Numbers 25

1 Israel at Shittim commit whoredom and idolatry. 6 Phinehas killeth Zimri and Cozbi. 10 God therfore giveth him an everlasting priesthood. 16 The Midianites are to be vexed.

 25:1 ¶ And Israel 3478 abode 3427 z8799 in Shittim, 7851 and the people 5971 began 2490 z8686 to commit whoredom 2181 z8800 with x413 the daughters 1323 of Moab. 4124

 25:2 And they called 7121 z8799 the people 5971 unto the sacrifices 2077 of their gods: 430 and the people 5971 did eat, 398 z8799 and bowed down 7812 z8691 to their gods. 430

 25:3 And Israel 3478 joined y6775 z8735 himself x6775 unto Baalpeor: 1187 and the anger 639 of the LORD 3068 was kindled 2734 z8799 against Israel. 3478

 25:4 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Moses, 4872 Take 3947 z8798 x853 all x3605 the heads 7218 of the people, 5971 and hang them up 3363 z8685 x853 before y5048 the LORD 3068 against x5048 the sun, 8121 that the fierce 2740 anger 639 of the LORD 3068 may be turned away 7725 z8799 from Israel. 3478 x4480

 25:5 And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 the judges 8199 z8802 of Israel, 3478 Slay 2026 z8798 ye every y376 one 376 his men 582 that were joined 6775 z8737 unto Baalpeor. 1187

 25:10 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 25:11 Phinehas, 6372 the son 1121 of Eleazar, 499 the son 1121 of Aaron 175 the priest, 3548 hath turned y7725 z0 my wrath y2534 away 7725 z8689 x853 x2534 from x4480 x5921 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 while he was zealous 7065 z8763 for my sake 7068 x854 among 8432 them, that I consumed 3615 z8765 not x3808 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 in my jealousy. 7068

 25:12 Wherefore x3651 say, 559 z8798 Behold, x2009 I give 5414 z8802 unto him x853 my covenant 1285 of peace: 7965

 25:13 And he shall have x1961 it, and his seed 2233 after 310 him, [even] the covenant 1285 of an everlasting 5769 priesthood; 3550 because 834 x8478 he was zealous 7065 z8765 for his God, 430 and made an atonement 3722 z8762 for x5921 the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 25:14 Now the name 8034 of the Israelite 376 x3478 that was slain, 5221 z8716 [even] that x834 was slain 5221 z8717 with x854 the Midianitish woman, 4084 [was] Zimri, 2174 the son 1121 of Salu, 5543 a prince 5387 of a chief 1 house 1004 among the Simeonites. 8099

 25:15 And the name 8034 of the Midianitish 4084 woman 802 that was slain 5221 z8716 [was] Cozbi, 3579 the daughter 1323 of Zur; 6698 he x1931 [was] head 7218 over a people, 523 [and] of a chief 1 house 1004 in Midian. 4080

 25:16 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 25:17 Vex 6887 z8800 x853 the Midianites, 4084 and smite 5221 z8689 them:
