1 Deborah and Barak deliver Israel from Jabin and Sisera. 18 Jael killeth Sisera.

4:1 ¶ And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 again 3254 z8686 did 6213 z8800 evil 7451 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 when Ehud y164 x261 was dead. 4191 z8804

4:2 And the LORD 3068 sold 4376 z8799 them into the hand 3027 of Jabin 2985 king 4428 of Canaan, 3667 that x834 reigned 4427 z8804 in Hazor; 2674 the captain 8269 of whose host 6635 [was] Sisera, 5516 which x1931 dwelt 3427 z8802 in Harosheth y2800 of the Gentiles. y1471 x2800

4:3 And the children 1121 of Israel 3478 cried 6817 z8799 unto x413 the LORD: 3068 for x3588 he had nine 8672 hundred 3967 chariots 7393 of iron; 1270 and twenty 6242 years 8141 he x1931 mightily y2394 x2393 oppressed 3905 z8804 x853 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

4:4 ¶ And Deborah, 1683 a prophetess, 5031 x802 the wife 802 of Lapidoth, 3941 she x1931 judged 8199 z8802 x853 Israel 3478 at that x1931 time. 6256

4:7 And I will draw 4900 z8804 unto x413 thee to x413 the river 5158 Kishon 7028 x853 Sisera, 5516 the captain 8269 of Jabin's 2985 army, 6635 with his chariots 7393 and his multitude; 1995 and I will deliver 5414 z8804 him into thine hand. 3027

4:8 And Barak 1301 said 559 z8799 unto x413 her, If x518 thou wilt go y3212 z8799 x1980 with x5973 me, then I will go: 1980 z8804 but if x518 thou wilt not x3808 go y3212 z8799 x1980 with x5973 me, [then] I will not x3808 go. y3212 z8799 x1980

4:9 And she said, 559 z8799 I will surely y1980 z8800 go 1980 y3212 z8799 with x5973 thee: notwithstanding y657 x3808 x57 the journey 1870 that x834 thou x859 takest 1980 z8802 shall not x3808 be x1961 for thine honor; 8597 for x3588 the LORD 3068 shall sell 4376 z8799 x853 Sisera 5516 into the hand 3027 of a woman. 802 And Deborah 1683 arose, 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 with x5973 Barak 1301 to Kedesh. 6943

4:10 ¶ And Barak 1301 called 2199 z8686 x853 Zebulun 2074 and Naphtali 5321 to Kedesh; 6943 and he went up 5927 z8799 with ten 6235 thousand 505 men 376 at his feet: 7272 and Deborah 1683 went up 5927 z8799 with x5973 him.

4:13 And Sisera 5516 gathered together 2199 z8686 x853 all x3605 his chariots, 7393 [even] nine 8672 hundred 3967 chariots 7393 of iron, 1270 and all x3605 the people 5971 that x834 [were] with x854 him, from Harosheth y2800 of the Gentiles y1471 x4480 x2800 unto x413 the river 5158 of Kishon. 7028

4:14 And Deborah 1683 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Barak, 1301 Up; 6965 z8798 for x3588 this x2088 [is] the day 3117 in which x834 the LORD 3068 hath delivered 5414 z8804 x853 Sisera 5516 into thine hand: 3027 is not x3808 the LORD 3068 gone out 3318 z8804 before 6440 thee? So Barak 1301 went down 3381 z8799 from mount 2022 x4480 Tabor, 8396 and ten 6235 thousand 505 men 376 after 310 him.

4:15 And the LORD 3068 discomfited 2000 z8799 x853 Sisera, 5516 and all x3605 [his] chariots, 7393 and all x3605 [his] host, 4264 with the edge 6310 of the sword 2719 before 6440 Barak; 1301 so that Sisera 5516 lighted down 3381 z8799 off x4480 x5921 [his] chariot, 4818 and fled away 5127 z8799 on his feet. 7272

4:16 But Barak 1301 pursued 7291 z8804 after 310 the chariots, 7393 and after x310 the host, 4264 unto x5704 Harosheth y2800 of the Gentiles: y1471 x2800 and all x3605 the host 4264 of Sisera 5516 fell 5307 z8799 upon the edge 6310 of the sword; 2719 [and] there was not x3808 a man 259 left. 7604 z8738

4:17 Howbeit Sisera 5516 fled away 5127 z8804 on his feet 7272 to x413 the tent 168 of Jael 3278 the wife 802 of Heber 2268 the Kenite: 7017 for x3588 [there was] peace 7965 between x996 Jabin 2985 the king 4428 of Hazor 2674 and the house 1004 of Heber 2268 the Kenite. 7017

4:18 ¶ And Jael 3278 went out 3318 z8799 to meet 7125 z8800 Sisera, 5516 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Turn in, 5493 z8798 my lord, 113 turn in 5493 z8798 to x413 me; fear 3372 z8799 not. x408 And when he had turned in 5493 z8799 unto x413 her into the tent, 168 she covered 3680 z8762 him with a mantle. 8063

4:19 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 her, Give me, I pray thee, x4994 a little 4592 water 4325 to drink; 8248 z8685 for x3588 I am thirsty. 6770 z8804 And she opened 6605 z8799 x853 a bottle 4997 of milk, 2461 and gave him drink, 8248 z8686 and covered 3680 z8762 him.

4:20 Again he said 559 z8799 unto x413 her, Stand x5975 in y5975 z8798 the door 6607 of the tent, 168 and it shall be, x1961 when x518 any man 376 doth come 935 z8799 and inquire 7592 z8804 of thee, and say, 559 z8804 Is x3426 there y3426 z0 any man 376 here? y3426 x6311 that thou shalt say, 559 z8804 No. x369

4:21 Then Jael 3278 Heber's 2268 wife 802 took 3947 z8799 x853 a nail 3489 of the tent, 168 and took 7760 z8799 x853 a hammer 4718 in her hand, 3027 and went 935 z8799 softly 3814 unto x413 him, and smote 8628 z8799 x853 the nail 3489 into his temples, y7541 x7451 and fastened 6795 z8799 it into the ground: 776 for he x1931 was fast asleep 7290 z8738 and weary. 5774 z8799 So he died. 4191 z8799

4:22 And, behold, x2009 as Barak 1301 pursued 7291 z8802 x853 Sisera, 5516 Jael 3278 came out 3318 z8799 to meet 7125 z8800 him, and said 559 z8799 unto him, Come, y3212 z8798 x1980 and I will show 7200 z8686 thee x853 the man 376 whom x834 thou x859 seekest. 1245 z8764 And when he came 935 z8799 into x413 her [tent], behold, x2009 Sisera 5516 lay 5307 z8802 dead, 4191 z8801 and the nail 3489 [was] in his temples. y7541 x7451

4:23 So God 430 subdued 3665 z8686 on that x1931 day 3117 x853 Jabin 2985 the king 4428 of Canaan 3667 before 6440 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

4:24 And the hand 3027 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 prospered, 1980 y3212 z8799 z8800 and prevailed 7186 x1980 against x5921 Jabin 2985 the king 4428 of Canaan, 3667 until x5704 x834 they had destroyed 3772 z8689 x853 Jabin 2985 king 4428 of Canaan. 3667
