Leuiticus 16

1 How the high priest must enter into the holy place. 11 The sin offering for himself. 15 The sin offering for the people. 20 The scapegoat. 29 The yearly feast of the expiations.

 16:1 ¶ And the LORD 3068 spake 1696 z8762 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 after 310 the death 4194 of the two 8147 sonnes 1121 of Aaron, 175 when they offered 7126 z8800 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and died. 4191 z8799

 16:2 And the LORD 3068 sayd 559 z8799 vnto x413 Moses, 4872 Speake 1696 z8761 vnto x413 Aaron 175 thy brother, 251 that hee come 935 z8799 not x408 at all x3605 times 6256 in to x413 the Holy 6944 place within 1004 x4480 the Uaile, 6532 before 6440 x413 the Mercy seat, 3727 which x834 [is] vpon x5921 the Arke, 727 that hee die 4191 z8799 not: x3808 for x3588 I will appeare 7200 z8735 in the cloud 6051 vpon x5921 the Mercy y3727 seat. x3727

 16:3 Thus 2063 shall Aaron 175 come 935 z8799 into x413 the Holy 6944 place: with a yong 1121 1241 bullocke 6499 for a sinne offering, 2403 and a ramme 352 for a burnt offering. 5930

 16:4 Hee shall put on 3847 z8799 the holy 6944 linnen 906 coate, 3801 and he shall haue x1961 the linnen 906 breeches 4370 vpon x5921 his flesh, 1320 and shall be girded 2296 z8799 with a linnen 906 girdle, 73 and with the linnen 906 Miter 4701 shall hee be attired. 6801 z8799 These 1992 [are] holy 6944 garments: 899 therefore shall he wash 7364 z8804 x853 his flesh 1320 in water, 4325 and so put them on. 3847 z8804

 16:5 And he shall take 3947 z8799 of x4480 x854 the Congregation 5712 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 two 8147 kiddes 8163 of the Goates 5795 for a sinne offering, 2403 and one 259 ramme 352 for a burnt offering. 5930

 16:6 And Aaron 175 shall offer 7126 z8689 x853 his bullocke 6499 of the sinne offering, 2403 which x834 is for himselfe, y1157 and make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x1157 himselfe, and for x1157 his house. 1004

 16:7 And he shall take 3947 z8804 x853 the two 8147 goats, 8163 and present 5975 z8689 them before 6440 the LORD 3068 at the doore 6607 of the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation. 4150

 16:8 And Aaron 175 shall cast 5414 z8804 lottes 1486 vpon x5921 the two 8147 Goates: 8163 one 259 lot 1486 for the LORD, 3068 and the other 259 lot 1486 for the Scape goat. 5799

 16:9 And Aaron 175 shall bring 7126 z8689 x853 the goate 8163 vpon x5921 which x834 the LORDS 3068 lot 1486 fell, 5927 z8804 and offer 6213 z8804 him for a sinne offering. 2403

 16:10 But the goat 8163 on x5921 which x834 the lot 1486 fell 5927 z8804 to be the Scape goate, 5799 shalbe presented 5975 z8714 aliue 2416 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 to make an atonement 3722 z8763 with x5921 him, and to let him goe 7971 z8763 x853 for a Scape goate 5799 into the wildernesse. 4057

 16:11 And Aaron 175 shal bring 7126 z8689 x853 the bullocke 6499 of the sinne offering, 2403 which x834 is for himselfe, and shall make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x1157 himselfe, and for x1157 his house, 1004 and shal kill 7819 z8804 x853 the bullocke 6499 of the sinne offering 2403 which x834 [is] for himselfe.

