Exodus 4

1 Moses' rod is turned into a serpent. 6 His hand is leprous. 10 He is loath to be sent. 14 Aaron is appointed to assist him. 18 Moses departeth from Jethro. 21 God's message to Pharaoh. 24 Zipporah circumciseth her son. 27 Aaron is sent to meet Moses. 31 The people believeth them.

 4:1 ¶ And Moses 4872 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 But, behold, x2005 they will not x3808 believe 539 z8686 me, nor x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 unto my voice: 6963 for x3588 they will say, 559 z8799 The LORD 3068 hath not x3808 appeared 7200 z8738 unto x413 thee.

 4:2 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, What [is] that x4100 x2088 in thine hand? 3027 And he said, 559 z8799 A rod. 4294

 4:3 And he said, 559 z8799 Cast 7993 z8685 it on the ground. 776 And he cast 7993 z8686 it on the ground, 776 and it became x1961 a serpent; 5175 and Moses 4872 fled 5127 z8799 from before 6440 x4480 it.

 4:4 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses, 4872 Put forth 7971 z8798 thine hand, 3027 and take 270 z8798 it by the tail. 2180 And he put forth 7971 z8799 his hand, 3027 and caught 2388 z8686 it, and it became x1961 a rod 4294 in his hand: 3709

 4:5 That x4616 they may believe 539 z8686 that x3588 the LORD 3068 God 430 of their fathers, 1 the God 430 of Abraham, 85 the God 430 of Isaac, 3327 and the God 430 of Jacob, 3290 hath appeared 7200 z8738 unto x413 thee.

 4:6 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 furthermore 5750 unto him, Put 935 z8685 now x4994 thine hand 3027 into thy bosom. 2436 And he put 935 z8686 his hand 3027 into his bosom: 2436 and when he took y3318 z8686 it out, x3318 behold, x2009 his hand 3027 [was] leprous 6879 z8794 as snow. 7950

 4:7 And he said, 559 z8799 Put 7725 z0 thine hand 3027 into x413 thy bosom 2436 again. y7725 z8685 And he put 7725 z0 his hand 3027 into x413 his bosom 2436 again; y7725 z8686 and plucked y3318 z8686 it out x3318 of his bosom, 2436 x4480 and, behold, x2009 it was turned again 7725 z8804 as his [other] flesh. 1320

 4:8 And it shall come to pass, x1961 if x518 they will not x3808 believe 539 z8686 thee, neither x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 to the voice 6963 of the first 7223 sign, 226 that they will believe 539 z8689 the voice 6963 of the latter 314 sign. 226

 4:9 And it shall come to pass, x1961 if x518 they will not x3808 believe 539 z8686 also x1571 these x428 two 8147 signs, 226 neither x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 unto thy voice, 6963 that thou shalt take 3947 z8804 of the water 4325 x4480 of the river, 2975 and pour 8210 z8804 [it] upon the dry 3004 [land]: and the water 4325 which x834 thou takest 3947 z8799 out of x4480 the river 2975 shall become x1961 blood 1818 upon the dry 3006 [land].

 4:10 ¶ And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 the LORD, 3068 O 994 my Lord, 136 I y376 x595 [am] not x3808 eloquent, 1697 x376 neither x1571 heretofore, 8032 8543 4480 x1571 nor x1571 since 227 x4480 thou hast spoken 1696 z8763 unto x413 thy servant: 5650 but x3588 I x595 [am] slow 3515 of speech, 6310 and of a slow 3515 tongue. 3956

 4:11 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Who x4310 hath made 7760 z8804 man's 120 mouth? 6310 or x176 who x4310 maketh 7760 z8799 the dumb, 483 or x176 deaf, 2795 or x176 the seeing, 6493 or x176 the blind? 5787 have not x3808 I x595 the LORD? 3068

 4:12 Now x6258 therefore go, y3212 z8798 x1980 and I x595 will be x1961 with x5973 thy mouth, 6310 and teach 3384 z8689 thee what x834 thou shalt say. 1696 z8762

 4:13 And he said, 559 z8799 O 994 my Lord, 136 send, 7971 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 by the hand 3027 [of him whom] thou wilt send. 7971 z8799

 4:14 And the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 was kindled 2734 z8799 against Moses, 4872 and he said, 559 z8799 [Is] not x3808 Aaron 175 the Levite 3881 thy brother? 251 I know 3045 z8804 that x3588 he x1931 can speak y1696 z8762 well. 1696 z8763 And also, x1571 behold, x2009 he x1931 cometh forth 3318 z8802 to meet 7125 z8800 thee: and when he seeth 7200 z8804 thee, he will be glad 8055 z8804 in his heart. 3820

