1 Jesus on the Sabbath day cureth him that was diseased eight and thirty years. 10 The Jews therefore cavil, and persecute him for it. 17 He answereth for himself, and reproveth them, shewing by the testimony of his Father, 32 of John, 36 of his works, 39 and of the Scriptures, who he is.

 5:1 ¶ After 3326 this 5023 there was 2258 z5713 a feast 1859 of the x3588 Jews; 2453 and 2532 Jesus 2424 went up 305 z5627 to 1519 Jerusalem. 2414

 5:2 Now 1161 there is 2076 z5748 at 1722 Jerusalem 2414 by 1909 the x3588 sheep 4262 [market] a pool, 2861 which y3588 is called 1951 z5746 in the Hebrew tongue 1447 Bethesda, 964 having 2192 z5723 five 4002 porches. 4745

 5:3 In 1722 these 5025 lay 2621 z5711 a great 4183 multitude 4128 of impotent folk, 770 z5723 of blind, 5185 halt, 5560 withered, 3584 waiting for 1551 z5740 the x3588 moving 2796 of the x3588 water. 5204

 5:4 For 1063 an angel 32 went down 2597 z5707 at y2596 a certain season 2540 x2596 into 1722 the x3588 pool, 2861 and 2532 troubled 5015 z5707 the x3588 water: 5204 whosoever then 3767 first 4413 after 3326 the x3588 troubling 5016 of the x3588 water 5204 stepped in 1684 z5631 was made 1096 z5711 whole 5199 of y3739 whatsoever 1221 x3739 disease 3553 he had. 2722 z5712

 5:5 And 1161 a certain 5100 man 444 was 2258 z5713 there, 1563 which had 2192 z5723 an x1722 infirmity 769 y1722 thirty y5144 and eight 3638 x5144 years. 2094

 5:6 When Jesus 2424 saw 1492 z5631 him 5126 lie, 2621 z5740 and 2532 knew 1097 z5631 that 3754 he had been 2192 z5719 now 2235 a long 4183 time 5550 [in that case], he saith 3004 z5719 unto him, 846 Wilt x2309 thou y2309 z5719 be made 1096 z5635 whole? 5199

 5:7 The x3588 impotent man 770 z5723 answered 611 z5662 him, 846 Sir, 2962 I have 2192 z5719 no 3756 man, 444 x2443 when 3752 the x3588 water 5204 is troubled, 5015 z5686 to y2443 put 906 z5725 me 3165 into 1519 the x3588 pool: 2861 but 1161 while 1722 3739 I 1473 am coming, 2064 z5736 another 243 steppeth down 2597 z5719 before 4253 me. 1700

 5:8 Jesus 2424 saith 3004 z5719 unto him, 846 Rise, 1453 z5669 take up 142 z5657 thy 4675 bed, 2895 and 2532 walk. 4043 z5720

 5:10 ¶ The x3588 Jews 2453 therefore 3767 said 3004 z5707 unto him that was cured, 2323 z5772 It is 2076 z5748 the sabbath day: 4521 it is y1832 z0 not y3756 lawful 1832 z5748 x3756 for thee 4671 to carry 142 z5658 [thy] bed. 2895

 5:13 And 1161 he that was healed 2390 z5685 wist 1492 z5715 not 3756 who 5101 it was: 2076 z5748 for 1063 Jesus 2424 had conveyed himself away, 1593 z5656 a multitude 3793 being 5607 z5752 in 1722 [that] place. 5117

 5:14 Afterward 3326 5023 Jesus 2424 findeth 2147 z5719 him 846 in 1722 the x3588 temple, 2411 and 2532 said 2036 z5627 unto him, 846 Behold, 2396 thou art made 1096 z5754 whole: 5199 sin 264 z5720 no more, 3371 lest 3363 a worse x5501 thing 5100 y5501 come 1096 z5638 unto thee. 4671

 5:15 The x3588 man 444 departed, 565 z5627 and 2532 told 312 z5656 the x3588 Jews 2453 that 3754 it was 2076 z5748 Jesus, 2424 which y3588 had made y4160 z5660 x4100 him 846 whole. 5199

 5:16 And 2532 therefore 1223 5124 did y1377 z0 the x3588 Jews 2453 persecute 1377 z5707 Jesus, 2424 and 2532 sought 2212 z5707 to slay 615 z5658 him, 846 because 3754 he had done 4160 z5707 these things 5023 on 1722 the sabbath day. 4521

 5:17 ¶ But 1161 Jesus 2424 answered 611 z5662 them, 846 My 3450 Father 3962 worketh 2038 z5736 hitherto, 2193 737 and I 2504 work. 2038 z5736