 16:12 And he shall take 3947 z8804 a censer 4289 full 4393 of burning y784 z0 coales 1513 of fire 784 from off x4480 x5921 the Altar 4196 before 6440 x4480 the LORD, 3068 and his handes 2651 full 4393 of sweet 5561 incense 7004 beaten small, 1851 and bring 935 z8689 [it] within 1004 x4480 the vaile. 6532

 16:13 And he shall put 5414 z8804 x853 the incense 7004 vpon x5921 the fire 784 before 6440 the LORD, 3068 that the cloud 6051 of the incense 7004 may couer 3680 z8765 x853 the mercie seate 3727 that x834 [is] vpon x5921 the testimonie, 5715 that he die 4191 z8799 not. x3808

 16:14 And he shall take 3947 z8804 of the blood 1818 x4480 of the bullocke, 6499 and sprinkle 5137 z8689 [it] with his finger 676 vpon x5921 x6440 the Mercie seat 3727 Eastward: 6924 and before 6440 the Mercie seate 3727 shall hee sprinkle 5137 z8686 of x4480 the blood 1818 with his finger 676 seuen 7651 times. 6471

 16:15 ¶ Then shall he kill 7819 z8804 x853 the goate 8163 of the sinne offering 2403 that x834 [is] for the people, 5971 and bring 935 z8689 x853 his blood 1818 within 1004 x413 x4480 the Uaile, 6532 and doe 6213 z8804 with x854 that blood 1818 as x834 he did 6213 z8804 with the blood 1818 of the bullocke, 6499 and sprinkle 5137 z8689 it vpon x5921 the Mercie seat, 3727 and before 6440 the Mercie seat. 3727

 16:16 And he shall make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x5921 the holy 6944 place, because of the vncleannesse 2932 x4480 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and because of their transgressions 6588 x4480 in all x3605 their sinnes: 2403 and so x3651 shall hee doe 6213 z8799 for the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation 4150 that remaineth 7931 z8802 among x854 them, in the middest 8432 of their vncleannesse. 2932

 16:17 And there shall bee x1961 no x3808 x3605 man 120 in the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 when hee goeth y935 z8800 in x935 to make an atonement 3722 z8763 in the holy 6944 place, vntill x5704 hee come out, 3318 z8800 and haue made an atonement 3722 z8765 for x1157 himselfe, and for x1157 his houshold, 1004 and for x1157 all x3605 the Congregation 6951 of Israel. 3478

 16:18 And he shall goe out 3318 z8804 vnto x413 the Altar 4196 that x834 [is] before 6440 the LORD, 3068 and make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x5921 it, & shall take 3947 z8804 of the blood 1818 x4480 of the bullocke, 6499 and of the blood 1818 x4480 of the goate, 8163 and put 5414 z8804 [it] vpon x5921 the hornes 7161 of the Altar 4196 round about. 5439

 16:19 And he shall sprinkle 5137 z8689 of x4480 the blood 1818 vpon x5921 it with his finger 676 seuen 7651 times, 6471 and clense 2891 z8765 it, and hallow 6942 z8765 it from the vncleannesse 2932 x4480 of the children 1121 of Israel. 3478

 16:20 ¶ And when hee hath made an end 3615 z8765 of reconciling 3722 z8763 x4480 x853 the holy 6944 place, and the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 and the Altar, 4196 hee shall bring 7126 z8689 x853 the liue 2416 goate. 8163

 16:21 And Aaron 175 shall lay 5564 z8804 x853 both 8147 his hands 3027 vpon x5921 the head 7218 of the liue 2416 goate, 8163 and confesse 3034 z8694 ouer x5921 him x853 all x3605 the iniquities 5771 of the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 and all x3605 their transgressions 6588 in all x3605 their sinnes, 2403 putting 5414 z8804 them vpon x5921 the head 7218 of the goate, 8163 and shall send him away 7971 z8765 by the hand 3027 of a fit 6261 man 376 into the wildernesse. 4057

 16:22 And the goate 8163 shall beare 5375 z8804 vpon x5921 him x853 all x3605 their iniquities, 5771 vnto x413 a land 776 not inhabited; 1509 and he shall let goe 7971 z8765 x853 the goat 8163 in the wildernesse. 4057

