1 A vision, whereby is shewed the preservation of some, 5 and the destruction of the rest. 8 God cannot be intreated for them.

9:1 ¶ He cried 7121 z8799 also in mine ears 241 with a loud 1419 voice, 6963 saying, 559 z8800 Cause them that have charge 6486 over the city 5892 to draw near, 7126 z8804 even every man 376 [with] his destroying 4892 weapon 3627 in his hand. 3027

9:2 And, behold, x2009 six 8337 men y582 x376 came 935 z8802 from the way 1870 x4480 of the higher 5945 gate, 8179 which x834 lieth 6437 z8716 toward the north, 6828 and every man 376 a slaughter 4660 weapon 3627 in his hand; 3027 and one 259 man 376 among 8432 them [was] clothed 3847 z8803 with linen, 906 with a writer's 5608 z8802 inkhorn 7083 by his side: 4975 and they went in, 935 z8799 and stood 5975 z8799 beside 681 the brazen 5178 altar. 4196

9:3 And the glory 3519 of the God 430 of Israel 3478 was gone up 5927 z8738 from x4480 x5921 the cherub, 3742 whereupon x834 x5921 he was, x1961 to x413 the threshold 4670 of the house. 1004 And he called 7121 z8799 to x413 the man 376 clothed 3847 z8803 with linen, 906 which x834 [had] the writer's 5608 z8802 inkhorn 7083 by his side; 4975

9:4 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Go through 5674 z8798 the midst 8432 of the city, 5892 through the midst 8432 of Jerusalem, 3389 and set 8427 z8689 a mark 8420 upon x5921 the foreheads 4696 of the men y582 x376 that sigh 584 z8737 and that cry 602 z8737 for x5921 all x3605 the abominations 8441 that be done 6213 z8737 in the midst 8432 thereof.

9:5 ¶ And to the others 428 he said 559 z8804 in mine hearing, 241 Go 5674 z8798 ye after 310 him through the city, 5892 and smite: 5221 z8685 let not x408 your eye 5869 spare, 2347 z8799 neither x408 have ye pity: 2550 z8799

9:6 Slay 2026 z8799 utterly 4889 old 2205 [and] young, 970 both maids, 1330 and little children, 2945 and women: 802 but come not near 5066 z8799 x408 x5921 any x3605 man 376 upon x5921 whom x834 [is] the mark; 8420 and begin 2490 z8686 at my sanctuary. 4720 x4480 Then they began 2490 z8686 at the ancient 2205 men y582 x376 which x834 [were] before 6440 the house. 1004

9:7 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, Defile 2930 z8761 x853 the house, 1004 and fill 4390 z8761 x853 the courts 2691 with the slain: 2491 go ye forth. 3318 z8798 And they went forth, 3318 z8804 and slew 5221 z8689 in the city. 5892

9:8 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 while they were slaying 5221 z8687 them, and I x589 was left, 7604 z8737 that I fell 5307 z8799 upon x5921 my face, 6440 and cried, 2199 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 Ah 162 Lord 136 GOD! 3069 wilt thou x859 destroy 7843 z8688 x853 all x3605 the residue 7611 of Israel 3478 in thy pouring out 8210 z8800 x853 of thy fury 2534 upon x5921 Jerusalem? 3389

9:9 Then said 559 z8799 he unto x413 me, The iniquity 5771 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478 and Judah 3063 [is] exceeding 3966 great, 1419 and the land 776 is full 4390 z8735 of blood, 1818 and the city 5892 full 4390 z8804 of perverseness: 4297 for x3588 they say, 559 z8804 The LORD 3068 hath forsaken 5800 z8804 x853 the earth, 776 and the LORD 3068 seeth 7200 z8802 not. x369

9:10 And as for me x589 also, x1571 mine eye 5869 shall not x3808 spare, 2347 z8799 neither x3808 will I have pity, 2550 z8799 [but] I will recompense 5414 z8804 their way 1870 upon their head. 7218

9:11 And, behold, x2009 the man 376 clothed 3847 z8803 with linen, 906 which x834 [had] the inkhorn 7083 by his side, 4975 reported 7725 z8688 the matter, 1697 saying, 559 z8800 I have done 6213 z8804 as x3605 x834 thou hast commanded 6680 z8765 me.