 5:21 For 1063 as 5618 the x3588 Father 3962 raiseth up 1453 z5719 the x3588 dead, 3498 and 2532 quickeneth 2227 z5719 [them]; even y2532 so 3779 the x3588 Son 5207 x2532 quickeneth 2227 z5719 whom 3739 he will. 2309 z5719

 5:22 For 1063 3761 the x3588 Father 3962 judgeth 2919 z5719 no man, 3762 but 235 hath committed 1325 z5758 all 3956 judgment 2920 unto the x3588 Son: 5207

 5:23 That 2443 all 3956 [men] should honor 5091 z5725 the x3588 Son, 5207 even as 2531 they honor 5091 z5719 the x3588 Father. 3962 He that honoreth 5091 z5723 not 3361 the x3588 Son 5207 honoreth 5091 z5719 not 3756 the x3588 Father 3962 which y3588 hath sent 3992 z5660 him. 846

 5:24 Verily, 281 verily, 281 I say 3004 z5719 unto you, 5213 3754 He that heareth 191 z5723 my 3450 word, 3056 and 2532 believeth 4100 z5723 on him that sent 3992 z5660 me, 3165 hath 2192 z5719 everlasting 166 life, 2222 and 2532 shall y2064 z0 not 3756 come 2064 z5736 into 1519 condemnation; 2920 but 235 is passed 3327 z5758 from 1537 death 2288 unto 1519 life. 2222

 5:25 Verily, 281 verily, 281 I say 3004 z5719 unto you, 5213 y3754 The x3754 hour 5610 is coming, 2064 z5736 and 2532 now 3568 is, 2076 z5748 when 3753 the x3588 dead 3498 shall hear 191 z5695 the x3588 voice 5456 of the x3588 Son 5207 of God: 2316 and 2532 they that hear 191 z5660 shall live. 2198 z5695

 5:27 And 2532 hath given 1325 z5656 him 846 authority 1849 to execute 4160 z5721 judgment 2920 also, 2532 because 3754 he is 2076 z5748 the Son 5207 of man. 444

 5:28 Marvel 2296 z5720 not 3361 at this: 5124 for 3754 the hour 5610 is coming, 2064 z5736 in 1722 the which 3739 all 3956 that x3588 are in 1722 the x3588 graves 3419 shall hear 191 z5695 his 846 voice, 5456

 5:29 And 2532 shall come forth; 1607 z5695 they that have done 4160 z5660 good, 18 unto 1519 the resurrection 386 of life; 2222 and 1161 they that have done 4238 z5660 evil, 5337 unto 1519 the resurrection 386 of damnation. 2920

 5:31 If 1437 I 1473 bear witness 3140 z5725 of 4012 myself, 1683 my 3450 witness 3141 is 2076 z5748 not 3756 true. 227

 5:32 ¶ There is 2076 z5748 another 243 that beareth witness 3140 z5723 of 4012 me; 1700 and 2532 I know 1492 z5758 that 3754 the x3588 witness 3141 which 3739 he witnesseth 3140 z5719 of 4012 me 1700 is 2076 z5748 true. 227

 5:33 Ye 5210 sent 649 z5758 unto 4314 John, 2491 and 2532 he bare witness 3140 z5758 unto the x3588 truth. 225

 5:34 But 1161 I 1473 receive 2983 z5719 not 3756 testimony 3141 from 3844 man: 444 but 235 these things 5023 I say, 3004 z5719 that 2443 ye 5210 might be saved. 4982 z5686

 5:35 He 1565 was 2258 z5713 a burning 2545 z5746 and 2532 a shining 5316 z5723 light: 3088 and 1161 ye 5210 were willing 2309 z5656 for 4314 a season 5610 to rejoice 21 z5677 in 1722 his 846 light. 5457

 5:36 ¶ But 1161 I 1473 have 2192 z5719 greater 3187 witness 3141 than [that] of John: 2491 for 1063 the x3588 works 2041 which 3739 the x3588 Father 3962 hath given 1325 z5656 me 3427 to 2443 finish, 5048 z5661 y846 the x846 same 846 works 2041 that 3739 I 1473 do, 4160 z5719 bear witness 3140 z5719 of 4012 me, 1700 that 3754 the x3588 Father 3962 hath sent 649 z5758 me. 3165

 5:45 Do y1380 z0 not 3361 think 1380 z5720 that 3754 I 1473 will accuse 2723 z5692 you 5216 to 4314 the x3588 Father: 3962 there is 2076 z5748 [one] that accuseth 2723 z5723 you, 5216 [even] Moses, 3475 in 1519 whom 3739 ye 5210 trust. 1679 z5758
