Psalms 55

1 David in his prayer complaineth of his fearful case. 9 He prayeth against his enemies, of whose wickedness and treachery he complaineth. 16 He comforteth himself in God's preservation of him, and confusion of his enemies.

 55:2 Attend 7181 z8685 unto me, and hear 6030 z8798 me: I mourn 7300 z8686 in my complaint, 7879 and make a noise; 1949 z8686

 55:3 Because of the voice 6963 x4480 of the enemy, 341 z8802 because 6440 x4480 of the oppression 6125 of the wicked: 7563 for x3588 they cast 4131 z8686 iniquity 205 upon x5921 me, and in wrath 639 they hate 7852 z8799 me.

 55:4 My heart 3820 is sore pained 2342 z8799 within 7130 me: and the terrors 367 of death 4194 are fallen 5307 z8804 upon x5921 me.

 55:5 Fearfulness 3374 and trembling 7461 are come 935 z8799 upon me, and horror 6427 hath overwhelmed 3680 z8762 me.

 55:6 And I said, 559 z8799 Oh that y5414 z8799 x4310 I had x5414 wings 83 like a dove! 3123 [for then] would I fly away, 5774 z8799 and be at rest. 7931 z8799

 55:8 I would hasten 2363 z8686 my escape 4655 from the windy 7307 x4480 storm 5584 z8801 [and] tempest. 5591 x4480

 55:9 Destroy, 1104 z8761 O Lord, 136 [and] divide 6385 z8761 their tongues: 3956 for x3588 I have seen 7200 z8804 violence 2555 and strife 7379 in the city. 5892

 55:10 Day 3119 and night 3915 they go about 5437 z8779 it upon x5921 the walls 2346 thereof: mischief 205 also and sorrow 5999 [are] in the midst 7130 of it.

 55:11 Wickedness 1942 [is] in the midst 7130 thereof: deceit 8496 and guile 4820 depart 4185 z8686 not x3808 from x4480 her streets. 7339

 55:13 But [it was] thou, x859 a man 582 mine equal, 6187 my guide, 441 and mine acquaintance. 3045 z8794

 55:14 We took sweet 4985 z8686 counsel 5475 together, 3162 [and] walked 1980 z8762 unto the house 1004 of God 430 in company. 7285

 55:15 Let death 4194 seize 5377 z8686 z8675 y3451 upon x5921 them, [and] let them go down 3381 z8799 quick 2416 into hell: 7585 for x3588 wickedness 7451 [is] in their dwellings, 4033 [and] among 7130 them.

 55:16 As for me, I x589 will call 7121 z8799 upon x413 God; 430 and the LORD 3068 shall save 3467 z8686 me.

 55:17 Evening, 6153 and morning, 1242 and at noon, 6672 will I pray, 7878 z8799 and cry aloud: 1993 z8799 and he shall hear 8085 z8799 my voice. 6963

 55:18 He hath delivered 6299 z8804 my soul 5315 in peace 7965 from the battle 7128 x4480 [that was] against me: for x3588 there were x1961 many 7227 with x5978 me.

 55:19 God 410 shall hear, 8085 z8799 and afflict y6030 z8799 x6031 them, even he that abideth 3427 z8802 of old. 6924 Selah. 5542 Because x834 they have no x369 changes, 2487 therefore they fear 3372 z8804 not x3808 God. 430

 55:20 He hath put forth 7971 z8804 his hands 3027 against such as be at peace 7965 with him: he hath broken 2490 z8765 his covenant. 1285

 55:21 [The words] of his mouth 6310 were smoother 2505 z8804 than butter, 4260 but war 7128 [was] in his heart: 3820 his words 1697 were softer 7401 z8804 than oil, 8081 x4480 yet [were] they x1992 drawn swords. 6609

 55:22 Cast 7993 z8685 thy burden 3053 upon x5921 the LORD, 3068 and he x1931 shall sustain 3557 z8770 thee: he shall never 5769 x3808 suffer 5414 z8799 the righteous 6662 to be moved. 4131 z8800

 55:23 But thou, x859 O God, 430 shalt bring them down 3381 z8686 into the pit 875 of destruction: 7845 bloody 1818 and deceitful 4820 men y582 x376 shall not x3808 live out half 2673 z8799 their days; 3117 but I x589 will trust 982 z8799 in thee.