 4:15 And thou shalt speak 1696 z8765 unto x413 him, and put 7760 z8804 x853 words 1697 in his mouth: 6310 and I x595 will be x1961 with x5973 thy mouth, 6310 and with x5973 his mouth, 6310 and will teach 3384 z8689 you x853 what x834 ye shall do. 6213 z8799

 4:16 And he x1931 shall be thy spokesman 1696 z8765 unto x413 the people: 5971 and he shall be, x1961 [even] he x1931 shall be x1961 to thee instead of a mouth, 6310 and thou x859 shalt be x1961 to him instead of God. 430

 4:17 And thou shalt take 3947 z8799 this x2088 rod 4294 in thine hand, 3027 wherewith x834 thou shalt do 6213 z8799 x853 signs. 226

 4:18 ¶ And Moses 4872 went y3212 z8799 x1980 and returned 7725 z8799 to x413 Jethro y3500 x3503 his father in law, 2859 z8802 and said 559 z8799 unto him, Let me go, y3212 z8799 x1980 I pray thee, x4994 and return 7725 z8799 unto x413 my brethren 251 which x834 [are] in Egypt, 4714 and see 7200 z8799 whether they be yet 5750 alive. 2416 And Jethro 3503 said 559 z8799 to Moses, 4872 Go y3212 z8798 x1980 in peace. 7965

 4:19 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses 4872 in Midian, 4080 Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 return 7725 z8798 into Egypt: 4714 for x3588 all x3605 the men y582 x376 are dead 4191 z8804 which sought 1245 z8764 x853 thy life. 5315

 4:20 And Moses 4872 took 3947 z8799 x853 his wife 802 and his sons, 1121 and set 7392 z8686 them upon x5921 an ass, 2543 and he returned 7725 z8799 to the land 776 of Egypt: 4714 and Moses 4872 took 3947 z8799 x853 the rod 4294 of God 430 in his hand. 3027

 4:21 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses, 4872 When thou goest y3212 z8800 x1980 to return 7725 z8800 into Egypt, 4714 see 7200 z8798 that thou do 6213 z8804 all x3605 those wonders 4159 before 6440 Pharaoh, 6547 which x834 I have put 7760 z8804 in thine hand: 3027 but I x589 will harden 2388 z8762 x853 his heart, 3820 that he shall not x3808 let x853 the people 5971 go. 7971 z8762

 4:22 And thou shalt say 559 z8804 unto x413 Pharaoh, 6547 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Israel 3478 [is] my son, 1121 [even] my firstborn: 1060

 4:23 And I say 559 z8799 unto x413 thee, Let x853 my son 1121 go, 7971 z8761 that he may serve 5647 z8799 me: and if thou refuse 3985 z8762 to let him go, 7971 z8763 behold, x2009 I x595 will slay 2026 z8802 x853 thy son, 1121 [even] thy firstborn. 1060

 4:24 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 by the way 1870 in the inn, 4411 that the LORD 3068 met 6298 z8799 him, and sought 1245 z8762 to kill 4191 z8687 him.

 4:25 Then Zipporah 6855 took 3947 z8799 a sharp stone, 6864 and cut off 3772 z8799 x853 the foreskin 6190 of her son, 1121 and cast 5060 z8686 [it] at his feet, 7272 and said, 559 z8799 Surely x3588 a bloody 1818 husband 2860 [art] thou x859 to me.

 4:26 So he let him go: 7503 z8799 x4480 then x227 she said, 559 z8804 A bloody 1818 husband 2860 [thou art], because of the circumcision. 4139

 4:27 ¶ And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 to x413 Aaron, 175 Go y3212 z8798 x1980 into the wilderness 4057 to meet 7125 z8800 Moses. 4872 And he went, y3212 z8799 x1980 and met 6298 z8799 him in the mount 2022 of God, 430 and kissed 5401 z8799 him.

 4:28 And Moses 4872 told 5046 z8686 Aaron 175 x853 all x3605 the words 1697 of the LORD 3068 who x834 had sent 7971 z8804 him, and all x3605 the signs 226 which x834 he had commanded 6680 z8765 him.

 4:29 ¶ And Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 went y3212 z8799 x1980 and gathered together 622 z8799 x853 all x3605 the elders 2205 of the children 1121 of Israel: 3478

 4:30 And Aaron 175 spake 1696 z8762 x853 all x3605 the words 1697 which x834 the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 z8765 unto x413 Moses, 4872 and did 6213 z8799 the signs 226 in the sight 5869 of the people. 5971

 4:31 And the people 5971 believed: 539 z8686 and when they heard 8085 z8799 that x3588 the LORD 3068 had visited 6485 z8804 x853 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and that x3588 he had looked y7200 z8804 upon x7200 x853 their affliction, 6040 then they bowed their heads 6915 z8799 and worshipped. 7812 z8691
