Lamentations 3

1 The faithful bewail their calamities. 22 By the mercies of God they nourish their hope. 37 They acknowledge God's justice. 55 They pray for deliverance, 64 and vengeance on their enemies.

 3:1 ¶ I x589 [Am] the man 1397 [that] hath seene 7200 z8804 affliction 6040 by the rod 7626 of his wrath. 5678

 3:2 He hath led 5090 z8804 me and brought y3212 z8686 x1980 [mee into] darkenesse, 2822 but not x3808 into light. 216

 3:3 Surely x389 against me is he turned, 7725 z8799 he turneth 2015 z8799 his hand 3027 [against me] all x3605 the day. 3117

 3:4 My flesh 1320 and my skinne 5785 hath he made old, 1086 z8765 he hath broken 7665 z8765 my bones. 6106

 3:5 He hath builded x1129 against y1129 z8804 x5921 me, and compassed 5362 z8686 [me] with gall 7219 and trauel. 8513

 3:6 He hath set 3427 z8689 me in darke places, 4285 as they that be dead 4191 z8801 of old. 5769

 3:12 He hath bent 1869 z8804 his bow, 7198 and set 5324 z8686 me as a marke 4307 for the arrow. 2671

 3:13 Hee hath caused the arrowes 1121 of his quiuer 827 to enter 935 z8689 into my reines. 3629

 3:14 I was x1961 a derision 7814 to all x3605 my people, 5971 [and] their song 5058 all x3605 the day. 3117

 3:15 Hee hath filled 7646 z8689 me with bitternesse, 4844 hee hath made me drunken 7301 z8689 with wormewood. 3939

 3:16 He hath also broken 1638 z8686 my teeth 8127 with grauell stones, 2687 hee hath couered 3728 z8689 me with ashes. 665

 3:22 ¶ [It is of] the LORDS 3068 mercies 2617 that x3588 wee are not x3808 consumed, 8552 z8804 because x3588 his compassions 7356 faile 3615 z8804 not. x3808

 3:23 [They are] newe 2319 euery morning: 1242 great 7227 [is] thy faithfulnesse. 530

 3:24 The LORD 3068 [is] my portion, 2506 sayth 559 z8804 my soule, 5315 therefore x5921 x3651 will I hope 3176 z8686 in him.

 3:25 The LORD 3068 [is] good 2896 vnto them that waite y6960 z8802 for x6960 him, to the soule 5315 [that] seeketh 1875 z8799 him.

 3:26 [It is] good 2896 that [a man] should both hope 3175 z8675 y2342 z8799 and quietly wait 1748 for the saluation 8668 of the LORD. 3068

 3:27 [It is] good 2896 for a man 1397 that x3588 he beare 5375 z8799 the yoke 5923 in his youth. 5271

 3:28 Hee sitteth 3427 z8799 alone 910 and keepeth silence, 1826 z8799 because x3588 hee hath borne 5190 z8804 [it] vpon x5921 him.

 3:29 He putteth 5414 z8799 his mouth 6310 in the dust, 6083 if so be x194 there may be 3426 hope. 8615

 3:30 Hee giueth 5414 z8799 his cheeke 3895 to him that smiteth 5221 z8688 him, hee is filled full 7646 z8799 with reproch. 2781

 3:32 But x3588 though x518 hee cause griefe, 3013 z8689 yet will hee haue compassion 7355 z8765 according to the multitude 7230 of his mercies. 2617

 3:58 O Lord, 136 thou hast pleaded 7378 z8804 the causes 7379 of my soule, 5315 thou hast redeemed 1350 z8804 my life. 2416

 3:59 O LORD, 3068 thou hast seene 7200 z8804 my wrong, 5792 iudge 8199 z8798 thou my cause. 4941

 3:65 Giue 5414 z8799 them sorrow 4044 of heart, 3820 thy curse 8381 vnto them.

 3:66 Persecute 7291 z8799 and destroy 8045 z8686 [them] in anger, 639 from vnder x4480 x8478 the heauens 8064 of the LORD. 3068
