Daniel 2

1 Nebuchadnezzar, forgetting his dream, requireth it of the Chaldeans, by promises and threatenings. 10 They acknowledging their inability are judged to die. 14 Daniel obtaining some respite findeth the dream. 19 He blesseth God. 24 He staying the decree is brought to the king. 31 The dream. 36 The interpretation. 46 Daniel's advancement.

 2:1 ¶ And in the second 8147 yeere 8141 of the reigne 4438 of Nebuchadnezzar, 5019 Nebuchad-nezzar 5019 dreamed 2492 z8804 dreames, 2472 wherewith his spirit 7307 was troubled, 6470 z8691 and his sleepe 8142 brake 1961 z8738 from x5921 him.

 2:2 Then the King 4428 commanded 559 z8799 to call 7121 z8800 the Magicians, 2748 and the Astrologers, 825 and the Sorcerers, 3784 z8764 and the Caldeans, 3778 for to shew 5046 z8687 the King 4428 his dreames: 2472 so they came 935 z8799 and stood 5975 z8799 before 6440 the king. 4428

 2:3 And the King 4428 said 559 z8799 vnto them, I haue dreamed 2492 z8804 a dreame, 2472 and my spirit 7307 was troubled 6470 z8735 to know 3045 z8800 x853 the dreame. 2472

 2:4 Then spake 1696 z8762 the Caldeans 3778 to the King 4428 in Syriacke; 762 O king, 4430 liue 2418 z8747 for euer: 5957 tell 560 z8747 thy seruants 5649 the dreame, 2493 and we will shew 2324 z8741 the interpretation. 6591

 2:5 The King 4430 answered, 6032 z8750 and said 560 z8750 to the Caldeans, 3779 The thing 4406 is gone 230 z8754 from x4481 mee: y4481 if 2006 ye will not 3809 make knowen 3046 z8681 vnto me the dreame, 2493 with the interpretation 6591 thereof, yee shall be cut 5648 z8725 in pieces, 1917 and your houses 1005 shalbe made 7761 z8725 a dunghill. 5122

 2:6 But if 2006 yee shewe 2324 z8681 the dreame, 2493 and the interpretation 6591 thereof, yee shall receiue 6902 z8741 of 4481 x6925 me y6925 giftes 4978 and rewards, 5023 and great 7690 honour: 3367 therefore 3861 shewe 2324 z8680 me the dreame, 2493 and the interpretation 6591 thereof.

 2:7 They answered 6032 z8754 againe, 8579 and said, 560 z8750 Let the King 4430 tell 560 z8748 his seruants 5649 the dreame, 2493 and we will shew 2324 z8681 the interpretation 6591 of it.

 2:8 The King 4430 answered, 6032 z8750 and said, 560 z8750 I 576 know 3046 z8751 of 4481 certeinty 3330 that x1768 ye 608 would gaine 2084 z8750 the time, 5732 because 6903 3606 x1768 ye see 2370 z8754 x1768 the thing 4406 is gone 230 z8754 from 4481 me.

 2:9 But x1768 if 2006 yee will not 3809 make knowen 3046 z8681 vnto me the dreame, 2493 [there is but] one 2298 y1932 decree 1882 for you: for ye haue prepared 2164 z8724 lying, 3538 and corrupt 7844 z8752 words 4406 to speake 560 z8749 before 6925 me, till 5705 x1768 the time 5732 be changed: 8133 z8721 therefore 3861 tell 560 z8747 me the dreame, 2493 and I shall know 3046 z8748 that 1768 yee can shewe 2324 z8681 mee the interpretation 6591 thereof.

 2:10 ¶ The Caldeans 3779 answered 6032 z8754 before 6925 the King, 4430 and said, 560 z8750 There is 383 not 3809 a man 606 vpon 5922 the earth 3007 that x1768 can 3202 z8748 shew 2324 z8682 the kings 4430 matter: 4406 therefore 6903 1768 x3606 there is no 3809 x3606 King, 4430 lord, 7229 nor ruler, 7990 that asked 7593 z8754 such y1836 things y4406 x1836 at any 3606 Magician, 2749 or Astrologer, 826 or Caldean. 3779

 2:11 And [it is] a rare 3358 thing 4406 that x1768 the king 4430 requireth, 7593 z8751 and there is 383 none 3809 other 321 that x1768 can shew 2324 z8741 it before 6925 the King, 4430 except 3861 the gods, 426 whose x1768 dwelling 4070 is 383 not 3809 with 5974 flesh. 1321

 2:12 For y6903 this y1836 cause 3606 x6903 x1836 the King 4430 was angry 1149 z8754 and very 7690 furious, 7108 z8754 and commanded 560 z8754 to destroy 7 z8682 all 3606 the wise 2445 men of Babylon. 895

