2 Kings 4

1 Elisha multiplieth the widow's oil. 8 He giveth a son to the good Shunammite. 18 He raiseth again her dead son. 38 At Gilgal he healeth the deadly pottage. 42 He satisfieth an hundred men with twenty loaves.

 4:1 ¶ Now there cried 6817 z8804 a certain 259 woman 802 of the wives 802 x4480 of the sons 1121 of the prophets 5030 unto x413 Elisha, 477 saying, 559 z8800 Thy servant 5650 my husband 376 is dead; 4191 z8804 and thou x859 knowest 3045 z8804 that x3588 thy servant 5650 did x1961 fear y3373 x3372 x853 the LORD: 3068 and the creditor 5383 z8802 is come 935 z8804 to take 3947 z8800 unto him x853 my two 8147 sons 3206 to be bondmen. 5650

 4:2 And Elisha 477 said 559 z8799 unto x413 her, What x4100 shall I do 6213 z8799 for thee? tell 5046 z8685 me, what x4100 hast 3426 thou in the house? 1004 And she said, 559 z8799 Thine handmaid 8198 hath not x369 any thing x3605 in the house, 1004 save x3588 x518 a pot 610 of oil. 8081

 4:3 Then he said, 559 z8799 Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 borrow 7592 z8798 thee vessels 3627 abroad 2351 x4480 of x4480 x854 all x3605 thy neighbors, 7934 [even] empty 7386 vessels; 3627 borrow not a few. 4591 z8686 x408

 4:4 And when thou art come in, 935 z8804 thou shalt shut 5462 z8804 the door 1817 upon x1157 thee and upon x1157 thy sons, 1121 and shalt pour out 3332 z8804 into x5921 all x3605 those x428 vessels, 3627 and thou shalt set aside 5265 z8686 that which is full. 4392

 4:5 So she went y3212 z8799 x1980 from x4480 x854 him, and shut 5462 z8799 the door 1817 upon x1157 her and upon 1157 her sons, 1121 who 1992 brought 5066 z8688 [the vessels] to x413 her; and she x1931 poured out. 3332 z8716

 4:6 And it came to pass, x1961 when the vessels 3627 were full, 4390 z8800 that she said 559 z8799 unto x413 her son, 1121 Bring 5066 z8685 x413 me yet x5750 a vessel. 3627 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 her, [There is] not x369 a vessel 3627 more. x5750 And the oil 8081 stayed. 5975 z8799

 4:7 Then she came 935 z8799 and told 5046 z8686 the man 376 of God. 430 And he said, 559 z8799 Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 sell 4376 z8798 x853 the oil, 8081 and pay 7999 z8761 x853 thy debt, 5386 and live 2421 z8799 thou x859 and thy children 1121 of the rest. 3498 z8737

 4:8 ¶ And it fell x1961 on a day, 3117 that Elisha 477 passed 5674 z8799 to x413 Shunem, 7766 where x8033 [was] a great 1419 woman; 802 and she constrained 2388 z8686 him to eat 398 z8800 bread. 3899 And [so] it was, x1961 [that] as oft 1767 x4480 as he passed by, 5674 z8800 he turned y5493 z8799 in x5493 thither x8033 to eat 398 z8800 bread. 3899

 4:9 And she said 559 z8799 unto x413 her husband, 376 Behold x2009 now, x4994 I perceive 3045 z8804 that x3588 this x1931 [is] a holy 6918 man 376 of God, 430 which passeth y5674 z8802 by x5674 x5921 us continually. 8548

 4:10 Let us make 6213 z8799 a little 6996 chamber, 5944 I pray thee, x4994 on the wall; 7023 and let us set 7760 z8799 for him there x8033 a bed, 4296 and a table, 7979 and a stool, 3678 and a candlestick: 4501 and it shall be, x1961 when he cometh 935 z8800 to x413 us, that he shall turn y5493 z8799 in x5493 thither. x8033

 4:11 And it fell x1961 on a day, 3117 that he came 935 z8799 thither, x8033 and he turned 5493 z8799 into x413 the chamber, 5944 and lay 7901 z8799 there. x8033

 4:12 And he said 559 z8799 to x413 Gehazi 1522 his servant, 5288 Call 7121 z8798 this x2063 Shunammite. 7767 And when he had called 7121 z8799 her, she stood 5975 z8799 before 6440 him.

