2 Samuel 7

1 Nathan first approving the purpose of David to build God an house, 4 after by the Word of God forbiddeth him. 12 He promiseth him benefits and blessings in his seed. 18 David's prayer and thanksgiving.

 7:1 ¶ And it came to pass, x1961 when x3588 the king 4428 sat 3427 z8804 in his house, 1004 and the LORD 3068 had given him rest 5117 z8689 round about 5439 x4480 from all x4480 x3605 his enemies; 341 z8802

 7:2 That the king 4428 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Nathan 5416 the prophet, 5030 See 7200 z8798 now, x4994 I x595 dwell 3427 z8802 in a house 1004 of cedar, 730 but the ark 727 of God 430 dwelleth 3427 z8802 within 8432 curtains. 3407

 7:3 And Nathan 5416 said 559 z8799 to x413 the king, 4428 Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 do 6213 z8798 all x3605 that x834 [is] in thine heart; 3824 for x3588 the LORD 3068 [is] with x5973 thee.

 7:4 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 that x1931 night, 3915 that the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came x1961 unto x413 Nathan, 5416 saying, 559 z8800

 7:5 Go y3212 z8798 x1980 and tell 559 z8804 x413 my servant 5650 David, 1732 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 Shalt thou x859 build 1129 z8799 me a house 1004 for me to dwell x3427 in? y3427 z8800

 7:6 Whereas x3588 I have not x3808 dwelt 3427 z8804 in [any] house 1004 since the time 3117 x4480 that I brought up 5927 z8687 x853 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 out of Egypt, 4714 x4480 even to x5704 this x2088 day, 3117 but have x1961 walked 1980 z8693 in a tent 168 and in a tabernacle. 4908

 7:7 In all x3605 [the places] wherein x834 I have walked 1980 z8694 with all x3605 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 spoke 1696 z8765 I a word 1697 with x854 any 259 of the tribes 7626 of Israel, 3478 whom x834 I commanded 6680 z8765 to feed 7462 z8800 x853 my people 5971 x853 Israel, 3478 saying, 559 z8800 Why x4100 build 1129 z8804 ye not x3808 me a house 1004 of cedar? 730

 7:8 Now x6258 therefore x3541 so shalt thou say 559 z8799 unto my servant 5650 David, 1732 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 I x589 took 3947 z8804 thee from x4480 the sheepcote, 5116 from following 310 x4480 the sheep, 6629 to be x1961 ruler 5057 over x5921 my people, 5971 over x5921 Israel: 3478

 7:9 And I was x1961 with x5973 thee whithersoever x3605 x834 thou wentest, 1980 z8804 and have cut off 3772 z8686 x853 all x3605 thine enemies 341 z8802 out of thy sight, 6440 x4480 and have made 6213 z8804 thee a great 1419 name, 8034 like unto the name 8034 of the great 1419 [men] that x834 [are] in the earth. 776

 7:10 Moreover I will appoint 7760 z8804 a place 4725 for my people 5971 Israel, 3478 and will plant 5193 z8804 them, that they may dwell 7931 z8804 in a place x8478 of their own, and move 7264 z8799 no x3808 more; x5750 neither x3808 shall the children 1121 of wickedness 5766 afflict 6031 z8763 them any more, 3254 z8686 as x834 formerly, 7223

 7:11 And as since x4480 the time 3117 that x834 I commanded 6680 z8765 judges 8199 z8802 [to be] over x5921 my people 5971 Israel, 3478 and have caused thee to rest 5117 z8689 from all x4480 x3605 thine enemies. 341 z8802 Also the LORD 3068 telleth 5046 z8689 thee that x3588 he will make 6213 z8799 thee a house. 1004

 7:12 ¶ And when x3588 thy days 3117 be fulfilled, 4390 z8799 and thou shalt sleep 7901 z8804 with x854 thy fathers, 1 I will set up 6965 z8689 x853 thy seed 2233 after 310 thee, which x834 shall proceed 3318 z8799 out of thy bowels, 4578 x4480 and I will establish 3559 z8689 x853 his kingdom. 4467

 7:13 He x1931 shall build 1129 z8799 a house 1004 for my name, 8034 and I will establish 3559 z8790 x853 the throne 3678 of his kingdom 4467 forever. 5769 5704

 7:14 I x589 will be x1961 his father, 1 and he x1931 shall be x1961 my son. 1121 If x834 he commit iniquity, 5753 z8687 I will chasten 3198 z8689 him with the rod 7626 of men, y582 x376 and with the stripes 5061 of the children 1121 of men: 120

 7:15 But my mercy 2617 shall not x3808 depart away 5493 z8799 from x4480 him, as x834 I took 5493 z8689 [it] from x4480 x5973 Saul, 7586 whom x834 I put away 5493 z8689 before 6440 x4480 thee.

