Job 20

Zophar sheweth the state and portion of the wicked.

 20:1 ¶ Then answered 6030 z8799 Zophar 6691 the Naamathite, 5284 and said, 559 z8799

 20:2 Therefore x3651 do my thoughts 5587 cause me to answer, 7725 z8686 and for x5668 [this] I make haste. 2363 z8800

 20:3 I have heard 8085 z8799 the check 4148 of my reproach, 3639 and the spirit 7307 of my understanding 998 x4480 causeth me to answer. 6030 z8799

 20:4 Knowest 3045 z8804 thou [not] this x2063 of x4480 old, 5703 since x4480 man 120 was placed 7760 z8800 upon x5921 earth, 776

 20:5 That x3588 the triumphing 7445 of the wicked 7563 [is] short, 7138 x4480 and the joy 8057 of the hypocrite 2611 [but] for x5704 a moment? 7281

 20:6 Though x518 his excellency 7863 mount up 5927 z8799 to the heavens, 8064 and his head 7218 reach 5060 z8686 unto the clouds; 5645

 20:7 [Yet] he shall perish 6 z8799 forever 5331 like his own dung: 1561 they which have seen 7200 z8802 him shall say, 559 z8799 Where 335 [is] he?

 20:8 He shall fly away 5774 z8799 as a dream, 2472 and shall not x3808 be found: 4672 z8799 yea, he shall be chased away 5074 z8714 as a vision 2384 of the night. 3915

 20:9 The eye 5869 also [which] saw 7805 z8804 him shall [see him] no x3808 more; 3254 z8686 neither x3808 shall his place 4725 any more x5750 behold 7789 z8799 him.

 20:10 His children 1121 shall seek to please 7521 z8762 the poor, 1800 and his hands 3027 shall restore 7725 z8686 their goods. 202

 20:11 His bones 6106 are full 4390 z8804 [of the sin] of his youth, 5934 which shall lie down 7901 z8799 with x5973 him in x5921 the dust. 6083

 20:14 [Yet] his meat 3899 in his bowels 4578 is turned, 2015 z8738 [it is] the gall 4846 of asps 6620 within 7130 him.

 20:15 He hath swallowed down 1104 z8804 riches, 2428 and he shall vomit them up again: 6958 z8686 God 410 shall cast them out 3423 z8686 of x4480 his belly. 990

 20:16 He shall suck 3243 z8799 the poison 7219 of asps: 6620 the viper's 660 tongue 3956 shall slay 2026 z8799 him.

 20:17 He shall not x408 see 7200 z8799 the rivers, 6390 the floods, 5104 the brooks 5158 of honey 1706 and butter. 2529

 20:18 That which he labored y3022 for x3022 shall he restore, 7725 z8688 and shall not x3808 swallow [it] down: 1104 z8799 according to [his] substance 2428 [shall] the restitution 8545 [be], and he shall not x3808 rejoice 5965 z8799 [therein].

 20:19 Because x3588 he hath oppressed 7533 z8765 [and] hath forsaken 5800 z8804 the poor; 1800 [because] he hath violently taken away 1497 z8804 a house 1004 which he built 1129 z8799 not; x3808

 20:20 Surely x3588 he shall not x3808 feel 3045 z8804 quietness 7961 in his belly, 990 he shall not x3808 save 4422 z8762 of that which he desired. 2530 z8803

 20:21 There shall none x369 of his meat 400 be left; 8300 therefore x3651 x5921 shall no x3808 man look 2342 z8799 for his goods. 2898

 20:22 In the fullness 4390 z8800 z8675 z8763 of his sufficiency 5607 he shall be in straits: 3334 z8799 every x3605 hand 3027 of the wicked 6001 shall come 935 z8799 upon him.

 20:23 [When] he x1961 is about to fill 4390 z8763 his belly, 990 [God] shall cast 7971 z8762 the fury 2740 of his wrath 639 upon him, and shall rain 4305 z8686 [it] upon x5921 him while he is eating. 3894

 20:24 He shall flee 1272 z8799 from the iron 1270 weapon, 5402 x4480 [and] the bow 7198 of steel 5154 shall strike him through. 2498 z8799

 20:25 It is drawn, 8025 z8804 and cometh out 3318 z8799 of the body; 1465 x4480 yea, the glittering sword 1300 cometh x1980 out y1980 z8799 of his gall: 4846 x4480 terrors 367 [are] upon x5921 him.

 20:26 All x3605 darkness 2822 [shall be] hid 2934 z8803 in his secret places: 6845 z8803 a fire 784 not x3808 blown 5301 z8795 shall consume 398 z8762 him; it shall go ill y3415 z8799 x7489 with him that is left 8300 in his tabernacle. 168

 20:27 The heaven 8064 shall reveal 1540 z8762 his iniquity; 5771 and the earth 776 shall rise up 6965 z8693 against him.

 20:28 The increase 2981 of his house 1004 shall depart, 1540 z8799 [and his goods] shall flow away 5064 z8737 in the day 3117 of his wrath. 639
