Genesis 11

1 One language in the world. 3 The building of Babel. 6 The confusion of tongues. 10 The generations of Shem. 27 The generations of Terah the father of Abram. 31 Terah goeth from Ur to Haran.

 11:1 ¶ And the whole x3605 earth 776 was x1961 of one 259 language, 8193 and of one 259 speech. 1697

 11:2 And it came to pass, x1961 as they journeyed 5265 z8800 from the east, 6924 x4480 that they found 4672 z8799 a plain 1237 in the land 776 of Shinar; 8152 and they dwelt 3427 z8799 there. x8033

 11:3 And they said 559 z8799 one 376 to x413 another, 7453 Go to, 3051 z8798 let us make 3835 z8799 brick, 3843 and burn 8313 z8799 them throughly. 8316 And they had x1961 brick 3843 for stone, 68 and slime 2564 had 1961 z8804 they for mortar. 2563

 11:4 And they said, 559 z8799 Go to, 3051 z8798 let us build 1129 z8799 us a city 5892 and a tower, 4026 whose top 7218 [may reach] unto heaven; 8064 and let us make 6213 z8799 us a name, 8034 lest x6435 we be scattered abroad 6327 z8799 upon x5921 the face 6440 of the whole x3605 earth. 776

 11:5 And the LORD 3068 came down 3381 z8799 to see 7200 z8800 x853 the city 5892 and the tower, 4026 which x834 the children 1121 of men 120 built. 1129 z8804

 11:8 So the LORD 3068 scattered them abroad 6327 z8686 x853 from thence 8033 x4480 upon x5921 the face 6440 of all x3605 the earth: 776 and they left off 2308 z8799 to build 1129 z8800 the city. 5892

 11:9 Therefore x5921 x3651 is the name x8034 of it y8034 called 7121 z8804 Babel; 894 because x3588 the LORD 3068 did there x8033 confound 1101 z8804 the language 8193 of all x3605 the earth: 776 and from thence x4480 x8033 did y6327 z0 the LORD 3068 scatter them abroad 6327 z8689 upon x5921 the face 6440 of all x3605 the earth. 776

 11:25 And Nahor 5152 lived 2421 z8799 after 310 he begot 3205 z8687 x853 Terah 8646 a hundred 3967 y8141 and nineteen 6240 8672 years, 8141 and begot 3205 z8686 sons 1121 and daughters. 1323

 11:26 And Terah 8646 lived 2421 z8799 seventy 7657 years, 8141 and begot 3205 z8686 x853 Abram, 87 x853 Nahor, 5152 and Haran. 2039

 11:27 ¶ Now these x428 [are] the generations 8435 of Terah: 8646 Terah 8646 begot 3205 z8689 x853 Abram, 87 x853 Nahor, 5152 and Haran; 2039 and Haran 2039 begot 3205 z8689 x853 Lot. 3876

 11:28 And Haran 2039 died 4191 z8799 before 6440 x5921 his father 1 Terah 8646 in the land 776 of his nativity, 4138 in Ur 218 of the Chaldees. 3778

 11:29 And Abram 87 and Nahor 5152 took 3947 z8799 them wives: 802 the name 8034 of Abram's 87 wife 802 [was] Sarai; 8297 and the name 8034 of Nahor's 5152 wife, 802 Milcah, 4435 the daughter 1323 of Haran, 2039 the father 1 of Milcah, 4435 and the father 1 of Iscah. 3252

 11:30 But Sarai 8297 was x1961 barren; 6135 she [had] no x369 child. 2056

 11:31 And Terah 8646 took 3947 z8799 x853 Abram 87 his son, 1121 and Lot 3876 the son 1121 of Haran 2039 his son's 1121 son, 1121 and Sarai 8297 his daughter-in-law, 3618 his son 1121 Abram's 87 wife; 802 and they went forth 3318 z8799 with x854 them from Ur 218 x4480 of the Chaldees, 3778 to go y3212 z8800 x1980 into the land 776 of Canaan; 3667 and they came 935 z8799 unto x5704 Haran, 2771 and dwelt 3427 z8799 there. x8033