 7:16 And thine house 1004 and thy kingdom 4467 shall be established 539 z8738 forever 5704 5769 x6440 before y6440 thee: thy throne 3678 shall be x1961 established 3559 z8737 forever. 5769 5704

 7:17 According to all x3605 these x428 words, 1697 and according to all x3605 this x2088 vision, 2384 so x3651 did Nathan 5416 speak 1696 z8765 unto x413 David. 1732

 7:18 ¶ Then went 935 z8799 king 4428 David 1732 in, and sat 3427 z8799 before 6440 the LORD, y3068 x3069 and he said, 559 z8799 Who x4310 [am] I, x595 O Lord 136 GOD? 3069 and what x4310 [is] my house, 1004 that x3588 thou hast brought 935 z8689 me hitherto? 1988 x5704

 7:19 And this x2063 was yet x5750 a small x6994 thing y6994 z8799 in thy sight, 5869 O Lord 136 GOD; 3069 but thou hast spoken 1696 z8762 also x1571 of x413 thy servant's 5650 house 1004 for a great while to come. 7350 x4480 And [is] this x2063 the manner 8452 of man, 120 O Lord 136 GOD? 3069

 7:20 And what x4100 can y3254 z0 David 1732 say 1696 z8763 x3254 more y3254 z8686 x5750 unto x413 thee? for thou, x859 Lord 136 GOD, 3069 knowest 3045 z8804 x853 thy servant. 5650

 7:21 For thy word's y1697 sake, x5668 x1697 and according to thine own heart, 3820 hast thou done 6213 z8804 x853 all x3605 these x2063 great things, 1420 to make x853 thy servant 5650 know 3045 z8687 [them].

 7:22 Wherefore x5921 x3651 thou art great, 1431 z8804 O LORD 3068 God: y430 x136 for x3588 [there is] none x369 like thee, x3644 neither x369 [is there any] God 430 beside 2108 thee, according to all x3605 that x834 we have heard 8085 z8804 with our ears. 241

 7:23 And what x4310 one 259 nation 1471 in the earth 776 [is] like thy people, 5971 [even] like Israel, 3478 whom x834 God 430 went 1980 z8804 to redeem 6299 z8800 for a people 5971 to himself, and to make 7760 z8800 him a name, 8034 and to do 6213 z8800 for you great x1420 things y1420 and terrible, 3372 z8737 for thy land, 776 before 6440 x4480 thy people, 5971 which x834 thou redeemedst 6299 z8804 to thee from Egypt, 4714 x4480 [from] the nations 1471 and their gods? 430

 7:24 For thou hast confirmed 3559 z8787 to thyself x853 thy people 5971 Israel 3478 [to be] a people 5971 unto thee forever: 5769 5704 and thou, x859 LORD, 3068 art become 1961 z8804 their God. 430

 7:25 And now, x6258 O LORD 3068 God, 430 the word 1697 that x834 thou hast spoken 1696 z8765 concerning x5921 thy servant, 5650 and concerning x5921 his house, 1004 establish 6965 z8685 [it], forever, 5769 5704 and do 6213 z8798 as x834 thou hast said. 1696 z8765

 7:26 And let thy name 8034 be magnified 1431 z8799 forever, 5769 5704 saying, 559 z8800 The LORD 3068 of hosts 6635 [is] the God 430 over x5921 Israel: 3478 and let the house 1004 of thy servant 5650 David 1732 be x1961 established 3559 z8737 before 6440 thee.

 7:27 For x3588 thou, x859 O LORD 3068 of hosts, 6635 God 430 of Israel, 3478 hast revealed 1540 241 z8804 to thy servant, 5650 saying, 559 z8800 I will build 1129 z8799 thee a house: 1004 therefore x5921 x3651 hath thy servant 5650 found 4672 z8804 in x853 his heart 3820 to pray 6419 z8692 x853 this x2063 prayer 8605 unto x413 thee.

 7:28 And now, x6258 O Lord 136 GOD, 3069 thou x859 [art] that x1931 God, 430 and thy words 1697 be x1961 true, 571 and thou hast promised 1696 z8762 x853 this x2063 goodness 2896 unto x413 thy servant: 5650

 7:29 Therefore now x6258 let it please y2974 z8685 x2794 thee to bless 1288 z8761 x853 the house 1004 of thy servant, 5650 that it may continue x1961 forever 5769 before 6440 thee: for x3588 thou, x859 O Lord 136 GOD, 3069 hast spoken 1696 z8765 [it]: and with thy blessing 1293 x4480 let the house 1004 of thy servant 5650 be blessed 1288 z8792 forever. 5769