 2:13 And the decree 1882 went foorth 5312 z8754 that the wise 2445 men should be slaine, 6992 z8726 and they sought 1156 z8754 Daniel 1841 and his fellowes 2269 to be slaine. 6992 z8723

 2:14 ¶ Then 116 Daniel 1841 answered 8421 z8684 with counsell 5843 and wisedome 2942 to Arioch 746 the captaine 7229 of 1768 the Kings 4430 guard, 2877 which x1768 was gone foorth 5312 z8754 to slay 6992 z8742 the wise 2445 men of Babylon. 895

 2:15 Hee answered 6032 z8750 and said 560 z8750 to Arioch 746 the Kings 4430 x1768 captaine, 7990 Why 4101 5922 is the decree 1882 so hastie 2685 z8683 from 4481 6925 the King? 4430 Then 116 Arioch 746 made the thing y4406 knowen 3046 z8684 x4406 to Daniel. 1841

 2:16 Then Daniel 1841 went in 5954 z8754 and desired 1156 z8754 of 4481 the King, 4430 that x1768 hee would giue 5415 z8748 him time, 2166 and that he would shew 2324 z8682 the king 4430 the interpretation. 6591

 2:17 Then 116 Daniel 1841 went 236 z8754 to his house, 1005 and made the thing y4406 knowen 3046 z8684 x4406 to Hananiah, 2608 Mishael, 4333 and Azariah 5839 his companions: 2269

 2:18 That they would desire 1156 z8749 mercies 7359 of 4481 6925 the God 426 of heauen 8065 concerning 5922 this 1836 secret, 7328 that x1768 Daniel 1841 and his fellowes 2269 should not 3809 perish 7 z8681 with 5974 the rest 7606 of the Wise 2445 men of Babylon. 895

 2:19 ¶ Then 116 was the secret 7328 reuealed 1541 z8752 vnto Daniel 1841 in a night 3916 x1768 vision: 2376 then 116 Daniel 1841 blessed 1289 z8745 the God 426 of heauen. 8065

 2:20 Daniel 1841 answered 6032 z8750 and said; 560 z8750 Blessed 1289 z8743 be 1934 z8748 the name 8036 of x1768 God 426 for y4481 euer y5957 and euer: 5705 5957 x4481 for x1768 wisedome 2452 and might 1370 are y1932 his:

 2:21 And he x1932 changeth 8133 z8683 the times 5732 and the seasons: 2166 he remoueth 5709 z8683 Kings, 4430 and setteth vp 6966 z8683 Kings: 4430 he giueth 3052 z8751 wisedome 2452 vnto the wise, 2445 and knowledge 4486 to them that know 3046 z8751 vnderstanding. 999

 2:22 He x1932 reuealeth 1541 z8751 the deepe 5994 and secret things: 5642 z8743 hee knoweth 3046 z8751 what 4101 [is] in the darknes, 2816 & the light 5094 dwelleth 8271 z8754 with x5974 him. y5974

 2:23 I 576 thanke 3029 z8683 thee and praise 7624 z8743 thee, O thou God 426 of my fathers, 2 who x1768 hast giuen 3052 z8754 me wisedome 2452 and might, 1370 and hast made knowen 3046 z8684 vnto me now 3705 what x1768 we desired 1156 z8754 of x4481 thee: y4481 for x1768 thou hast now made knowen 3046 z8684 vnto vs the kings 4430 matter. 4406

 2:24 ¶ Therefore 3606 6903 1836 Daniel 1841 went in 5954 z8754 vnto 5922 Arioch 746 whom x1768 the king 4430 had ordained 4483 z8745 to destroy 7 z8682 the wise 2445 men of Babylon: 895 he went 236 z8754 and said 560 z8754 thus 3652 vnto him, Destroy 7 z8681 not 409 the wise 2445 men of Babylon: 895 bring me in y5954 z8680 x5924 before 6925 the king, 4430 and I will shew 2324 z8741 vnto the king 4430 the interpretation. 6591

 2:25 Then 116 Arioch 746 brought in 5954 z8684 Daniel 1841 before 6925 the king 4430 in haste, 927 z8726 & said 560 z8754 thus 3652 vnto him, I haue found 7912 z8684 a man 1400 of x4481 the captiues 1123 1547 of y4481 x1768 Iudah, 3061 that x1768 will make knowen 3046 z8681 vnto the king 4430 the interpretation. 6591

 2:26 The King 4430 answered 6032 z8750 and said 560 z8750 to Daniel 1841 whose x1768 name 8036 [was] Belteshazzar, 1096 Art 383 thou able 3546 z8751 to make knowen 3046 z8682 vnto me the dreame 2493 which x1768 I haue seene, 2370 z8754 and the interpretation 6591 thereof?

