Ezrah 3

1 The altar is set up. 4 Offerings frequented. 7 Workmen prepared. 8 The foundations of the Temple are laid in great joy and mourning.

 3:1 ¶ And when the seuenth 7637 moneth 2320 was come, 5060 z8799 and the children 1121 of Israel 3478 [were] in the cities: 5892 the people 5971 gathered themselues together, 622 z8735 as one 259 man 376 to x413 Ierusalem. 3389

 3:2 Then stood vp 6965 z8799 Ieshua 3442 the sonne 1121 of Iozadak, 3136 & his brethren 251 the priests, 3548 and Zerubbabel 2216 the sonne 1121 of Shealtiel, 7597 and his brethren, 251 and builded 1129 z8799 x853 the Altar 4196 of the God 430 of Israel, 3478 to offer 5927 z8687 burnt offrings 5930 thereon, x5921 as [it is] written 3789 z8803 in the law 8451 of Moses 4872 the man 376 of God. 430

 3:3 And they set 3559 z8686 the altar 4196 vpon x5921 his bases, 4350 (for x3588 feare 367 [was] vpon x5921 them, because of the people 5971 x4480 of those countreys) 776 and they offered 5927 z8686 burnt offerings 5930 thereon x5921 vnto the LORD, 3068 [euen] burnt offerings, 5930 morning 1242 and euening. 6153

 3:4 They kept 6213 z8799 also x853 the feast 2282 of tabernacles, 5521 as [it is] written, 3789 z8803 and offred the dayly 3117 burnt offrings, 5930 by number, 4557 according to the custome, 4941 as the duetie 1697 of euery day 3117 required: y3117

 3:5 And afterward 310 [offered] the continuall 8548 burnt offering, 5930 both of the new moones, 2320 and of all x3605 the set feasts 4150 of the LORD, 3068 that were consecrated, 6942 z8794 and of euery one x3605 that willingly offred, offered 5068 z8693 a free will offering 5071 vnto the LORD. 3068

 3:6 From the first y259 day 3117 x4480 x259 of the seuenth 7637 moneth, 2320 began 2490 z8689 they to offer 5927 z8687 burnt offerings 5930 vnto the LORD: 3068 but the foundation 3245 z0 of the temple 1964 of the LORD 3068 was not x3808 [yet] laid. y3245 z8795

 3:7 They gaue 5414 z8799 money 3701 also vnto the masons, 2672 z8802 and to the carpenters, 2796 and meate, 3978 and drinke, 4960 and oyle, 8081 vnto them of Zidon, 6722 and to them of Tyre, 6876 to bring 935 z8687 Cedar 730 trees 6086 from x4480 Lebanon 3844 to x413 the sea 3220 of Ioppa: 3305 according to the grant 7558 that they had of Cyrus 3566 king 4428 of Persia. 6539

 3:8 ¶ Now in the second 8145 yere 8141 of their coming 935 z8800 vnto x413 the house 1004 of God 430 at Ierusalem, 3389 in the second 8145 moneth, 2320 began 2490 z8689 Zerubbabel 2216 the sonne 1121 of Shealtiel, 7597 and Ieshua 3442 the sonne 1121 of Iozadak, 3136 and the remnant 7605 of their brethren, 251 the Priests 3548 and the Leuites, 3881 and all x3605 they that were come x935 out y935 z8802 of the captiuitie 7628 x4480 vnto Ierusalem: 3389 and appointed 5975 z8686 x853 the Leuites, 3881 from twentie y6242 yeeres y8141 olde 1121 x4480 x6242 x8141 and vpward, 4605 to set x5329 forward y5329 z8763 x5921 the worke 4399 of the house 1004 of the LORD. 3068

 3:9 Then stood 5975 z8799 Ieshua, 3442 [with] his sons 1121 and his brethren, 251 Kadmiel 6934 and his sonnes, 1121 the sonnes 1121 of Iudah 3063 together, 259 to set x5329 forward y5329 z8763 x5921 the workemen 6213 4399 z8802 in the house 1004 of God: 430 the sonnes 1121 of Henadad, 2582 with their sonnes 1121 and their brethren 251 the Leuites. 3881

 3:10 And when the builders 1129 z8802 laide the foundation 3245 z8765 of x853 the Temple 1964 of the LORD, 3068 they set 5975 z8686 the Priests 3548 in their apparell 3847 z8794 with Trumpets, 2689 and the Leuites 3881 the sonnes 1121 of Asaph, 623 with Cymbales, 4700 to praise 1984 z8763 x853 the LORD, 3068 after x5921 the ordinance 3027 of Dauid 1732 king 4428 of Israel. 3478
