Hosea 1

1 Hosea, to shew God's judgment for spiritual whoredom, taketh Gomer, 4 and hath by her Jezreel, 6 Lo-ruhamah, 8 and Lo-ammi. 10 The restoration of Judah and Israel.

 1:1 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 that x834 came x1961 unto x413 Hosea, 1954 the son 1121 of Beeri, 882 in the days 3117 of Uzziah, 5818 Jotham, 3147 Ahaz, 271 [and] Hezekiah, 3169 kings 4428 of Judah, 3063 and in the days 3117 of Jeroboam 3379 the son 1121 of Joash, 3101 king 4428 of Israel. 3478

 1:2 The beginning 8462 of the word 1696 z8763 of the LORD 3068 by Hosea. 1954 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 to x413 Hosea, 1954 Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 take 3947 z8798 unto thee a wife 802 of whoredoms 2183 and children 3206 of whoredoms: 2183 for x3588 the land 776 hath committed great y2181 z8800 whoredom, 2181 z8799 [departing] from 310 x4480 the LORD. 3068

 1:3 So he went y3212 z8799 x1980 and took 3947 z8799 x853 Gomer 1586 the daughter 1323 of Diblaim; 1691 which conceived, 2029 z8799 and bare 3205 z8799 him a son. 1121

 1:4 And the LORD 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Call 7121 z8798 his name 8034 Jezreel; 3157 for x3588 yet x5750 a little 4592 [while], and I will avenge 6485 z8804 x853 the blood 1818 of Jezreel 3157 upon x5921 the house 1004 of Jehu, 3058 and will cause to cease 7673 z8689 the kingdom 4468 of the house 1004 of Israel. 3478

 1:5 And it shall come to pass x1961 at that x1931 day, 3117 that I will break 7665 z8804 x853 the bow 7198 of Israel 3478 in the valley 6010 of Jezreel. 3157

 1:6 ¶ And she conceived x2029 again, y2029 z8799 x5750 and bare 3205 z8799 a daughter. 1323 And [God] said 559 z8799 unto him, Call 7121 z8798 her name 8034 Loruhamah: 3819 z8795 for x3588 I will no x3808 more 3254 z8686 x5750 have mercy y7355 z8762 upon x7355 x853 the house 1004 of Israel; 3478 but x3588 I will utterly y5375 z8800 take them away. 5375 z8799

 1:7 But I will have mercy y7355 z8762 upon x7355 the house 1004 of Judah, 3063 and will save 3467 z8689 them by the LORD 3068 their God, 430 and will not x3808 save 3467 z8686 them by bow, 7198 nor by sword, 2719 nor by battle, 4421 by horses, 5483 nor by horsemen. 6571

 1:8 ¶ Now when she had weaned 1580 z8799 x853 Loruhamah, 3819 z8795 she conceived, 2029 z8799 and bare 3205 z8799 a son. 1121

 1:9 Then said 559 z8799 [God], Call 7121 z8798 his name 8034 Loammi: 3818 for x3588 ye x859 [are] not x3808 my people, 5971 and I x595 will not x3808 be x1961 your [God].

 1:10 ¶ Yet the number 4557 of the children 1121 of Israel 3478 shall be x1961 as the sand 2344 of the sea, 3220 which x834 cannot x3808 be measured 4058 z8735 nor x3808 numbered; 5608 z8735 and it shall come to pass, x1961 [that] in the place 4725 where x834 it was said 559 z8735 unto them, Ye x859 [are] not x3808 my people, 5971 [there] it shall be said 559 z8735 unto them, [Ye are] the sons 1121 of the living 2416 God. 410

 1:11 Then shall the children 1121 of Judah 3063 and the children 1121 of Israel 3478 be gathered y6908 z8738 together, 3162 x6908 and appoint 7760 z8804 themselves one 259 head, 7218 and they shall come up 5927 z8804 out of x4480 the land: 776 for x3588 great 1419 [shall be] the day 3117 of Jezreel. 3157
