Numbers 16

1 The rebellion of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. 23 Moses separateth the people from the rebels' tents. 31 The earth swalloweth up Korah, and a fire consumeth others. 36 The censers are reserved to holy use. 41 Fourteen thousand and seven hundred are slain by a plague for murmuring against Moses and Aaron. 46 Aaron by incense stayeth the plague.

 16:1 ¶ Now Korah, 7141 the son 1121 of Izhar, 3324 the son 1121 of Kohath, 6955 the son 1121 of Levi, 3878 and Dathan 1885 and Abiram, 48 the sons 1121 of Eliab, 446 and On, 203 the son 1121 of Peleth, 6431 sons 1121 of Reuben, 7205 took 3947 z8799 [men]:

 16:2 And they rose up 6965 z8799 before 6440 Moses, 4872 with certain y582 x376 of the children 1121 x4480 of Israel, 3478 two hundred 3967 and fifty 2572 princes 5387 of the assembly, 5712 famous 7148 in the congregation, 4150 men y582 x376 of renown: 8034

 16:3 And they gathered themselves together 6950 z8735 against x5921 Moses 4872 and against x5921 Aaron, 175 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, [Ye take] too much 7227 upon you, seeing x3588 all x3605 the congregation 5712 [are] holy, 6918 every one x3605 of them, and the LORD 3068 [is] among 8432 them: wherefore x4069 then lift ye up y5375 z8691 yourselves x5375 above x5921 the congregation 6951 of the LORD? 3068

 16:4 And when Moses 4872 heard 8085 z8799 [it], he fell 5307 z8799 upon x5921 his face: 6440

 16:5 And he spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Korah 7141 and unto x413 all x3605 his company, 5712 saying, 559 z8800 Even to morrow 1242 the LORD 3068 will shew 3045 z8686 x853 who x834 [are] his, and [who is] holy; 6918 and will cause [him] to come near 7126 z8689 unto x413 him: even [him] whom x834 he hath chosen 977 z8799 will he cause to come near 7126 z8686 unto x413 him.

 16:6 This x2063 do; 6213 z8798 Take 3947 z8798 you censers, 4289 Korah, 7141 and all x3605 his company; 5712

 16:7 And put 5414 z8798 fire 784 therein, y2004 and put 7760 z8798 incense 7004 in x5921 them before 6440 the LORD 3068 to morrow: 4279 and it shall be x1961 [that] the man 376 whom x834 the LORD 3068 doth choose, 977 z8799 he x1931 [shall be] holy: 6918 [ye take] too much 7227 upon you, ye sons 1121 of Levi. 3878

 16:8 And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Korah, 7141 Hear, 8085 z8798 I pray you, x4994 ye sons 1121 of Levi: 3878

 16:9 [Seemeth it but] a small thing 4592 unto x4480 you, that x3588 the God 430 of Israel 3478 hath separated 914 z8689 you from the congregation 5712 x4480 of Israel, 3478 to bring you near 7126 z8687 x853 to x413 himself to do 5647 z8800 x853 the service 5656 of the tabernacle 4908 of the LORD, 3068 and to stand 5975 z8800 before 6440 the congregation 5712 to minister 8334 z8763 unto them?

 16:10 And he hath brought thee near 7126 z8686 x853 [to him], and all x3605 thy brethren 251 the sons 1121 of Levi 3878 with x854 thee: and seek 1245 z8765 ye the priesthood 3550 also? x1571

 16:11 For which cause 3651 [both] thou x859 and all x3605 thy company 5712 [are] gathered together 3259 z8737 against x5921 the LORD: 3068 and what x4100 [is] Aaron, 175 that x3588 ye murmur 3885 z8686 z8675 z8735 against x5921 him?

 16:12 ¶ And Moses 4872 sent 7971 z8799 to call 7121 z8800 Dathan 1885 and Abiram, 48 the sons 1121 of Eliab: 446 which said, 559 z8799 We will not x3808 come up: 5927 z8799

 16:13 [Is it] a small thing 4592 that 3588 thou hast brought us up 5927 z8689 out of a land 776 x4480 that floweth 2100 z8802 with milk 2461 and honey, 1706 to kill 4191 z8687 us in the wilderness, 4057 except x3588 thou make y8323 z0 thyself altogether y8323 z8692 a prince 8323 z8691 x1571 over x5921 us?

 16:14 Moreover 637 thou hast not x3808 brought 935 z8689 us into x413 a land 776 that floweth 2100 z8802 with milk 2461 and honey, 1706 or given 5414 z8799 us inheritance 5159 of fields 7704 and vineyards: 3754 wilt thou put out 5365 z8762 the eyes 5869 of these x1992 men? y582 x376 we will not x3808 come up. 5927 z8799

 16:15 And Moses 4872 was very y3966 wroth, 2734 z8799 x3966 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 the LORD, 3068 Respect 6437 z8799 x413 not x408 thou their offering: 4503 I have not x3808 taken 5375 z8804 one 259 ass 2543 from x4480 them, neither x3808 have I hurt 7489 z8689 x853 one 259 of x4480 them.

