Ezekiel 22

1 A catalogue of sins in Jerusalem. 13 God will burn them as dross in his furnace. 23 The general corruption of prophets, priests, princes, and people.

 22:1 ¶ Moreover the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 unto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 22:2 Now, thou x859 son 1121 of man, 120 wilt thou judge, 8199 z8799 wilt thou judge 8199 z8799 x853 the bloody 1818 city? 5892 yea, thou shalt shew 3045 z8689 her x853 all x3605 her abominations. 8441

 22:3 Then say 559 z8804 thou, Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 The city 5892 sheddeth 8210 z8802 blood 1818 in the midst 8432 of it, that her time 6256 may come, 935 z8800 and maketh 6213 z8804 idols 1544 against x5921 herself to defile 2930 z8800 herself.

 22:4 Thou art become guilty 816 z8804 in thy blood 1818 that x834 thou hast shed; 8210 z8804 and hast defiled 2930 z8804 thyself in thine idols 1544 which x834 thou hast made; 6213 z8804 and thou hast caused thy days 3117 to draw near, 7126 z8686 and art come 935 z8799 [even] unto x5704 thy years: 8141 therefore x5921 x3651 have I made 5414 z8804 thee a reproach 2781 unto the heathen, 1471 and a mocking 7048 to all x3605 countries. 776

 22:5 [Those that be] near, 7138 and [those that be] far 7350 from x4480 thee, shall mock 7046 z8691 thee, [which art] infamous 2931 8034 [and] much 7227 vexed. 4103

 22:6 Behold, x2009 the princes 5387 of Israel, 3478 every one 376 were x1961 in thee to their power 2220 to x4616 shed 8210 z8800 blood. 1818

 22:7 In thee have they set light 7043 z8689 by father 1 and mother: 517 in the midst 8432 of thee have they dealt 6213 z8804 by oppression 6233 with the stranger: 1616 in thee have they vexed 3238 z8689 the fatherless 3490 and the widow. 490

 22:8 Thou hast despised 959 z8804 mine holy things, 6944 and hast profaned 2490 z8765 my sabbaths. 7676

 22:9 In thee are x1961 men y582 x376 that carry tales 7400 to x4616 shed 8210 z8800 blood: 1818 and in thee they eat 398 z8804 upon x413 the mountains: 2022 in the midst 8432 of thee they commit 6213 z8804 lewdness. 2154

 22:10 In thee have they discovered 1540 z8765 their fathers' 1 nakedness: 6172 in thee have they humbled 6031 z8765 her that was set apart 5079 for pollution. 2931

 22:11 And one 376 hath committed 6213 z8804 abomination 8441 with x854 his neighbour's 7453 wife; 802 and another 376 hath lewdly 2154 defiled 2930 z8765 x853 his daughter in law; 3618 and another 376 in thee hath humbled 6031 z8765 x853 his sister, 269 his father's 1 daughter. 1323

 22:12 In thee have they taken 3947 z8804 gifts 7810 to x4616 shed 8210 z8800 blood; 1818 thou hast taken 3947 z8804 usury 5392 and increase, 8636 and thou hast greedily gained 1214 z8762 of thy neighbours 7453 by extortion, 6233 and hast forgotten 7911 z8804 me, saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069

 22:13 ¶ Behold, x2009 therefore I have smitten 5221 z8689 mine hand 3709 at x413 thy dishonest gain 1215 which x834 thou hast made, 6213 z8804 and at x5921 thy blood 1818 which x834 hath been x1961 in the midst 8432 of thee.

 22:14 Can thine heart 3820 endure, 5975 z8799 or x518 can thine hands 3027 be strong, 2388 z8799 in the days 3117 that x834 I x589 shall deal 6213 z8802 with thee? I x589 the LORD 3068 have spoken 1696 z8765 [it], and will do 6213 z8804 [it].

 22:15 And I will scatter 6327 z8689 thee among the heathen, 1471 and disperse 2219 z8765 thee in the countries, 776 and will consume 8552 z8689 thy filthiness 2932 out of x4480 thee.