 4:13 And he said 559 z8799 unto him, Say 559 z8798 now x4994 unto x413 her, Behold, x2009 thou hast been careful 2729 z8804 for x413 us with x854 all x3605 this x2063 care; 2731 what x4100 [is] to be done 6213 z8800 for thee? wouldest 3426 thou be spoken 1696 z8763 for to x413 the king, 4428 or x176 to x413 the captain 8269 of the host? 6635 And she answered, 559 z8799 I x595 dwell 3427 z8802 among 8432 mine own people. 5971

 4:14 And he said, 559 z8799 What x4100 then [is] to be done 6213 z8800 for her? And Gehazi 1522 answered, 559 z8799 Verily 61 she hath no x369 child, 1121 and her husband 376 is old. 2204 z8804

 4:15 And he said, 559 z8799 Call 7121 z8798 her. And when he had called 7121 z8799 her, she stood 5975 z8799 in the door. 6607

 4:16 And he said, 559 z8799 About this x2088 season, 4150 according to the time 6256 of life, 2416 thou x859 shalt embrace 2263 z8802 a son. 1121 And she said, 559 z8799 Nay, x408 my lord, 113 [thou] man 376 of God, 430 do not lie 3576 z8762 x408 unto thine handmaid. 8198

 4:17 And the woman 802 conceived, 2029 z8799 and bore 3205 z8799 a son 1121 at that x2088 season 4150 that x834 Elisha 477 had said 1696 z8765 unto x413 her, according to the time 6256 of life. 2416

 4:18 ¶ And when the child 3206 was grown, 1431 z8799 it fell x1961 on a day, 3117 that he went out 3318 z8799 to x413 his father 1 to x413 the reapers. 7114 z8802

 4:19 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 his father, 1 My head, 7218 my head. 7218 And he said 559 z8799 to x413 a lad, 5288 Carry 5375 z8798 him to x413 his mother. 517

 4:20 And when he had taken 5375 z8799 him, and brought 935 z8686 him to x413 his mother, 517 he sat 3427 z8799 on x5921 her knees 1290 till x5704 noon, 6672 and [then] died. 4191 z8799

 4:21 And she went up, 5927 z8799 and laid 7901 z8686 him on x5921 the bed 4296 of the man 376 of God, 430 and shut 5462 z8799 [the door] upon x1157 him, and went out. 3318 z8799

 4:22 And she called 7121 z8799 unto x413 her husband, 376 and said, 559 z8799 Send 7971 z8798 me, I pray thee, x4994 one 259 of x4480 the young men, 5288 and one 259 of the asses, 860 that I may run 7323 z8799 to x5704 the man 376 of God, 430 and come again. 7725 z8799

 4:23 And he said, 559 z8799 Wherefore x4069 wilt thou x859 go 1980 z8802 to x413 him today? 3117 [it is] neither x3808 new moon, 2320 nor x3808 sabbath. 7676 And she said, 559 z8799 [It shall be] well. 7965

 4:24 Then she saddled 2280 z8799 an ass, 860 and said 559 z8799 to x413 her servant, 5288 Drive, 5090 z8798 and go forward; y3212 z8798 x1980 slack 6113 z8799 not x408 [thy] riding 7392 z8800 for me, except x3588 x518 I bid 559 z8804 thee.

 4:25 So she went y3212 z8799 x1980 and came 935 z8799 unto x413 the man 376 of God 430 to x413 mount 2022 Carmel. 3760 And it came to pass, x1961 when the man 376 of God 430 saw x7200 her afar off, y7200 z8800 x4480 x5048 that he said 559 z8799 to x413 Gehazi 1522 his servant, 5288 Behold, x2009 [yonder is] that 1975 Shunammite: 7767

 4:26 Run 7323 z8798 now, x6258 I pray thee, x4994 to meet y7125 z8800 x7122 her, and say 559 z8798 unto her, [Is it] well 7965 with thee? [is it] well 7965 with thy husband? 376 [is it] well 7965 with the child? 3206 And she answered, 559 z8799 [It is] well. 7965

 4:27 And when she came 935 z8799 to x413 the man 376 of God 430 to x413 the hill, 2022 she caught 2388 z8686 him by the feet: 7272 but Gehazi 1522 came near 5066 z8799 to thrust her away. 1920 z8800 And the man 376 of God 430 said, 559 z8799 Let her alone; 7503 z8685 for x3588 her soul 5315 [is] vexed 4843 z8804 within her: and the LORD 3068 hath hid 5956 z8689 [it] from x4480 me, and hath not x3808 told 5046 z8689 me.

 4:28 Then she said, 559 z8799 Did I desire 7592 z8804 a son 1121 of x4480 x854 my lord? 113 did I not x3808 say, 559 z8804 Do not x3808 deceive 7952 z8686 me?

 4:29 Then he said 559 z8799 to Gehazi, 1522 Gird up 2296 z8798 thy loins, 4975 and take 3947 z8798 my staff 4938 in thine hand, 3027 and go thy way: y3212 z8798 x1980 if x3588 thou meet 4672 z8799 any man, 376 salute 1288 z8762 him not; x3808 and if x3588 any 376 salute 1288 z8762 thee, answer x6030 him not x3808 again: y6030 z8799 and lay 7760 z8804 my staff 4938 upon x5921 the face 6440 of the child. 5288

 4:30 And the mother 517 of the child 5288 said, 559 z8799 [As] the LORD 3068 liveth, 2416 and [as] thy soul 5315 liveth, 2416 I will not x518 leave 5800 z8799 thee. And he arose, 6965 z8799 and followed 310 y3212 z8799 x1980 her.