 2:27 Daniel 1841 answered 6032 z8750 in the presence y6925 of x6925 the King, 4430 and said, 560 z8750 The secret 7328 which x1768 the King 4430 hath demanded, 7593 z8751 cannot 3202 3809 z8750 the wise 2445 men, the astrologians, 826 the magicians, 2749 ye southsaiers 1505 z8750 shew 2324 z8682 vnto the king: 4430

 2:28 But 1297 there is 383 a God 426 in heauen 8065 that reuealeth 1541 z8751 secrets, 7328 and maketh knowen 3046 z8684 to the king 4430 Nebuchad-nezzar, 5020 what 4101 x1768 shalbe 1934 z8748 in the latter 320 dayes. 3118 Thy dreame, 2493 and the visions 2376 of thy head 7217 vpon 5922 thy bed, 4903 are these. 1836

 2:29 As for thee, 607 O King, 4430 thy thoughts 7476 came 5559 z8760 into [thy minde] vpon 5922 thy bed, 4903 what 4101 x1768 should come to passe 1934 z8748 hereafter: 311 1836 and he that reuealeth 1541 z8751 secrets, 7328 maketh knowen 3046 z8684 to thee, what 4101 x1768 shall come to passe. 1934 z8748

 2:30 But as for me, 576 this 1836 secret 7328 is not 3809 reuealed 1541 z8752 to me, for any wisdome 2452 that x1768 I haue 383 more then 4481 any 3606 liuing, 2417 but 3861 for [their] sakes 1701 x5922 that y5922 x1768 shall make knowen 3046 z8681 the interpretation 6591 to the King, 4430 and that thou mightest know 3046 z8748 the thoughts 7476 of thy heart. 3825

 2:31 ¶ Thou, 607 O King, 4430 sawest, 1934 2370 z8754 z8751 and behold 431 a x2298 great 7690 y2298 image: 6755 this 1797 great 7229 image 6755 whose brightnesse 2122 was excelleut, 3493 stood 6966 z8750 before 6903 thee, and the forme 7299 thereof [was] terrible. 1763 z8753

 2:32 This x1932 images 6755 head 7217 was of x1768 fine 2869 gold, 1722 his breast 2306 and his armes 1872 of x1768 siluer, 3702 his belly 4577 and his thighes 3410 of x1768 brasse: 5174

 2:33 His legs 8243 of x1768 yron, 6523 his feete 7271 part 4481 of x1768 yron, 6523 and part 4481 of x1768 clay. 2635

 2:34 Thou sawest 2370 1934 z8751 z8754 till 5705 that x1768 a stone 69 was cut out 1505 z8728 without 3809 x1768 hands, 3028 which smote 4223 z8754 the image 6755 vpon 5922 his feete 7271 that [were] of x1768 yron 6523 and clay, 2635 and brake y1855 z0 them y1994 to pieces. 1855 z8684 x1994

 2:35 Then 116 was the yron, 6523 the clay, 2635 the brasse, 5174 the siluer, 3702 and the golde 1722 broken to pieces 1751 z8754 y1855 z8676 together, 2298 and became 1934 z8754 like the chaffe 5784 of 4481 the summer 7007 threshing floores, 147 and the wind 7308 caried y5376 z0 them y1994 away, 5376 z8754 x1994 that y3606 no 3809 x3606 place 870 was found 7912 z8728 for them: & the stone 69 that x1768 smote 4223 z8754 the image 6755 became 1934 z8754 a great 7229 mountaine, 2906 and filled 4391 z8754 the whole 3606 earth. 772

 2:36 ¶ This 1836 [is] the dreame, 2493 and we will tell 560 z8748 the interpretation 6591 [thereof] before 6925 the King. 4430

 2:37 Thou, 607 O King, 4430 [art] a king 4430 of Kings: 4430 for x1768 the God 426 of heauen 8065 hath giuen 3052 z8754 thee a kingdome, 4437 power, 2632 and strength, 8632 and glory. 3367

 2:38 And wheresoeuer 3606 x1768 the children 1123 of men 606 dwel, 1753 z8748 the beasts 2423 of the field, 1251 and the foules 5776 of the heauen 8065 hath he giuen 3052 z8754 into thine hand, 3028 and hath made thee ruler 7981 z8684 ouer them all: 3606 thou 607 [art] this x1932 head 7217 of x1768 gold. 1722

