1 He sharply reproveth the priests for neglecting their Covenant, 11 and the people for idolatry, 14 for adultery, 17 and for infidelity.

2:1 ¶ And now, x6258 O yee Priests, 3548 this x2063 commaundement 4687 [is] for x413 you.

2:2 If x518 ye will not x3808 heare, 8085 z8799 and if x518 yee will not x3808 lay 7760 z8799 [it] to x5921 heart, 3820 to giue 5414 z8800 glory 3519 vnto my name, 8034 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hostes; 6635 I will euen send 7971 z8765 x853 a curse 3994 vpon you, and will curse 779 z8804 x853 your blessings: 1293 yea, x1571 I haue cursed 779 z8804 them already, because x3588 yee doe not x369 lay 7760 z8802 [it] to x5921 heart. 3820

2:3 Behold, x2009 I will corrupt 1605 z8802 x853 your seed, 2233 and spread 2219 z8765 doung 6569 vpon x5921 your faces, 6440 [euen] the doung 6569 of your solemne feasts, 2282 and one shall take you away 5375 z8804 x853 with x413 it.

2:4 And yee shall know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I haue sent 7971 z8765 this x2063 x853 commaundement 4687 vnto x413 you, that my couenant 1285 might be x1961 with x854 Leui, 3878 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

2:5 My couenant 1285 was x1961 with x854 him of life 2416 and peace, 7965 and I gaue 5414 z8799 them to him, [for] the feare, 4172 wherewith he feared 3372 z8799 mee, and was afraid 2865 z8738 before 6440 x4480 my name. 8034

2:6 The law 8451 of truth 571 was x1961 in his mouth, 6310 and iniquitie 5766 was not x3808 found 4672 z8738 in his lips: 8193 he walked 1980 z8804 with x854 me in peace 7965 and equitie, 4334 and did turne y7725 z0 many y7227 away 7725 z8689 x7227 from iniquitie. 5771 x4480

2:7 For x3588 the priests 3548 lips 8193 should keepe 8104 z8799 knowledge, 1847 and they should seeke 1245 z8762 the law 8451 at his mouth: 6310 x4480 for x3588 he x1931 [is] the messenger 4397 of the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

2:8 But yee x859 are departed 5493 z8804 out of x4480 the way: 1870 ye haue caused many y7227 to stumble 3782 z8689 x7227 at the law: 8451 ye haue corrupted 7843 z8765 the couenant 1285 of Leui, 3878 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

2:9 Therefore haue I x589 also x1571 made 5414 z8804 you contemptible 959 z8737 and base 8217 before al x3605 the people, 5971 according y6310 as x6310 x834 yee haue not x369 kept 8104 z8802 x853 my wayes, 1870 but haue bin partiall 5375 6440 z8802 in ye law. 8451

2:10 [Haue] we not x3808 all x3605 one 259 father? 1 hath not x3808 one 259 God 410 created 1254 z8804 vs? Why x4069 doe we deale treacherously 898 z8799 euery man 376 against his brother, 251 by prophaning 2490 z8763 the couenant 1285 of our fathers? 1

2:11 ¶ Iudah 3063 hath dealt treacherously, 898 z8804 and an abomination 8441 is committed 6213 z8738 in Israel 3478 and in Ierusalem: 3389 for x3588 Iudah 3063 hath prophaned 2490 z8765 the holinesse 6944 of the LORD 3068 which x834 he loued, 157 z8804 and hath maried 1166 z8804 the daughter 1323 of a strange 5236 God. 410

2:12 The LORD 3068 will cut off 3772 z8686 the man 376 that x834 doth 6213 z8799 this: the Master 5782 z8802 and the scholler 6030 z8802 out of the tabernacles 168 x4480 of Iacob, 3290 and him that offereth 5066 z8688 an offring 4503 vnto the LORD 3068 of hostes. 6635

2:13 And this x2063 haue yee done 6213 z8799 againe, 8145 couering 3680 z8763 x853 the Altar 4196 of the LORD 3068 with teares, 1832 with weeping 1065 and with crying out, 603 in so much that hee regardeth 6437 z8800 x413 not x4480 x369 the offering 4503 any more, x5750 or receiueth 3947 z8800 it with good will 7522 at your hand. 3027 x4480

2:14 ¶ Yet ye say, 559 z8804 Wherefore? 4100 x5921 Because x5921 x3588 the LORD 3068 hath bene witnes 5749 z8689 betweene x996 thee and the wife 802 of thy youth, 5271 against whome x834 thou x859 hast dealt treacherously: 898 z8804 yet [is] she x1931 thy companion, 2278 and the wife 802 of thy couenant. 1285

2:15 And did not x3808 he make 6213 z8804 one? 259 yet [had] he the residue 7605 of the spirit: 7307 and wherefore x4100 one? 259 that hee might seeke 1245 z8764 a godly 430 seed: 2233 therefore take heed 8104 z8738 to your spirit, 7307 and let none x408 deale treacherously 898 z8799 against the wife 802 of his youth. 5271

2:16 For x3588 the LORD 3068 the God 430 of Israel 3478 saith, 559 z8804 that he hateth 8130 z8804 putting away: 7971 z8763 for one couereth 3680 z8765 violence 2555 with x5921 his garment, 3830 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 therfore take heed 8104 z8738 to your spirit, 7307 that ye deale not treacherously. 898 z8799 x3808

2:17 ¶ Ye haue wearied 3021 z8689 the LORD 3068 with your words: 1697 yet ye say, 559 z8804 Wherein x4100 haue we wearied 3021 z8689 him? when ye say, 559 z8800 Euery one x3605 that doeth 6213 z8802 euill, 7451 [is] good 2896 in the sight 5869 of the LORD, 3068 and he x1931 delighteth 2654 z8804 in them, or x176 where x346 [is] the God 430 of iudgement? 4941