 4:31 And Gehazi 1522 passed on 5674 z8804 before 6440 them, and laid 7760 z8799 x853 the staff 4938 upon x5921 the face 6440 of the child; 5288 but [there was] neither x369 voice, 6963 nor x369 hearing. 7182 Wherefore he went again 7725 z8799 to meet y7125 z8800 x7122 him, and told 5046 z8686 him, saying, 559 z8800 The child 5288 is not x3808 awaked. 6974 z8689

 4:32 And when Elisha 477 was come 935 z8799 into the house, 1004 behold, x2009 the child 5288 was dead, 4191 z8801 [and] laid 7901 z8716 upon x5921 his bed. 4296

 4:33 He went in 935 z8799 therefore, and shut 5462 z8799 the door 1817 upon x1157 them twain, 8147 and prayed 6419 z8691 unto x413 the LORD. 3068

 4:34 And he went up, 5927 z8799 and lay 7901 z8799 upon x5921 the child, 3206 and put 7760 z8799 his mouth 6310 upon x5921 his mouth, 6310 and his eyes 5869 upon x5921 his eyes, 5869 and his hands 3709 upon x5921 his hands: 3709 and he stretched 1457 z8799 himself upon x5921 the child; and the flesh 1320 of the child 3206 waxed warm. 2552 z8799

 4:35 Then he returned, 7725 z8799 and walked y3212 z8799 x1980 in the house 1004 to y259 y2008 and fro; 259 2008 and went up, 5927 z8799 and stretched 1457 z8799 himself upon x5921 him: and the child 5288 sneezed 2237 z8779 x5704 seven 7651 times, 6471 and the child 5288 opened 6491 z8799 x853 his eyes. 5869

 4:36 And he called 7121 z8799 x413 Gehazi, 1522 and said, 559 z8799 Call 7121 z8798 x413 this x2063 Shunammite. 7767 So he called 7121 z8799 her. And when she was come x935 in y935 z8799 unto x413 him, he said, 559 z8799 Take up 5375 z8798 thy son. 1121

 4:37 Then she went in, 935 z8799 and fell 5307 z8799 at x5921 his feet, 7272 and bowed y7812 z8691 herself x7812 to the ground, 776 and took up 5375 z8799 x853 her son, 1121 and went out. 3318 z8799

 4:38 ¶ And Elisha 477 came again 7725 z8804 to Gilgal: 1537 and [there was] a dearth 7458 in the land; 776 and the sons 1121 of the prophets 5030 [were] sitting 3427 z8802 before 6440 him: and he said 559 z8799 unto his servant, 5288 Set y8239 z8798 on x8239 the great 1419 pot, 5518 and seethe 1310 z8761 pottage 5138 for the sons 1121 of the prophets. 5030

 4:39 And one 259 went out 3318 z8799 into x413 the field 7704 to gather 3950 z8763 herbs, 219 and found 4672 z8799 a wild 7704 vine, 1612 and gathered 3950 z8762 thereof x4480 wild 7704 gourds 6498 his lap 899 full, 4393 and came 935 z8799 and shred 6398 z8762 [them] into x413 the pot 5518 of pottage: 5138 for x3588 they knew 3045 z8804 [them] not. x3808

 4:40 So they poured out 3332 z8799 for the men y582 x376 to eat. 398 z8800 And it came to pass, x1961 as they were eating 398 z8800 of the pottage, 5138 x4480 that they x1992 cried out, 6817 z8804 and said, 559 z8799 O [thou] man 376 of God, 430 [there is] death 4194 in the pot. 5518 And they could 3201 z8804 not x3808 eat 398 z8800 [thereof].

 4:41 But he said, 559 z8799 Then bring 3947 z8798 meal. 7058 And he cast 7993 z8686 [it] into x413 the pot; 5518 and he said, 559 z8799 Pour out 3332 z8798 for the people, 5971 that they may eat. 398 z8799 And there was x1961 no x3808 harm 1697 7451 in the pot. 5518

 4:42 ¶ And there came 935 z8802 a man 376 from Baal-shalisha, 1190 x4480 and brought 935 z8686 the man 376 of God 430 bread 3899 of the firstfruits, 1061 twenty 6242 loaves 3899 of barley, 8184 and full ears of corn 3759 in the husk 6861 thereof. And he said, 559 z8799 Give 5414 z8798 unto the people, 5971 that they may eat. 398 z8799

 4:43 And his servitor 8334 z8764 said, 559 z8799 What, x4100 should I set 5414 z8799 this x2088 before 6440 a hundred 3967 men? 376 He said x559 again, y559 z8799 Give 5414 z8798 the people, 5971 that they may eat: 398 z8799 for x3588 thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 the LORD, 3068 They shall eat, 398 z8800 and shall leave 3498 z8687 [thereof].

 4:44 So he set 5414 z8799 [it] before 6440 them, and they did eat, 398 z8799 and left 3498 z8686 [thereof], according to the word 1697 of the LORD. 3068