 16:16 And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Korah, 7141 Be x1961 thou x859 and all x3605 thy company 5712 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 thou, x859 and they, x1992 and Aaron, 175 to morrow: 4279

 16:17 And take 3947 z8798 every man 376 his censer, 4289 and put 5414 z8804 incense 7004 in x5921 them, and bring 7126 z8689 ye before 6440 the LORD 3068 every man 376 his censer, 4289 two hundred 3967 and fifty 2572 censers; 4289 thou x859 also, and Aaron, 175 each 376 [of you] his censer. 4289

 16:18 And they took 3947 z8799 every man 376 his censer, 4289 and put 5414 z8799 fire 784 in x413 them, and laid 7760 z8799 incense 7004 thereon, x413 and stood 5975 z8799 in the door 6607 of the tabernacle 168 of the congregation 4150 with Moses 4872 and Aaron. 175

 16:19 And Korah 7141 gathered 6950 z8686 x853 all x3605 the congregation 5712 against x5921 them unto x413 the door 6607 of the tabernacle 168 of the congregation: 4150 and the glory 3519 of the LORD 3068 appeared 7200 z8735 unto x413 all x3605 the congregation. 5712

 16:20 And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses 4872 and unto x413 Aaron, 175 saying, 559 z8800

 16:21 Separate y914 z8734 yourselves x914 from among 8432 x4480 this x2063 congregation, 5712 that I may consume 3615 z8762 them in a moment. 7281

 16:22 And they fell 5307 z8799 upon x5921 their faces, 6440 and said, 559 z8799 O God, 410 the God 430 of the spirits 7307 of all x3605 flesh, 1320 shall one 259 man 376 sin, 2398 z8799 and wilt thou be wroth 7107 z8799 with x5921 all x3605 the congregation? 5712

 16:23 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 16:24 Speak 1696 z8761 unto x413 the congregation, 5712 saying, 559 z8800 Get you up 5927 z8734 from about 5439 x4480 the tabernacle 4908 of Korah, 7141 Dathan, 1885 and Abiram. 48

 16:25 And Moses 4872 rose up 6965 z8799 and went y3212 z8799 x1980 unto x413 Dathan 1885 and Abiram; 48 and the elders 2205 of Israel 3478 followed y3212 z8799 x1980 x310 him. y310

 16:26 And he spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 the congregation, 5712 saying, 559 z8800 Depart, 5493 z8798 I pray you, x4994 from x4480 x5921 the tents 168 of these x428 wicked 7563 men, y582 x376 and touch 5060 z8799 nothing x408 x3605 of theirs, lest x6435 ye be consumed 5595 z8735 in all x3605 their sins. 2403

 16:27 So they gat up 5927 z8735 from x4480 x5921 the tabernacle 4908 of Korah, 7141 Dathan, 1885 and Abiram, 48 on every side: 5439 x4480 and Dathan 1885 and Abiram 48 came out, 3318 z8804 and stood 5324 z8737 in the door 6607 of their tents, 168 and their wives, 802 and their sons, 1121 and their little children. 2945

 16:28 And Moses 4872 said, 559 z8799 Hereby x2063 ye shall know 3045 z8799 that x3588 the LORD 3068 hath sent 7971 z8804 me to do 6213 z8800 x853 all x3605 these x428 works; 4639 for x3588 [I have] not x3808 [done them] of mine own mind. 3820 x4480

 16:29 If x518 these x428 men die 4191 z8799 the common death 4194 of all x3605 men, 120 or if they be visited 6485 z8735 after x5921 the visitation 6486 of all x3605 men; 120 [then] the LORD 3068 hath not x3808 sent 7971 z8804 me.

 16:30 But if x518 the LORD 3068 make 1254 z8799 a new thing, 1278 and the earth 127 open 6475 z8804 x853 her mouth, 6310 and swallow them up, 1104 z8804 x853 with all x3605 that x834 [appertain] unto them, and they go down 3381 z8804 quick 2416 into the pit; 7585 then ye shall understand 3045 z8804 that x3588 these x428 men y582 x376 have provoked 5006 z8765 x853 the LORD. 3068

 16:31 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 as he had made an end 3615 z8763 of speaking 1696 z8763 x853 all x3605 these x428 words, 1697 that the ground 127 clave asunder 1234 z8735 that x834 [was] under x8478 them:

 16:32 And the earth 776 opened 6605 z8799 x853 her mouth, 6310 and swallowed them up, 1104 z8799 x853 and their houses, 1004 and all x3605 the men 120 that x834 [appertained] unto Korah, 7141 and all x3605 [their] goods. 7399

 16:33 They, x1992 and all x3605 that x834 [appertained] to them, went down 3381 z8799 alive 2416 into the pit, 7585 and the earth 776 closed 3680 z8762 upon x5921 them: and they perished 6 z8799 from among 8432 x4480 the congregation. 6951

 16:34 And all x3605 Israel 3478 that x834 [were] round about 5439 them fled 5127 z8804 at the cry 6963 of them: for x3588 they said, 559 z8804 Lest x6435 the earth 776 swallow us up 1104 z8799 [also].

