Psalmes 35

1 David prayeth for this own safety, and his enemies' confusion. 11 He complaineth of their wrongful dealing. 22 Thereby he inciteth God against them.

 35:1 ¶ [[A [Psalme] of Dauid.]] 1732 Plead 7378 z8798 [my cause] (O LORD) 3068 with x854 them that striue 3401 with mee: fight y3898 z8798 against x3898 x853 them that fight y3898 z8802 against x3898 me.

 35:2 Take hold 2388 z8685 of shield 4043 and buckler, 6793 and stand vp 6965 z8798 for mine helpe. 5833

 35:3 Draw out 7324 z8685 also the speare, 2595 and stop 5462 z8798 [the way] against 7125 z8800 them that persecute 7291 z8802 me: say 559 z8798 vnto my soule, 5315 I x589 [am] thy saluation. 3444

 35:4 Let them be confounded 954 z8799 and put to shame 3637 z8735 that seeke y1245 z8764 after x1245 my soule: 5315 let them be turned 5472 z8735 backe 268 and brought to confusion, 2659 z8799 that deuise 2803 z8802 my hurt. 7451

 35:5 Let them be x1961 as chaffe 4671 before 6440 the wind: 7307 and let the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 chase 1760 z8802 [them].

 35:6 Let their way 1870 be x1961 darke 2822 and slippery, 2519 and let the Angel 4397 of the LORD 3068 persecute 7291 z8802 them.

 35:7 For x3588 without cause 2600 haue they hid 2934 z8804 for me their net 7568 [in] a pit, 7845 which without cause 2600 they haue digged 2658 z8804 for my soule. 5315

 35:8 Let destruction 7722 come y935 z8799 vpon x935 him at vnawares, 3045 3808 z8799 and let his net 7568 that x834 hee hath hid, 2934 z8804 catch 3920 z8799 himselfe: into that very destruction 7722 let him fall. 5307 z8799

 35:9 And my soule 5315 shalbe ioyfull 1523 z8799 in the LORD: 3068 it shall reioyce 7797 z8799 in his saluation. 3444

 35:10 All x3605 my bones 6106 shall say, 559 z8799 LORD, 3068 who x4310 [is] like vnto thee x3644 which deliuerest 5337 z8688 the poore 6041 from him that is too strong 2389 x4480 for x4480 him, yea the poore 6041 and the needy, 34 from him that spoileth 1497 z8802 x4480 him?

 35:11 False 2555 witnesses 5707 did rise vp 6965 z8799 they layd to my charge 7592 z8799 things that x834 I knew 3045 z8804 not. x3808

 35:12 They rewarded 7999 z8762 mee euill 7451 for x8478 good, 2896 to the spoiling 7908 of my soule. 5315

 35:13 But as for me, x589 when they were sicke, 2470 z8800 my clothing 3830 was sack-cloth: 8242 I humbled 6031 z8765 my soule 5315 with fasting, 6685 and my prayer 8605 returned 7725 z8799 into x5921 mine owne bosome. 2436

 35:16 With hypocriticall 2611 mockers 3934 in feasts: 4580 they gnashed 2786 z8800 vpon x5921 mee with their teeth. 8127

 35:17 Lord, 136 how long x4100 wilt thou looke on? 7200 z8799 rescue 7725 z8685 my soule 5315 from their destructions, 7722 x4480 my darling 3173 from the lyons. 3715 x4480

 35:18 I will giue thee thankes 3034 z8686 in the great 7227 congregation: 6951 I will praise 1984 z8762 thee among much 6099 people. 5971

 35:19 Let not x408 them that are mine enemies 341 z8802 wrongfully, 8267 reioyce 8055 z8799 ouer me: [neither] let them winke 7169 z8799 with the eye, 5869 that hate 8130 z8802 me without a cause. 2600

 35:20 For x3588 they speake 1696 z8762 not x3808 peace: 7965 but they deuise 2803 z8799 deceitfull 4820 matters 1697 against x5921 them that are quiet 7282 in the land. 776

 35:21 Yea they opened x7337 their mouth 6310 wide y7337 z8686 against x5921 me, [and] saide, 559 z8804 Aha, 1889 Aha, 1889 our eye 5869 hath seene 7200 z8804 [it].

 35:22 [This] thou hast seene 7200 z8804 (O LORD) 3068 keepe not x408 silence: 2790 z8799 O Lord 136 be not x408 farre 7368 z8799 from x4480 me.

 35:23 Stirre vp y5782 z8685 thy selfe x5782 and awake 6974 z8685 to my iudgement, 4941 [euen] vnto my cause, 7379 my God 430 and my Lord. 136

 35:24 Iudge 8199 z8798 me O LORD 3068 my God, 430 according to thy righteousnesse, 6664 and let them not x408 reioyce 8055 z8799 ouer me.

 35:25 Let them not x408 say 559 z8799 in their hearts, 3820 Ah, 1889 so would we haue it: 5315 let them not x408 say, 559 z8799 We haue swallowed him vp. 1104 z8765

 35:26 Let them be ashamed 954 z8799 and brought to confusion 2659 z8799 together, 3162 that reioyce 8056 at mine hurt: 7451 let them bee cloathed 3847 z8799 with shame 1322 and dishonour, 3639 that magnifie 1431 z8688 [themselues] against x5921 me.

 35:27 Let them shoute for ioy, 7442 z8799 and bee glad 8055 z8799 that fauour 2655 my righteous cause: 6664 yea let them say 559 z8799 continually, 8548 Let the LORD 3068 bee magnified, 1431 z8799 which hath pleasure 2655 in the prosperity 7965 of his seruant 5650

 35:28 And my tongue 3956 shall speake 1897 z8799 of thy righteousnesse, 6664 [and] of thy praise 8416 all x3605 the day 3117 long.