 22:16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance 2490 z8738 z8676 y5157 z8765 in thyself in the sight 5869 of the heathen, 1471 and thou shalt know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 [am] the LORD. 3068

 22:17 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 unto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 22:18 Son 1121 of man, 120 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 is to me become x1961 dross: 5509 all x3605 they [are] brass, 5178 and tin, 913 and iron, 1270 and lead, 5777 in the midst 8432 of the furnace; 3564 they are x1961 [even] the dross 5509 of silver. 3701

 22:19 Therefore x3651 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD; 3069 Because x3282 ye are all x3605 become x1961 dross, 5509 behold, x2009 therefore x3651 I will gather 6908 z8802 you into x413 the midst 8432 of Jerusalem. 3389

 22:20 [As] they gather 6910 silver, 3701 and brass, 5178 and iron, 1270 and lead, 5777 and tin, 913 into x413 the midst 8432 of the furnace, 3564 to blow 5301 z8800 the fire 784 upon x5921 it, to melt 5413 z8687 [it]; so x3651 will I gather 6908 z8799 [you] in mine anger 639 and in my fury, 2534 and I will leave y3240 z8689 x5117 [you there], and melt 5413 z8689 you.

 22:21 Yea, I will gather 3664 z8765 you, and blow 5301 z8804 upon x5921 you in the fire 784 of my wrath, 5678 and ye shall be melted 5413 z8738 in the midst 8432 thereof.

 22:22 As silver 3701 is melted 2046 in the midst 8432 of the furnace, 3564 so x3651 shall ye be melted 5413 z8714 in the midst 8432 thereof; and ye shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 the LORD 3068 have poured out 8210 z8804 my fury 2534 upon x5921 you.

 22:23 ¶ And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 unto x413 me, saying, 559 z8800

 22:24 Son 1121 of man, 120 say 559 z8798 unto her, Thou x859 [art] the land 776 that x1931 is not x3808 cleansed, 2891 z8794 nor x3808 rained y1656 upon x1656 in the day 3117 of indignation. 2195

 22:25 [There is] a conspiracy 7195 of her prophets 5030 in the midst 8432 thereof, like a roaring 7580 z8802 lion 738 ravening 2963 z8802 the prey; 2964 they have devoured 398 z8804 souls; 5315 they have taken 3947 z8799 the treasure 2633 and precious things; 3366 they have made her many 7235 z8689 widows 490 in the midst 8432 thereof.

 22:26 Her priests 3548 have violated 2554 z8804 my law, 8451 and have profaned 2490 z8762 mine holy things: 6944 they have put no difference 914 z8689 x3808 between x996 the holy 6944 and profane, 2455 neither x3808 have they shewed 3045 z8689 [difference] between x996 the unclean 2931 and the clean, 2889 and have hid 5956 z8689 their eyes 5869 from my sabbaths, 7676 x4480 and I am profaned 2490 z8735 among 8432 them.

 22:27 Her princes 8269 in the midst 7130 thereof [are] like wolves 2061 ravening 2963 z8802 the prey, 2964 to shed 8210 z8800 blood, 1818 [and] to destroy 6 z8763 souls, 5315 to x4616 get 1214 z8800 dishonest gain. 1215

 22:28 And her prophets 5030 have daubed 2902 z8804 them with untempered 8602 [morter], seeing 2374 vanity, 7723 and divining 7080 z8802 lies 3577 unto them, saying, 559 z8802 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the Lord 136 GOD, 3069 when the LORD 3068 hath not x3808 spoken. 1696 z8765

 22:29 The people 5971 of the land 776 have used x6231 oppression, 6233 y6231 z8804 and exercised 1497 z8804 robbery, 1498 and have vexed 3238 z8689 the poor 6041 and needy: 34 yea, they have oppressed 6231 z8804 the stranger 1616 wrongfully. 4941 x3808

 22:30 And I sought 1245 z8762 for a man 376 among x4480 them, that should make up 1443 z8802 the hedge, 1447 and stand 5975 z8802 in the gap 6556 before 6440 me for x1157 the land, 776 that I should not x1115 destroy 7843 z8763 it: but I found 4672 z8804 none. x3808

 22:31 Therefore have I poured out 8210 z8799 mine indignation 2195 upon x5921 them; I have consumed 3615 z8765 them with the fire 784 of my wrath: 5678 their own way 1870 have I recompensed 5414 z8804 upon their heads, 7218 saith 5002 z8803 the Lord 136 GOD. 3069
