Joshua 1

1 The LORD appointeth Joshua to succeed Moses. 3 The borders of the promised land. 5, 9 God promiseth to assist Joshua. 8 He giveth him instructions. 10 He prepareth the people to pass over Jordan. 12 Joshua putteth the two tribes and half in mind of their promise to Moses. 16 They promise him fealty.

 1:2 Moses 4872 my servant 5650 is dead; 4191 z8804 now x6258 therefore arise, 6965 z8798 go over 5674 z8798 x853 this x2088 Jordan, 3383 thou, x859 and all x3605 this x2088 people, 5971 unto x413 the land 776 which x834 I x595 do give 5414 z8802 to them, [even] to the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 1:3 Every x3605 place 4725 that x834 the sole 3709 of your foot 7272 shall tread x1869 upon, y1869 z8799 that have I given 5414 z8804 unto you, as x834 I said 1696 z8765 unto x413 Moses. 4872

 1:4 From the wilderness 4057 x4480 and this x2088 Lebanon 3844 even unto x5704 the great 1419 river, 5104 the river 5104 Euphrates, 6578 all x3605 the land 776 of the Hittites, 2850 and unto x5704 the great 1419 sea 3220 toward the going down 3996 of the sun, 8121 shall be x1961 your coast. 1366

 1:5 There shall not x3808 any man 376 be able to stand 3320 z8691 before 6440 thee all x3605 the days 3117 of thy life: 2416 as x834 I was x1961 with x5973 Moses, 4872 [so] I will be x1961 with x5973 thee: I will not x3808 fail 7503 z8686 thee, nor x3808 forsake 5800 z8799 thee.

 1:6 Be strong 2388 z8798 and of a good courage: 553 z8798 for x3588 unto x853 this x2088 people 5971 shalt thou x859 divide for an inheritance 5157 z8686 x853 the land, 776 which x834 I sware 7650 z8738 unto their fathers 1 to give 5414 z8800 them.

 1:7 Only x7535 be thou strong 2388 z8798 and very 3966 courageous, 553 z8798 that thou mayest observe 8104 z8800 to do 6213 z8800 according to all x3605 the law, 8451 which x834 Moses 4872 my servant 5650 commanded 6680 z8765 thee: turn 5493 z8799 not x408 from x4480 it [to] the right hand 3225 or [to] the left, 8040 that x4616 thou mayest prosper 7919 z8686 whithersoever x3605 x834 thou goest. y3212 z8799 x1980

 1:11 Pass 5674 z8798 through 7130 the host, 4264 and command 6680 z8761 x853 the people, 5971 saying, 559 z8800 Prepare 3559 z8685 you victuals; 6720 for x3588 within x5750 three 7969 days 3117 ye x859 shall pass over 5674 z8802 x853 this x2088 Jordan, 3383 to go in 935 z8800 to possess 3423 z8800 x853 the land, 776 which x834 the LORD 3068 your God 430 giveth 5414 z8802 you to possess 3423 z8800 it.

 1:12 ¶ And to the Reubenites, 7206 and to the Gadites, 1425 and to half 2677 the tribe 7626 of Manasseh, 4519 spake 559 z8804 Joshua, 3091 saying, 559 z8800

 1:13 Remember 2142 z8800 x853 the word 1697 which x834 Moses 4872 the servant 5650 of the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 you, saying, 559 z8800 The LORD 3068 your God 430 hath given you rest, 5117 z8688 and hath given 5414 z8804 you x853 this x2063 land. 776

 1:14 Your wives, 802 your little ones, 2945 and your cattle, 4735 shall remain 3427 z8799 in the land 776 which x834 Moses 4872 gave 5414 z8804 you on this side 5676 Jordan; 3383 but ye x859 shall pass 5674 z8799 before 6440 your brethren 251 armed, 2571 all x3605 the mighty y1368 men x1368 of valour, 2428 and help 5826 z8804 them;

 1:15 Until x5704 x834 the LORD 3068 have given 5117 z0 your brethren 251 rest, 5117 z8686 as [he hath given] you, and they x1992 also x1571 have possessed 3423 z8804 x853 the land 776 which x834 the LORD 3068 your God 430 giveth 5414 z8802 them: then ye shall return 7725 z8804 unto the land 776 of your possession, 3425 and enjoy 3423 z8804 it, which x834 Moses 4872 the LORD'S 3068 servant 5650 gave 5414 z8804 you on this side 5676 Jordan 3383 toward the sunrising. 4217 8121

 1:17 According as we hearkened 8085 z8804 unto x413 Moses 4872 in all x3605 things, x834 so x3651 will we hearken 8085 z8799 unto x413 thee: only x7535 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 be x1961 with x5973 thee, as x834 he was x1961 with x5973 Moses. 4872
