Haggai 2

1 He encourageth the people to the work, by promise of greater glory to the second Temple than was in the first. 10 In the type of holy things and unclean, he sheweth their sins hindered the work. 20 God's promise to Zerubbabel.

 2:1 ¶ In the seuenth 7637 moneth, in the one 259 and twentith 6242 [day] of the moneth, 2320 came x1961 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 by 3027 the Prophet 5030 Haggai, 2292 saying; 559 z8800

 2:2 Speake 559 z8798 now x4994 to x413 Zerubbabel 2216 the sonne 1121 of Shealtiel, 7597 gouernour 6346 of Iudah, 3063 and to x413 Iosuah 3091 the sonne 1121 of Iosedech 3087 the high 1419 priest, 3548 and to x413 the residue 7611 of the people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800

 2:3 Who x4310 is left 7604 z8737 among you that x834 sawe 7200 z8804 x853 this x2088 house 1004 in her first 7223 glory? 3519 and how x4100 do ye x859 see 7200 z8802 it now? x6258 [Is it] not x3808 in your eyes 5869 in comparison y3644 of it, x3644 as nothing? x369

 2:4 Yet now x6258 be strong, 2388 z8798 O Zerubbabel, 2216 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and bee strong, 2388 z8798 O Ioshua, 3091 sonne 1121 of Iosedech 3087 the high 1419 Priest, 3548 and be strong 2388 z8798 all x3605 ye people 5971 of the land, 776 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and worke: 6213 z8798 (for x3588 I x589 [am] with x854 you, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD 3068 of hosts,) 6635

 2:5 [According to] x853 the word 1697 that x834 I couenanted 3772 z8804 with x854 you, when ye came y3318 z8800 out x3318 of Egypt, 4714 x4480 so my Spirit 7307 remaineth 5975 z8802 among 8432 you, Feare 3372 z8799 ye not. x408

 2:6 For x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 Yet x5750 once, 259 it x1931 [is] a litle while, 4592 and I x589 will shake 7493 z8688 x853 the heauens, 8064 and the earth, 776 and the sea, 3220 and the drie 2724 land.

 2:7 And I will shake 7493 z8689 x853 all x3605 nations, 1471 and the desire 2532 of all x3605 nations 1471 shall come, 935 z8804 and I will fill 4390 z8765 x853 this x2088 house 1004 with glory, 3519 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts. 6635

 2:8 The siluer 3701 [is] mine, and the gold 2091 [is] mine, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD 3068 of hosts. 6635

 2:9 The glory 3519 of this x2088 latter 314 house 1004 shal be x1961 greater x1419 then y1419 x4480 of the former, 7223 saith y5002 z8803 x559 the LORD 3068 of hostes: 6635 and in this x2088 place 4725 will I giue 5414 z8799 peace, 7965 saith y559 z8804 x5002 the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

 2:10 ¶ In the foure 702 and twentieth 6242 [day] of the ninth 8671 [moneth], in the second 8147 yeere 8141 of Darius, 1867 came x1961 ye word 1697 of the LORD 3068 by y3027 x413 Haggai 2292 the Prophet, 5030 saying, 559 z8800

 2:11 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 Aske 7592 z8798 now x4994 x853 the priests 3548 [concerning] the law, 8451 saying, 559 z8800

 2:12 If x2005 one 376 beare 5375 z8799 holy 6944 flesh 1320 in the skirt 3671 of his garment, 899 and with his skirt 3671 doe touch 5060 z8804 x413 bread 3899 or pottage, 5138 or wine, 3196 or oile, 8081 or any x3605 meate, 3978 shall it be holy? 6942 z8799 and the priests 3548 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 No. x3808

 2:13 Then said 559 z8799 Haggai, 2292 If x518 one that is vncleane 2931 by a dead body, 5315 touch 5060 z8799 any x3605 of these, x428 shal it be vncleane? 2930 z8799 and the priests 3548 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 It shalbe vncleane. 2930 z8799

 2:14 Then answered 6030 z8799 Haggai, 2292 and said, 559 z8799 So x3651 [is] this x2088 people, 5971 and so x3651 [is] this x2088 nation 1471 before 6440 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and so x3651 [is] euery x3605 worke 4639 of their hands, 3027 and that which x834 they offer 7126 z8686 there, x8033 is vncleane. 2931

 2:15 And now x6258 I pray you x4994 consider 7760 3824 z8798 from x4480 this x2088 day 3117 and vpward, 4605 from before 2962 x4480 a stone 68 was laid 7760 z8800 vpon x413 a stone 68 in the Temple 1964 of the LORD. 3068

 2:16 Since those [dayes] were, x4480 x1961 when one came 935 z8804 to x413 an heape 6194 of twentie 6242 [measures], there were x1961 but ten: 6235 when one came 935 z8804 to x413 the presse-fatte 3342 for to draw out 2834 z8800 fiftie 2572 [vessels] out of the presse, 6333 there were x1961 but twentie. 6242

 2:17 I smote 5221 z8689 you with blasting, 7711 and with mildew, 3420 and with haile 1259 in x854 all x3605 the labours 4639 of your hands: 3027 yet yee [turned] not x369 to x413 me, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD. 3068

 2:18 Consider 7760 3824 z8798 now x4994 from x4480 this x2088 day, 3117 and vpward 4605 from the foure 702 and twentieth 6242 day 3117 x4480 of the ninth 8671 [moneth, euen] from x4480 the day 3117 that x834 the foundatio y3245 z8795 of the LORDS y3068 Temple y1964 was laid, x3245 x1964 x3068 consider 7760 3824 z8798 it.

 2:19 [Is] the seed 2233 yet x5750 in the barne? 4035 yea, as yet x5704 the vine 1612 and the fig tree, 8384 & the pomegranate, 7416 and the Oliue 2132 tree 6086 hath not x3808 brought foorth: 5375 z8804 from x4480 this x2088 day 3117 will I blesse 1288 z8762 [you].

 2:20 ¶ And againe 8145 the worde 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 vnto x413 Haggai 2292 in the foure 702 and twentieth 6242 [day] of the moneth, 2320 saying, 559 z8800

 2:21 Speake 559 z8798 to x413 Zerubbabel 2216 gouernor 6346 of Iudah, 3063 saying, 559 z8800 I x589 wil shake 7493 z8688 x853 the heauens 8064 and the earth. 776

 2:22 And I will ouerthrow 2015 z8804 the throne 3678 of kingdomes, 4467 and I will destroy 8045 z8689 the strength 2392 of the kingdomes 4467 of the heathen, 1471 and I will ouerthrow 2015 z8804 the charets, 4818 and those that ride 7392 z8802 in them, and the horses 5483 and their riders 7392 z8802 shall come downe, 3381 z8804 euery one 376 by the sword 2719 of his brother. 251

 2:23 In that x1931 day, 3117 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 will I take 3947 z8799 thee, O Zerubbabel, 2216 my seruant, 5650 the son 1121 of Shealtiel, 7597 saith 5002 z8803 the LORD, 3068 and will make 7760 z8804 thee as a signet: 2368 for x3588 I haue chosen 977 z8804 thee, saith 5002 z8803 the LORD 3068 of hosts. 6635
