 white: 3836 and the taste 2940 of it [was] like wafers 6838 made with hony. 1706

 16:32 ¶ And Moses 4872 said, 559 z8799 This x2088 [is] the thing 1697 which x834 the LORD 3068 commandeth: 6680 z8765 Fill 4393 an Omer 6016 of x4480 it to bee kept 4931 for your generations, 1755 that x4616 they may see 7200 z8799 x853 the bread 3899 wherewith x834 I haue fed 398 z8689 you in the wildernesse, 4057 when I brought you forth 3318 z8687 x853 from the land 776 x4480 of Egypt. 4714

 16:33 And Moses 4872 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 Aaron, 175 Take 3947 z8798 a 259 pot, 6803 and put 5414 z8798 an Omer 6016 full 4393 of Manna 4478 therein, x8033 and lay it vp y3240 z8685 x5117 x853 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 to be kept 4931 for your generations. 1755

 16:34 As x834 the LORD 3068 commaunded 6680 z8765 x413 Moses, 4872 so Aaron 175 layd it vp y3240 z8686 x5117 before 6440 the Testimonie, 5715 to be kept. 4931

 16:35 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 did eat 398 z8804 x853 Manna 4478 fortie 705 yeeres, 8141 vntill x5704 they came 935 z8800 to x413 a land 776 inhabited: 3427 z8737 they did eate 398 z8804 x853 Manna, 4478 vntill x5704 they came 935 z8800 vnto x413 the borders 7097 of the land 776 of Canaan. 3667

 16:36 Now an Omer 6016 is the tenth 6224 part of an Ephah. 374
