Deuteronomy 13

1 Enticers to idolatry, 6 how near soever unto thee, 10 are to be stoned to death. 12 Idolatrous cities are not to be spared.

 13:1 ¶ If x3588 there arise 6965 z8799 among 7130 you a prophet, 5030 or x176 a dreamer 2492 z8802 of dreams, 2472 and giveth 5414 z8804 x413 thee a sign 226 or x176 a wonder, 4159

 13:2 And the sign 226 or the wonder 4159 come to pass, 935 z8804 whereof x834 he spake 1696 z8765 unto x413 thee, saying, 559 z8800 Let us go y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 other 312 gods, 430 which x834 thou hast not x3808 known, 3045 z8804 and let us serve 5647 z8714 them;

 13:3 Thou shalt not x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 unto x413 the words 1697 of that x1931 prophet, 5030 or x176 that x1931 dreamer 2492 z8802 of dreams: 2472 for x3588 the LORD 3068 your God 430 proveth 5254 z8764 you, to know 3045 z8800 whether x3426 ye y3426 love 157 z8802 x853 the LORD 3068 your God 430 with all x3605 your heart 3824 and with all x3605 your soul. 5315

 13:4 Ye shall walk y3212 z8799 x1980 after 310 the LORD 3068 your God, 430 and fear 3372 z8799 him, and keep 8104 z8799 his commandments, 4687 and obey 8085 z8799 his voice, 6963 and ye shall serve 5647 z8799 him, and cleave 1692 z8799 unto him.

 13:5 And that x1931 prophet, 5030 or x176 that x1931 dreamer 2492 z8802 of dreams, 2472 shall be put to death; 4191 z8714 because x3588 he hath spoken 1696 z8765 to turn y5627 [you] away x5627 from x5921 the LORD 3068 your God, 430 which brought you out 3318 z8688 x853 of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 and redeemed 6299 z8802 you out of the house 1004 x4480 of bondage, 5650 to thrust 5080 z8687 thee out of x4480 the way 1870 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 commanded 6680 z8765 thee to walk x1980 in. y3212 z8800 So shalt thou put y1197 z0 the evil y7451 away 1197 z8765 x7451 from the midst 7130 x4480 of thee.

 13:6 ¶ If x3588 thy brother, 251 the son y1121 x121 of thy mother, 517 or x176 thy son, 1121 or x176 thy daughter, 1323 or x176 the wife 802 of thy bosom, 2436 or x176 thy friend, 7453 which x834 [is] as thine own soul, 5315 entice 5496 z8686 thee secretly, 5643 saying, 559 z8800 Let us go y3212 z8799 x1980 and serve 5647 z8799 other 312 gods, 430 which x834 thou hast not x3808 known, 3045 z8804 thou, x859 nor thy fathers; 1

 13:7 [Namely], of the gods 430 x4480 of the people 5971 which x834 [are] round about 5439 you, nigh 7138 unto x413 thee, or x176 far off 7350 from x4480 thee, from the [one] end 7097 x4480 of the earth 776 even unto x5704 the [other] end 7097 of the earth; 776

 13:8 Thou shalt not x3808 consent 14 z8799 unto him, nor x3808 hearken 8085 z8799 unto x413 him; neither x3808 shall thine eye 5869 pity 2347 z8799 x5921 him, neither x3808 shalt thou spare, 2550 z8799 neither x3808 shalt thou conceal 3680 z8762 x5921 him:

 13:9 But x3588 thou shalt surely y2026 z8800 kill 2026 z8799 him; thine hand 3027 shall be x1961 first 7223 upon him to put him to death, 4191 z8687 and afterwards 314 the hand 3027 of all x3605 the people. 5971

 13:10 And thou shalt stone 5619 z8804 him with stones, 68 that he die; 4191 z8804 because x3588 he hath sought 1245 z8765 to thrust thee away 5080 z8687 from x4480 x5921 the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 which brought thee out 3318 z8688 of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 from the house 1004 x4480 of bondage. 5650

 13:11 And all x3605 Israel 3478 shall hear, 8085 z8799 and fear, 3372 z8799 and shall do 6213 z8800 no x3808 more 3254 z8686 any 1697 such wickedness 7451 as this x2088 is among 7130 you.

 13:12 ¶ If x3588 thou shalt hear 8085 z8799 [say] in one 259 of thy cities, 5892 which x834 the LORD 3068 thy God 430 hath given 5414 z8802 thee to dwell 3427 z8800 there, x8033 saying, 559 z8800

 13:13 [Certain] men, y582 x376 the children 1121 of Belial, 1100 are gone out 3318 z8804 from among 7130 x4480 you, and have withdrawn 5080 z8686 x853 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of their city, 5892 saying, 559 z8800 Let us go y3212 z8799 x1980 and serve 5647 z8799 other 312 gods, 430 which x834 ye have not x3808 known; 3045 z8804

 13:14 Then shalt thou enquire, 1875 z8804 and make search, 2713 z8804 and ask 7592 z8804 diligently; 3190 z8687 and, behold, x2009 [if it be] truth, 571 [and] the thing 1697 certain, 3559 z8737 [that] such 2063 abomination 8441 is wrought 6213 z8738 among 7130 you;

 13:15 Thou shalt surely y5221 z8687 smite 5221 z8686 x853 the inhabitants 3427 z8802 of that x1931 city 5892 with the edge 6310 of the sword, 2719 destroying it utterly, 2763 z8685 x853 and all x3605 that x834 [is] therein, and the cattle 929 thereof, with the edge 6310 of the sword. 2719

 13:16 And thou shalt gather 6908 z8799 all x3605 the spoil 7998 of it into x413 the midst 8432 of the street 7339 thereof, and shalt burn 8313 z8804 with fire 784 x853 the city, 5892 and all x3605 the spoil 7998 thereof every whit, 3632 for the LORD 3068 thy God: 430 and it shall be x1961 an heap 8510 for ever; 5769 it shall not x3808 be built x1129 again. y1129 z8735 x5750

 13:17 And there shall cleave 1692 z8799 nought 3972 x3808 of x4480 the cursed thing 2764 to thine hand: 3027 that x4616 the LORD 3068 may turn 7725 z8799 from the fierceness 2740 x4480 of his anger, 639 and shew 5414 z8804 thee mercy, 7356 and have compassion 7355 z8765 upon thee, and multiply 7235 z8689 thee, as x834 he hath sworn 7650 z8738 unto thy fathers; 1

 13:18 When x3588 thou shalt hearken 8085 z8799 to the voice 6963 of the LORD 3068 thy God, 430 to keep 8104 z8800 x853 all x3605 his commandments 4687 which x834 I x595 command 6680 z8764 thee this day, 3117 to do 6213 z8800 [that which is] right 3477 in the eyes 5869 of the LORD 3068 thy God. 430