 16:35 And there came out 3318 z8804 a fire 784 from x4480 x854 the LORD, 3068 and consumed 398 z8799 the x853 two hundred 3967 and fifty 2572 men 376 that offered 7126 z8688 incense. 7004

 16:36 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 16:37 Speak 559 z8798 unto x413 Eleazar 499 the son 1121 of Aaron 175 the priest, 3548 that he take up 7311 z8686 x853 the censers 4289 out y996 of x4480 x996 the burning, 8316 and scatter 2219 z8798 thou the fire 784 yonder; 1973 for x3588 they are hallowed. 6942 z8804

 16:38 x853 The censers 4289 of these x428 sinners 2400 against their own souls, 5315 let them make 6213 z8804 x853 them broad 7555 plates 6341 [for] a covering 6826 of the altar: 4196 for x3588 they offered 7126 z8689 them before 6440 the LORD, 3068 therefore they are hallowed: 6942 z8799 and they shall be x1961 a sign 226 unto the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 16:39 And Eleazar 499 the priest 3548 took 3947 z8799 x853 the brasen 5178 censers, 4289 wherewith x834 they that were burnt 8313 z8803 had offered; 7126 z8689 and they were made broad 7554 z8762 [plates for] a covering 6826 of the altar: 4196

 16:40 [To be] a memorial 2146 unto the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 that 834 4616 no x3808 stranger, 376 2114 z8801 which x1931 [is] not x3808 of the seed 2233 x4480 of Aaron, 175 come near 7126 z8799 to offer 6999 z8687 incense 7004 before 6440 the LORD; 3068 that he be x1961 not x3808 as Korah, 7141 and as his company: 5712 as x834 the LORD 3068 said 1696 z8765 to him by the hand 3027 of Moses. 4872

 16:41 ¶ But on the morrow 4283 x4480 all x3605 the congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 murmured 3885 z8735 against x5921 Moses 4872 and against x5921 Aaron, 175 saying, 559 z8800 Ye x859 have killed 4191 z8689 x853 the people 5971 of the LORD. 3068

 16:42 And it came to pass, x1961 when the congregation 5712 was gathered 6950 z8736 against x5921 Moses 4872 and against x5921 Aaron, 175 that they looked 6437 z8799 toward x413 the tabernacle 168 of the congregation: 4150 and, behold, x2009 the cloud 6051 covered 3680 z8765 it, and the glory 3519 of the LORD 3068 appeared. 7200 z8735

 16:43 And Moses 4872 and Aaron 175 came 935 z8799 before 6440 x413 the tabernacle 168 of the congregation. 4150

 16:44 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 unto x413 Moses, 4872 saying, 559 z8800

 16:45 Get you up 7426 z8734 from among 8432 x4480 this x2063 congregation, 5712 that I may consume 3615 z8762 them as in a moment. 7281 And they fell 5307 z8799 upon x5921 their faces. 6440

 16:46 ¶ And Moses 4872 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Aaron, 175 Take 3947 z8798 x853 a censer, 4289 and put 5414 z8798 fire 784 therein x5921 from off y6440 x4480 x5921 the altar, 4196 and put y7760 z8798 on x7760 incense, 7004 and go y3212 z8685 x1980 quickly 4120 unto x413 the congregation, 5712 and make an atonement 3722 z8761 for x5921 them: for x3588 there is wrath 7110 gone out 3318 z8804 from x4480 x6440 the LORD; 3068 the plague 5063 is begun. 2490 z8689

 16:47 And Aaron 175 took 3947 z8799 as x834 Moses 4872 commanded, 1696 z8765 and ran 7323 z8799 into x413 the midst 8432 of the congregation; 6951 and, behold, x2009 the plague 5063 was begun 2490 z8689 among the people: 5971 and he put y5414 z8799 on x5414 x853 incense, 7004 and made an atonement 3722 z8762 for x5921 the people. 5971

 16:48 And he stood 5975 z8799 between x996 the dead 4191 z8801 and the living; 2416 and the plague 4046 was stayed. 6113 z8735

 16:49 Now they that died 4191 z8801 in the plague 4046 were x1961 fourteen 702 6240 thousand 505 and seven 7651 hundred, 3967 beside x4480 x905 them that died 4191 z8801 about x5921 the matter 1697 of Korah. 7141

 16:50 And Aaron 175 returned 7725 z8799 unto x413 Moses 4872 unto x413 the door 6607 of the tabernacle 168 of the congregation: 4150 and the plague 4046 was stayed. 6113 z8738