 2:39 And after 870 thee shall arise 6966 z8748 an other 317 kingdome 4437 inferiour 772 to x4481 thee, y4481 and another 317 third 8523 kingdome 4437 of x1768 brasse, 5174 which x1768 shall beare rule 7981 z8748 ouer all 3606 the earth. 772

 2:40 And the fourth 7244 kingdome 4437 shall be 1934 z8748 strong 8624 as yron: 6523 forasmuch as x3606 x6903 x1768 yron 6523 breaketh in pieces 1855 z8683 and subdueth 2827 z8751 all 3606 things; and as y6903 yron 6523 that x1768 breaketh 7490 z8750 all 3606 these, 459 shall it breake in pieces 1855 z8681 and bruise. 7490 z8748

 2:41 And whereas x1768 thou sawest 2370 z8754 the feete 7271 and toes, 677 part 4481 of x1768 potters 6353 clay, 2635 and part 4481 of yron: 6523 the kingdome 4437 shalbe 1934 z8748 diuided, 6386 z8752 but y4481 z0 there shalbe 1934 z8748 in it of 4481 the strength 5326 of x1768 the yron, 6523 forasmuch as 3606 6903 x1768 thou sawest 2370 z8754 the yron 6523 mixt 6151 z8743 with myrie 2917 clay. 2635

 2:42 And [as] the toes 677 of the feete 7271 [were] part 4481 of yron, 6523 and part 4481 of clay; 2635 [so] the kingdome 4437 shall be 1934 z8748 partly 4481 7118 strong, 8624 and partly 4481 y7118 broken. 8406 z8750

 2:43 And whereas 1768 thou sawest 2370 z8754 yron 6523 mixt 6151 z8743 with myrie 2917 clay, 2635 they shall x1934 mingle themselues 6151 y1934 z8748 z8723 with the seede 2234 of men: 606 but they shall 1934 z8748 not 3809 cleaue 1693 z8751 one 1836 to 5974 an other, 1836 euen y1888 as x1888 x1768 yron 6523 is not 3809 mixed 6151 z8723 with x5974 clay. 2635

 2:44 And in the daies 3118 of x1768 these 581 Kings 4430 shall the God 426 of heauen 8065 set vp 6966 z8681 a kingdome, 4437 which x1768 shall neuer 5957 3809 be destroyed: 2255 z8721 and the Kingdome 4437 shall not 3809 be left 7662 z8721 to other 321 people, 5972 [but] it shall breake in pieces, 1855 z8681 and consume 5487 z8681 all 3606 these 459 kingdomes, 4437 and it 1932 shall stand 6966 z8748 for euer. 5957

 2:45 Forasmuch as 3606 6903 x1768 thou sawest 2370 z8754 that x1768 the stone 69 was cut out 1505 z8728 of the mountaine 2906 x4481 without 3809 x1768 hands, 3028 and that it brake in pieces 1855 z8684 the yron, 6523 the brasse, 5174 the clay, 2635 the siluer, 3702 and the gold: 1722 the great 7229 God 426 hath made knowen 3046 z8684 to the King 4430 what 4101 x1768 shall come to passe 1934 z8748 hereafter, 311 1836 & the dreame 2493 [is] certaine, 3330 and the interpretation 6591 thereof sure. 540 z8683

 2:46 ¶ Then 116 the King 4430 Nebuchadnezzar 5020 fell 5308 z8754 vpon 5922 his face, 600 and worshipped 5457 z8754 Daniel, 1841 and commanded 560 z8754 that they should offer 5260 z8742 an oblation, y4504 x4061 and sweet odours 5208 vnto him.

 2:47 The King 4430 answered 6032 z8750 vnto Daniel 1841 and said, 560 z8750 Of 4481 a trueth 7187 [it is], that 1768 your God 426 is a God 426 of gods, 426 and a Lord 4756 of Kings, 4430 and a reuealer 1541 z8751 of secrets, 7328 seeing x1768 thou couldest 3202 z8754 reueale 1541 z8749 this 1836 secret. 7328

 2:48 Then 116 the King 4430 made y7236 z0 Daniel y1841 a great man, 7236 z8745 x1841 and gaue 3052 z8754 him many 7690 great 7260 gifts, 4978 & made him ruler 7981 z8684 ouer 5922 the whole 3606 prouince 4083 of Babylon, 895 and chiefe 7229 of the gouernours 5460 ouer 5922 all 3606 the wise 2445 men of Babylon. 895

 2:49 Then Daniel 1841 requested 1156 z8754 of 4481 the King, 4430 and he set 4483 z8745 Shadrach, 7715 Meshach, 4336 and Abednego 5665 ouer 5922 the affaires 5673 of x1768 the prouince 4083 of Babylon: 895 but Daniel 1841 [sate] in the gate 8651 of the King. 4430