 16:23 And Aaron 175 shall come 935 z8804 into x413 the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 and shal put off 6584 z8804 x853 the linnen 906 garments 899 which x834 he put on, 3847 z8804 when he went 935 z8800 in to x413 the holy 6944 place, and shall leaue y3240 z8689 x5117 them there. x8033

 16:24 And he shall wash 7364 z8804 x853 his flesh 1320 with water 4325 in the holy 6918 place, 4725 and put on 3847 z8804 x853 his garments, 899 and come foorth, 3318 z8804 and offer 6213 z8804 x853 his burnt offering, 5930 and the burnt offering 5930 of the people, 5971 and make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x1157 himselfe, and for x1157 the people. 5971

 16:25 And the fat 2459 of the sinne offering 2403 shall he burne 6999 z8686 vpon the Altar. 4196

 16:26 And he that let goe 7971 z8764 x853 the goat 8163 for the Scape-goat, 5799 shal wash 3526 z8762 his clothes, 899 and bathe 7364 z8804 x853 his flesh 1320 in water, 4325 and afterward 310 x3651 come 935 z8799 into x413 the Campe. 4264

 16:27 And the bullocke 6499 for the sinne offering, 2403 and the goat 8163 for the sin offering, 2403 x853 whose x834 blood 1818 was brought in, 935 z8717 to make atonement 3722 z8763 in the holy 6944 place, shall one cary foorth 3318 z8686 without 2351 x413 x4480 the Campe, 4264 and they shal burne 8313 z8804 in the fire 784 x853 their skinnes 5785 and their flesh, 1320 and their doung. 6569

 16:28 And he that burneth 8313 z8802 them, shall wash 3526 z8762 his clothes, 899 and bathe 7364 z8804 x853 his flesh 1320 in water, 4325 and afterward 310 x3651 he shall come 935 z8799 into x413 the Campe. 4264

 16:29 ¶ And this shall be x1961 a statute 2708 for euer 5769 vnto you: that in the seuenth 7637 moneth, 2320 on the tenth 6218 day of the moneth, 2320 ye shall afflict 6031 z8762 x853 your soules, 5315 & doe 6213 z8799 no x3808 worke 4399 at all, x3605 whether it bee one of your owne countrey, 249 or a stranger 1616 that soiourneth 1481 z8802 among 8432 you.

 16:30 For x3588 on that x2088 day 3117 shal [the] Priest make an atonement 3722 z8762 for x5921 you, to cleanse 2891 z8763 you, [that] yee may bee cleane 2891 z8799 from all x4480 x3605 your sinnes 2403 before 6440 the LORD. 3068

 16:31 It x1931 [shall be] a Sabbath 7676 of rest 7677 vnto you, and ye shall afflict 6031 z8765 x853 your soules 5315 by a statute 2708 for euer. 5769

 16:32 And the Priest 3548 whom x834 he shall anoynt, 4886 z8799 and whom x834 he shall consecrate 4390 3027 z8762 x853 to minister in the Priests office 3547 z8763 in his fathers y1 stead, x8478 x1 shall make the atonement, 3722 z8765 and shal put on 3847 z8804 x853 the linnen 906 clothes, 899 euen the holy 6944 garments. 899

 16:33 And he shall make an atonement 3722 z8765 for x853 the holy 6944 Sanctuary, 4720 and hee shall make an atonement 3722 z8762 for the Tabernacle 168 of the Congregation, 4150 and for the Altar: 4196 and he shall make an atonement 3722 z8762 for x5921 the Priests, 3548 and for x5921 all x3605 the people 5971 of the Congregation. 6951

 16:34 And this x2063 shall be x1961 an euerlasting 5769 statute 2708 vnto you, to make an atonement 3722 z8763 for x5921 the children 1121 of Israel, 3478 for all x4480 x3605 their sinnes 2403 once 259 a yeere. 8141 And he did 6213 z8799 as x834 the LORD 3068 commanded 6680 z8765 x853 Moses. 4872
